Visited this place in the morning and honestly, it was such a calm and refreshing experience. Crowd was average—not too busy—so I got enough time to explore peacefully. The temple is really beautiful with detailed carvings, huge mantapas, and a lovely green lawn around. You get that old heritage feel mixed with natural beauty. The stepped temple tank with water and turtles is worth spending a few quiet moments at. This place is perfect for a half-day outing, especially if you're visiting Nandi Hills nearby. Many people say it’s well-maintained and a hidden gem, and I totally agree. A few even mentioned it's a great place for photography or just to sit and relax under the trees. Do keep an eye on monkeys though, especially if you have food in hand. Otherwise, everything was neat, clean, and peaceful. Totally recommend it for a short spiritual and nature-filled getaway from city life.

The place was extremely lovely. I visited there on a beautiful June morning. Luckily, I got a chance to witness a traditional marriage there. As I'm from another state, the ceremony was a fresh experience, and I really enjoyed the ambiance with my family. If you're visiting, make sure to read a little about the history. ஆங்கிலத்தில் எழுதுவதற்கு மன்னிக்கவும். After having a good breakfast, we drove to the junction to fill up petrol for the car and then turned back to drive towards this temple. We took the neelamangala - chikkaballapur road and it was really bad till we crossed the kandavara lake. After that the road was beautiful to drive. Though when we started from chennai, we wanted to visit this temple, but due to time constraints we thought we cannot visit this temple. Totally forgot about this temple, and we were enjoying the wonderful drive we were having, suddenly the road was turning left and right, and right infront of us was the wonderful temple. Then we remembered that we wanted to visit this temple. Immediately stopped the car and went inside the temple. WOW wow wow wow what a wonderful temple, definitely a must see temple in one's life time. Basically it is a twin temple inside one complex. On the southern side you have Lord Arunachaleswara, and on the northern side you have Lord Bhoga nandeeshwara. Both the shiva linga's are massive and look beautiful. There are two ambals also inside the temple, one of them Aptigujambal and the other ambal is Girijambigai. Temple faces east, Both the shiva linga's faces east. Both the ambals faces east, One kodimaram and lighting pillar present. No rajagopuram. They have a wonderful pond on the northern side of the temple, but for reasons unknown they have locked it. They say that the temple is under "ASI", but not sure. The Architecture is simply wonderful to look at. You also have the famous "Stone Umbrella" in the main mandapam. We were happy and felt blessed when the priest for both the temples showed us aarathi for the both the lords. We went on a friday and a holiday so there was lot of moving crowd. Definitely a wonderful temple to visit if you are in this area.

This is an old and historically significant temple near nandi hills, definitely worth visiting for those interested in heritage and culture. The temple falls under the Archaeological Survey of India, but unfortunately, some parts are not well maintained. The surroundings could be cleaner, which takes away from the serene atmosphere you’d expect at such a sacred site. There is a designated parking area, which is convenient, but the parking fee of ₹40 feels a bit too high considering the overall facilities. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and upkeep, this temple could offer a much better experience to visitors.
