20 Best Things to Do in St. Augustine, Florida

"A wildlife park offering up-close, educational encounters with alligators and crocodiles, highlighted by the Crocodile Crossing zip line and ropes course that lets visitors soar safely above the animals, plus a rookery where hundreds of wading birds nest each year—making it especially rewarding for birders seeking species like roseate spoonbills and various herons." - Skye Sherman Skye Sherman Skye Sherman is a travel writer based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Amazing place! All the animals look to be very well taken care of. A beautiful layout most of which is under tree canopy. You feel like you in the country that the animals come from. We absolutely loved it Great parking and tons of stuff to do for the little ones.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Must-See Attraction in Florida! The Alligator Farm in St. Augustine was one of our top must-see attractions during our summer trip to Florida, and it did not disappoint! I work with an individual with a disability, and having accompanied the individual, we were both able to get in free—an unexpected and much-appreciated blessing. Before visiting, I called ahead and the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful in answering all of my questions. Check-in was smooth and easy, though the area right outside the entrance was a bit crowded. Once inside, it was fascinating to see the variety of alligators and other wildlife. There are some quieter areas away from the crowds where you can truly appreciate the natural beauty and watch the alligators in their element. One memorable moment was walking across a bridge when the alligators suddenly let out a loud growl—we didn’t make it all the way across, but it was definitely a unique experience! Now, fair warning: it does smell in quite a few areas, which is to be expected with so many animals and the heat. Just be prepared for that—it’s part of the experience. It was extremely hot the day we went, but thankfully there was an air-conditioned area and a shaded spot (the theater) to cool off. For the adventurous, there’s even a zip line that goes right over the alligators—such a cool feature! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and definitely one for the memory books. Highly recommend!

We had a blast on the ropes /zipline course. Staff friendly and safety oriented. Do NOT do the red course if you are not somewhat fit or have mobility issues. Enjoyed the park. They have a 10% veteran/military discount. Relatively cheap beer and buying a souvenir cup gets you FREE soda refills. All staff very friendly. Food is good, 4 pc chicken strip meal could feed a mom and kid. I am a FL native so pretty used to gators but man, they have some big fat boys here.

One of the best zoos we have ever been to ever. Never seen so many crocodilians in one day. There are 26 species in the world and this place HAS THEM ALL!! It was in the upper 80’s and sunny when we were there, but it was never hot at all because the whole place has big trees that provided shade everywhere. My favorite area was the swamp walk way. I felt like I was walking through the Everglades. All the enclosures were big, beautiful, and well maintained. Lots of other animals also like giant tortoises, turtles, birds, snakes, sloths, and lemurs. No bad odor anywhere. We went on a weekday, and there weren’t too many people at all. Would go back again next time we’re in St Augustine.

Google
One of the cooler zoos I’ve visited in a long time. It was a HOT day so I’m glad I brought a cold bottle of water 🥵. They have so many cool sections about all the different alligators. I had no idea there were so many species and how big they actually could get. As you walk by, there are other wildlife like birds and tortoise. Very family friendly and also good for a solo traveler like me. I found the indoor exhibit about Gomek was really cool and informative. They had short shows that were scheduled at different times like alligator feeding or an educational one about reptiles. At the end there is a huge gift shop to check out. Would recommend this as a tourist stop if you’re in the area!

Google
Found this Alligator zoo to be AMAZING. So much to see and learn about. Over 500 Alligators and much more. Lots of shade overhead and bathrooms everywhere you go. Good concession to enjoy shaded meals and drinks. Great for kids and adults alike.

If you are in St. Augustine and looking for something fun and a little wild, the Alligator Farm is worth checking out. It is not just alligators. They have crocodiles, birds, reptiles, and even some monkeys. The highlight for me was watching the feeding time. Those gators move fast when food is involved. The place is easy to walk through, and there is plenty of shade so you are not roasting in the Florida sun. The boardwalk over the swamp is very cool. You are literally standing over dozens of big gators just relaxing below you. If you like taking pictures, there are a lot of great spots. It is not very large, so you can see everything in a couple of hours, but I liked that. It is the right size for kids without wearing everyone out. The zipline over the gators looked awesome, although we did not try it this time. Overall, it is a mix of wow that is amazing and whoa that is kind of terrifying in the best way. Definitely worth a stop.

