Sri Venkateswara Temple Helensburgh Limited NSW Australia

It was really nice to visit this temple. This was the main reason we wanted to visit Helensburgh. It was mostly quiet but a bit busy so we could not sit there in the temple as we generally sit for some peaceful time. It was nice to visit though especially on a rainy day which made everything beautiful anyway. The temple inside is pretty and you would once forget that you are in Australia. The sculptures and idols were beautiful. The hygiene is something the temple authority should take seriously. There was no door mat etc on a rainy day and we entered the temple premises with wet feet and you can understand how dirty it can make a place when 50-60 people go like that back to back. There were a number of squeezed lemons were left inside the entrance which were looking gross. We didn’t try the canteen.

Visited the Helensburgh Venkateswara Temple on the auspicious day of Vaikunta Ekadasi 🙏. Even though it was jam-packed with devotees, there was plenty of parking available 🚗 and the arrangements were well managed. The temple is rich in culture, calm, and filled with a positive spiritual vibe ✨. It truly feels no different from visiting a traditional temple in India 🇮🇳🛕.Would say a perfect or must visit place if you are in sydney 🙏🙏🙏

We weren’t expecting this temple to be around the corner so we made a surprise visit. It is very impressive and it was a treat to explore a different culture. I wasn’t dressed for the occasion so we went to the desk on the left and a nice man gave me a wrap to cover my legs (and even chose one to match my top)! No photos are allowed inside but it was so colourful and has hundreds of statues and intricate carvings. We really enjoyed the visit, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to explore and learn.

Nice relaxing place. Visit during week day, hardly someone was their. No one was to attend you until the time comes and they open the gate.

A nice experience, with good food and a serene temple atmosphere. Plus the service was extremely fast. But this temple is missing out on the 2 stars for a reason. The HYGIENE. The tables where you are SUPPOSED to have a nice, enjoyable lunch are pockmarked with so many large holes it looks like they have been shot multiple times with a Glock 19. Seriously, if you like having lunches calmly and cleanly, then you would rather eat in the forest. Also, why don’t they add more seating?! There are giant tables, so solo travellers don’t feel at home or have any privacy!! I hope they consider these issues and properly make amends to the public and beyond.

Always the best place to be for the worship and for peace. I would recommend everyone to come to Sri Venkateswara if you are feeling down, the deuti will give you power for sure.

I had such a special experience visiting Sri Venkateswara Balaji Temple 🤍 There is a serene section for Lord Shiva and another for Lord Balaji — both feel incredibly powerful and peaceful. I went on a weekday, alone, all the way from Schofields by train, and it was raining a lot. Tip: definitely carry an umbrella — Sydney weather loves surprises 😄☔️ From the station I took a bus and then walked up the hill — the temple is located at a beautiful height, and the moment you reach the top you really feel that the Lord is present there. The priest in the Balaji section was so kind, warm and helpful — it made the darshan feel even more personal and comforting 🙏 The temple is very clean, calm, and well-maintained. It is a bit far, so plan your travel with some extra time, but the journey is worth every step. And in a very sweet way, I truly felt that Lord arranged my trip back home as well — I didn’t feel alone at all, only protected and cared for 🤍 If you can, bring your family and friends too. It’s a place that stays in your heart long after you leave . Om Namo Venkatesaya 🙏✨

This temple used to be a genuine devotional place and service oriented which gives you a peaceful spiritual experience, this was 10 years ago. Unfortunately, now everything here feels highly commercialised. Tickets, Donation boxes, e-hundis are placed everywhere, and there seems to be constant emphasis on money rather than devotion. Special darshan, faster queues, separate lines — almost everything appears to revolve around payments. There is lot signs of dress code etc which restricts to come people from other religions. Now one smiles here. Every priest will be very serious and no smile as if the people who failed in their life will come here. The canteen is another fun attraction. Its very unhygienic at dining. And the blokes who do service here show their attitude of sad and sorrowness and they feel "Do I need to serve these guys" Very seriousness in their face and you don't see any happiness and smile in any one's face.
