St Andrews Heritage Museum & Garden

Visited recently after the renovations. They have done a great job. The Staff were friendly and very knowledgable. It’s really a hidden gem. A great set up of smaller exhibits and the new addition to the garden/exhibition space. We were there for 1.5 hours and will need to go back. Lovely collection of older photos of the town and “sweet shop”memorabilia. Great mix for locals and tourists.

Amazing place. You pay once and that's your annual pass. I have been twice and only looked around the first floor. Really helpful and informative members of staff. Canny praise the experience enough. 10/10. Will be going back next week too.

Please be aware no longer free for non residential visitors. Decent museum with an beautiful new space built outside, at the time had a really interesting Ukraine exhibition relating to migration. Worth a visit and you can re-visit within a year once you have brought a ticket.

A hidden gem. Quirky with interesting interiors of local shops- chemist, blacksmith etc. The garden is a haven of peace and tranquility. Benches to sit and listen to the happy buzzy bees. Friendly staff, old building, narrow old staircase access to first floor

Amazing place with amazing people, totally free, but you can do donations 🩷 I absolutely love the chemist shop and garden. Definitely worth to step in and have a look .

Destroyed by inappropriate redevelopment. A beautiful old house has been ‘gutted’ of its content and made into a near empty space containing a few interesting items. A common theme being immigrants including Italian Polish and Ukrainian. The garden is one quarter taken up by a new building which again is near empty apart from a sparsely populated exhibition on Ukraine telling a very one sided view of the horrific war there. A few buts of interesting St. Andrews related items were in a brick outhouse. We were greeted by a pompous English woman wearing a Ukrainian flag ribbon. All staff members wore the trendy virtue signalling ribbon. I wonder how the Polish decedents who live in St. Andrews felt about the Ukrainian exhibition? Disgusted. The Preservation Trust needs new leaders.

Small places on the main Street. Brilliant though. Go in the summer so you can enjoy the multi area garden. It's small inside but gardens area is great. Plus the place is free to get in and the helpers inside are very helpful. Great free local place. Enjoyed it.

A lovely little museum in an historic building. You're greeted by very nice friendly staff. Has a handy little shop. Definitely worth going through to the beautiful garden. Lots of interesting historic artefacts.