Google
Wonderful experience! We visited on a whim after receiving coupons from our Lighthouse membership, and it was so worth it! Enjoyed seeing many types of alligators and crocodiles, but also many other mammals, birds, and reptiles. We had a great time, and the staff was so friendly!

Yelp
We have family that lives in Jax and also other family that has visited the Jax area and the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. We heard it was worth a visit so we made plans to go when we were going to be in town. So glad we did! We really enjoyed learning all about gators and birds too! Very nice habitats for all the animals and they seemed happy and content. It was nice to be able to walk around at your own pace and attend a show at your leisure. I would definitely come back again on a future visit.

Yelp
Saint Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park - Croctoberfest Event Review I attended the Croctoberfest event at the Saint Augustine Alligator Farm this past weekend, and overall it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the staff were incredibly inviting and welcoming from the moment we arrived. There were plenty of opportunities to sample different tastings from a variety of local food vendors and breweries, which made the event feel like a true celebration of the community. The only downside -- and the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 -- was that many of the vendors ran out of food and drinks within just 30 minutes of the doors opening. Considering that tickets weren't cheap, I had hoped to try everything offered, so it was a bit disappointing not to be able to sample as much as expected. That said, the event itself was still very enjoyable, and you could tell a lot of thought and care went into organizing it. With just a little more planning to ensure enough samples for all guests, Croctoberfest could easily be a five-star experience. I'm already looking forward to next year's event!

Yelp
Is it really a trip to Florida if you didn't see a gator? I think not! Instead of going to every retention pond and trying to find one in the wild, which could be a tad dangerous, I visited the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. Located in Saint Augustine and not too far of a drive from Jacksonville if you are from there or visiting like I was for work. Plenty of alligators, crocodiles, and other creatures here! We definitely were amazed to likely see easily over 50 gators here. Even have a photo opportunity where you can pay to hold a gator! Finally got to hold and head pat one, which was a bucket list item. Definitely recommend if you are like me, and love animals even gators! Surprised there was a lot of shade at this zoo, though still pack those sunshades and sun block! It was very humid and hot as we visited in August, but I see in other months it being very beautiful weather. Definitely return and visit in a better month if I come on a leisure trip versus work trip.

Yelp
This was a neat way to see many types of alligators and crocodiles. The feeding time was really cool and informative. You can see most of the park in a couple of hours. A few of the enclosures seemed too small or in need of updates. Overall our family enjoyed our visit.

Yelp
A great time at the "Night Market " event. Different local vendors came together to help support the Alligator Farm Foundation. It was a fun way to shop for unique gifts and treats. There were even some of the animal exhibits still opened.

Yelp
Surprisingly fun, well-designed, and full of jaw-dropping moments (literally). The St. Augustine Alligator Farm is a historic zoological park that features not just American alligators, but every living species of crocodilian in the world. It's part educational, part thrilling, and unexpectedly charming. We caught a show at the theater and then went to the alligator feeding, which was absolutely the highlight -- watching them leap up out of the water was wild. You could feel the crowd's awe every time one snapped up a snack mid-air. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They answered questions thoroughly and made the experience better. As expected, food is overpriced, but that's the norm for any attraction like this. What stood out was how thoughtful the design of the park is -- for example, there are umbrellas placed strategically in areas with heavy bird activity, which saved us from potential poop disasters. Smart and appreciated. It does get a little smelly in some areas, but honestly, you're surrounded by gators and birds -- it comes with the territory. Totally worth it. Overall, a fantastic and unique day out. Highly recommend for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a fun detour in St. Augustine.

Yelp
Best Mother's Day ever at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm! We visited during Rookery season and saw tons of baby birds--so magical. The zip line was a blast (easy, safe, and gorgeous views thanks to the awesome staff). We even enjoyed an adult beverage while strolling past alligators and exotic birds. Thrills + wildlife + relaxation = the perfect day!

Yelp
We had a blast!! So many cool animals to see and education portions, and the opportunity to hold them too!! Pricey, but the 6yr old loved it!!

