St. Ann Catholic Church

A visual treasure of the Catholic faith. The choir singing discretely out of view adds to the ability to focus on the Holy Sacrifice. A must see if you're visiting Charlotte.

Went to a family carnival here at the church in Charlotte, NC off of Park Rd. Had rides, food, games, raffle and a silent auction. Everyone very friendly. Had fun.

Very devout parish adhering to many of the earlier Catholic Church traditions, including offering Communion using a Communion Rail and a high pulpit. The parishioners, by my observation, also follow the earlier Catholic Church traditions, such as women wearing veils, and other semantics - but it was VERY refreshing to see and made me feel happy to see these long-time traditions back in practice. I attended an early morning Mass and there were a good number of parishioners present, including young families, so that was encouraging to see.

A beautiful, orthodox Catholic church of which I am proud to be a parishioner! The parish is vibrant with reverent liturgy, a holy pastor, and plenty of young families. It is wonderful to have a diocesan parish that celebrates and encourages both the Ordinary and Extraordinary forms of the Latin Rite.

For Catholics who are traditionalists St. Ann Church is where you want to belong. A smaller congregation gives you a feeling of warmth and community. Fr. Reid is accommodating to every culture and their customs.

We love St. Ann's. It's a very traditional church and they take worship very seriously so those hoping for a more "welcoming" vibe will probably be disappointed. However if you're a more traditional Catholic like myself and you want a place of real, honest worship rather than just "good vibes", St. Ann's is terrific. Fr. Reid gives great homilies he's more right to Catholic teachings and truth rather than a roundabout superfluous story like some priests. I really love the use of the communion rail during communion.

Visited from out of town, gorgeous liturgy and church building, fantastic choir, Fr. Reid was excellent. I went for the Christmas midnight Mass.

A traditional Catholic Church with traditional Catholic values. During these trying times, I feel reassured by a mass true to the order. Amen to that!

I cannot say enough how much I respect this church. Fr. Reid leads the souls of this church to reverently follow the teachings of the traditional Catholic faith. Many female parishioners can be seen wearing beautiful lace head coverings that many have not seen worn in church in over 50 years. The teachings are presented conservatively and special ceremonial processions for days of prayer. Although there is only one priest assigned to this church, the church is able to effectively manage the needs of the parishioners. Currently, masses are available to be viewed online. The church also makes semi-weekly donations to the local food pantry.

first time coming to this church, had such a great time. was instantly taken aback by the statues in the area. will come back some time soon!

I've visited St An's for the second time in the past year last weekend, for New Years Day. Both times I attended the 1230 Liatin Mass, and seems to be not only a High Mass but SOLEMN High Mass! When you are lucky enough to find a Novus Ordo parish offering a Latin Mass, its usually a Low Mass. still a Mass, but the High Mass is always sung, not just read. My parish is St. Benedicts Parish in Chesapeake VA (about 5 hours from there). Our parish is staffed by FSSP priests, with 4 Masses, all the Traditional Latin Mass. Some churches Ive been to while traveling offer a Latin Mass, but usuallly a Low Mass, and sometimes not always to par. BUT - Fr Reid is amazing! As well as the 2 deacons, who assisted at this as deacon and sub deacon. I felt like I was back home in Chesapeake! The church is beautiful, the Mass was beautiful, and most important, the priests, clergy, and congregation were as well! This past year I've traveled here as well as 3 other places (FL, Iowa, and CT._) I found parishes offering the Latin Mass, and some were boh novus ordo as well as rhe LM. All including , my own parish, have so many young people! The Latin Mass is NOT just older people nostalgic for the old days! St. Ann's pastor, clergy, Mass, are spot on! Keep up the Good work!

Beautiful, holy church upholding the truth of the Catholic faith boldly and faithfully. Beautiful chapel that hosts adoration Tuesday and Wednesday.

This is a wonderful parish with a beautiful church. We love the latin mass at 12:30 on Sunday. Give father reid and the crew a try. .

My son and I were in Charlotte for a sporting event. He did not want to miss mass because he is in the midst of being confirmed. We chose to attend the Saturday afternoon mass. St. Ann is a beautiful church, I loved the setting and the people around us were very friendly. We do not have a communion rail at our church and my son has never had the opportunity to take communion from that position. As we were walking up I whispered to him to observe what other parishioners were doing. It was our turn and we both went to the rail and knelt in reverence. We both placed our cupped hands out to receive the Eucharist. As the priest came up to my son he sternly chastised my son and said "Son, this is God, you need to raise your hands higher". I was shocked by the way this priest treated my son during this most holy moment of the mass. My son was very upset and distraught as we left the church and was asking my why the priest would treat a parishioner like that. I'm sure we will be in Charlotte in the future and we will have to find a more welcoming church to attend.

This is our family parish and the priest, congregation and church are all just beautiful. The Father at this parish is something special.
