I frequently visit the park with my daughter, who is a child with physical disabilities, and I truly appreciate that the park thoughtfully includes a dedicated play area designed specifically for children with special needs. Sri Chamarajendra Park is an expansive and exquisitely maintained green oasis located in the very heart of Bengaluru. Rich in diverse flora and home to various species of birds and animals, the park offers a refreshing and immersive natural experience that makes every walk feel invigorating. We happened to visit during the flower festival, and the experience was nothing short of delightful—the vibrant floral displays added an extra layer of charm and visual splendour to our stroll. What stands out most is the profound sense of tranquility the park offers. The moment you step inside, the noise and chaos of the city seem to dissolve—no honking traffic, no overwhelming crowds, only serene pathways and peaceful, well-kept corners. It is an ideal retreat for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. One of my favourite places in Bangalore, the park is beautifully laid out with expansive seating lawns, a children’s play area, a designated dog park, activity zones, and a dedicated performance space. On weekdays, limited vehicular access is permitted, while Sundays transform the entire stretch into a vehicle-free zone, significantly enhancing the overall visitor experience. The park hosts a variety of activities throughout the week, with Sundays being particularly vibrant, featuring cultural performances, community events, and a lively gathering of visitors. Whether you are spending time with family, meeting friends, or enjoying a solitary walk, this park offers a truly enriching and memorable experience.

Sri Chamarajendra Park was developed during the British period as a public garden for the people of Bengaluru. It was created to give the city a green and open space where people could relax and enjoy nature. Later, the park was renamed to honor Sri Chamarajendra Wodeyar, a former ruler of Mysore. Over the years, the park has grown with many trees, statues, and historic buildings around it. Today, it stands as a reminder of Bengaluru’s past and its long tradition of caring for public spaces and greenery.

Cubbon park is beautiful public park located near majestic. GATE 6 also has cycling options which we can rent upto an hour and cycle through the whole park. Nice experience overall. Also good for strolling dogs.

The park is full of different plants, trees, and even various animals, which makes walking around feel refreshing and lively. We visited during the flower festival and had an absolutely lovely walk—the colorful displays made the whole experience even more special. What I loved most is how peaceful it felt. Once you’re inside, it’s like stepping out of the busy city: no honking, no crowds, just calm paths and clean, quiet corners. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cubbon Park is a beautiful green escape in the heart of Bangalore. The park is very clean, peaceful, and perfect for morning walks, jogging, or just relaxing with family and friends. The trees, flowers, and open spaces make it refreshing and calm. It’s also a great place for kids to play and spend time in nature. The atmosphere is soothing and well-maintained. A must-visit place for anyone who wants a break from city noise! 🌿✨

Recently, I visited Cubbon Park in Bangalore, and it turned out to be a refreshing escape from the city’s chaos. Spread across around 300 acres, this lush green paradise is truly the “lungs” of the city. The moment I entered, I was welcomed by tall trees, fresh air, and the sound of birds — a rare treat in a busy metro. The good part is definitely the peaceful atmosphere. You’ll see joggers, cyclists, families, and even pet lovers enjoying their time here. The park is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of benches to sit and relax. The State Central Library with its iconic red building inside the park adds a classic charm — perfect spot for photos. It’s also very safe and ideal for morning walks or evening strolls. However, there are a few downsides too. Parking can be a headache on weekends, and sometimes the park gets overcrowded. In a few corners, you might also spot people littering, which slightly ruins the beauty of the place. The park opens from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and I’d suggest the best time to visit is early morning between 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM — when it’s calm, less crowded, and the weather feels amazing. Overall, Cubbon Park is a must-visit for nature lovers, fitness enthusiasts, or anyone looking to take a break from Bangalore’s traffic and noise.

Bengaluru is almost synonymous with ‘Cubbon Park.’ The lush green park has been the lung for the sprawling metropolis for quite some time now. The sheer size and variety of the park space enthrall me no end. ‘Flower Show – 2025’ was a reason for my partner and I to visit the park once more on December 1, 2025 (Saturday). The entry fee was Rs. 30/- for an adult. Once inside, we simply loved the show. Elephants, chariots, deers, chickens, and many other shapes were made using flowers. The colour and design were mesmerizing. While the space was quite crowded, we did manage to see the entire show in addition to buying a few art pieces from the temporary shops inside. Man, I do love ‘Cubbon Park’ and how!