Yelp
We loved it! We did go during a pretty hot week. While it was very humid. Any indoor space there was the A/C was sure to be on high, saw a variety of birds, reptiles, alligators and crocodiles! The kids enjoyed it and the shows. Highly recommend

Yelp
A group of five of us visited the Farm on a Saturday morning. Parking was plentiful but did fill up when we were leaving several hours later. Admission is $36 a person, a little steep for me. Once inside, we enjoyed all the exhibits and caught two shows. I appreciated the shady crocodile exhibit areas along with the alligator lagoon. The large swamp area on the opposite side of the Farm was full of gators and many nesting birds. It has a real native Florida feel to it but was baking hot with no shade. We caught a show in the lagoon with fun facts on the two breeds of gators. We also saw the once a week feeding of their large crocodile, Maximo. He was fed a couple of chickens and large rodents. For a large guy, he could move pretty fast and lunge out of the water quite high. We was most everything in two hours and enjoyed our visit.

Yelp
Came to Florida and had to see a gator. This spot was suggested by other yelpers in my community and vouched for by some family so we did. It was super interesting to learn so much about gators and other animals. BE WARNED: It stinks. Lol. I have a sensitive nose and sensory issues, especially with smells. If you share this experience, just be warned that almost every time the wind blows you smell dookie. I wore a mask to overcome this, but don't let that turn you off. This was one of the most fun experiences I had this whole trip. My kids loved seeing the gators being fed and interacted with. They had a chance to ask questions and the staff there were so friendly, knowledgeable and funny. My daughter got a kick out of the feeding of the gators, which happens at 12 and 3 in the swamp. They have lots of little activities for the kids and opportunities to see other types of animals. They have an albino gator and lemurs too. A snake and Dino exhibit accompanied multiple enclosures with crocodiles and different types of birds. They have a little panning station for the mini rock hounders and plenty of photo opportunities. It's not a huge zoo, but just big enough to spend a few hours in. The gift shop isn't super crazy prices and it's close to Buccee's. IYKYK. If you've already done Disney and Universal Studios, this is a great low key family activity with way less walking and waiting, which my kids were grateful for. I highly recommend this. 10/10

Yelp
The first time I have been to this place was in 2015 and loved it. There are so many animals to choose from. This place was once home to the infamous Maximo alligator, who eventually passed away years ago. I tend to go every year, when time permits. I plan on going this year soon.

Yelp
I'd like to preface this review by saying I am absolutely terrified of birds. There are lots of birds here. If you are also afraid of birds this may not be the adventure for you. Taking that into account for the money this is a fantastic activity for adults and children alike. They have so many amazing animals alligators, and crocodiles from all over the world, as well as monkeys, a snake, and as previously mentioned a ton of birds. It was a fun and hilarious day for our family! I really thought I was safe under the umbrellas until I looked up and saw hundreds of giant birds in the trees lol! My kiddo absolutely loved it and I really enjoyed seeing the alligator area and of course had to make a visit to the gift shop! Definitely a must stop if you are in the area!

Yelp
This is a great way to spend a Saturday morning or afternoon. Great views of all the animals and it is so laid out nice you don't feel crowded. Good time and good price to get in. Been around since the late 1800s so you are also seeing a bit of history. Worth going.

Yelp
10/10 absolutely amazing experience! The park is set up nicely and the shows staggered threw out the day so no rushing around. Wonderful collection of alligators & 30 different crocodile species on display as well as a 15 foot salt water croc!!! Also many different other species of reptile as well as a Florida native bird aviary. Highly recommend this place for all ages- kids and adults alike will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Decent zoo. Nice mix of crocodile species but limited content overall. Price to content seems off. Animals seem well cared for. Not a destination but not a bad stop in area.

Yelp
Had a great time! Wish we could have stayed longer! Entry was a bit high but there was so much to see!!

Yelp
We hadn't planned on coming here but all the locals said it was a must and we happen to have gator shirts packed for our boys so it was a sign! This is a local attraction worth seeing for locals and tourist. I will start by saying it is pretty expensive in my opinion (I am used to Gatorland Prices). Kids should be more affordable. With that being said... the place is very immaculate with very well nurtured animals so that goes to show they spend their money well. The property is decent sized but for the price it could be bigger. We were blown away by the variations of alligators. There was so many. I really liked the cafe. The food was fairly priced and the seating was located right by the gopher tortoises. I appreciate the children menu options as well. They offer a few shows and live gator feeding. It is self guided and pretty easy to make your way around. For children they have a dig area with fake dinosaur bones and a mining rock station right next to it (the rock kits cost extra). My son loved both. They also have a cool playground near the birds. I liked the photo ops of fake gators around the park. Overall it was a fun day and we enjoyed ourselves.

Yelp
This place has fun for the whole family in St. Augustine!! I came here for the first time for a private event and was so impressed. This alligator farm is home to reptiles, birds, lemurs, tortoises and much more! My family and I had so much fun exploring the grounds and learning about the many creatures they care for. The private event space is great for any party! Everything was alligator themed and we had the opportunity to engage in special wildlife encounters. For example, we got to scratch the tortoises and pet and feed the alligators. The grounds are also very well kept and clean. The animals appear to be healthy too!

Yelp
Came here on Thursday for a great Spring Break, this place has tons on views of gators, crocodiles and even birds! So many views aswell as zip lining,we got to feed and hold alligators, one of the best places for fun in St Augustine, definitely RECOMMEND!
google avatar

Yelp
The alligator farm is right across the street from the lighthouse. It appears small from the road, but once you get inside you will find that it is well keep and spacious. You can view a variety of alligators, crocodiles and wildlife. Be sure to bring your quarters so you can buy gator food.
google avatar

Yelp
If you want to see numerous alligators and other reptiles up close and personal, this is the spot for you. There is a feeding time, where alligators open their jaws wide so you can see them in action. They also have many typed of birds and a few tropical mammals like sloths and lemurs. They have Maximo, a gigantic Alligator and a zip line for the daring that goes right over the alligators. My only complaint is that we were not able to see the feeing when we went on 11/30 because it was too cold. That is understandable, but there was no communication or general announcement about the cancelation. Everyone was just standing around waiting, and about 15-20 minutes later a work walked by and told us there were no feedings that day.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
A great visit! Most impressive for me was the care they had for the animals. The habitats were well kept, and you can tell they genuinely cared. Awesome to see the feeding and then exploring the park grounds.

Yelp
I have visited St. Augustine many times and I didn't know about this alligator farm. Too bad, but I am glad to find out about it and visit it in January while in the area for the weekend. This place used to be an old side road attraction. Since then it has expended, it is a nice size, a decent little zoo where you can spend at least a couple of hours. The gradens are well organized, all alligators are well represented from each continent. Besides alligators (best selection ever) they have other animals and birds (turtles, phytons, chinchilla, parrots, vulture, iguanas, komodo dragon, macawas, viper, etc). They have daily feedings and shows you can witness but since we went on a cold day, it wasn't much action. Still, we got to see the albino (yes, they got one) being fed mice when we first got inside. They do some zip line packages but the space isn't too wide for that. But you can also tried it, a cousin of ours did and said it was like a boot camp experience. Otherwise, you can stroll the place and enjoy the best selection of alligators (the biggest one, Maximo is the salwater crocodile that is worth the visit) and beautiful birds. Admission is $34 for adults and $19,99 for children. Open daily from 9-5, they stay open till 6 pm during summers. Check their site for the schedule, and a $1 off coupon. Big parkings, plenty of clean restrooms around. You can buy food here also, or bring your own. Nice spaces for the animals, grab your map and discover the wonders of this place. When in Florida... check out an alligator farm!

Yelp
Gators, gators, gators. What I expected to see. Very pleasantly surprised to also see snakes, many various birds, and mammals. Everything was well housed so I did not feel the regrets of unhappy animals. Lots of space and well planned environments. We came at the end of July and I was concerned about heat and sun. There were no worries at 9 AM when they opened. Most of the walkways had tree cover and there were lots buildings with AC. Tolerance for heat might matter on 95 degree day. Great place to bring kids - ours are grown but will bring our grandchildren.
google avatar

Hilary M.

Yelp
Easy to get to location. Parking got full but there is quite a bit. No cost to park. Cost is moderate. $34.00 a person. Discount for senior or kids. Also AAA. Shows inside are included. There are so many varieties of alligators and crocodiles as well as many other species of reptiles and birds. Lemurs as well. Some of the areas were kind of small and looked like they didn't have a lot of room to move around. IMO. It was very interesting to read about each animal and cool to see one of the shows w parrots and a hog nose snake. In my opinion it was worth the cost, the most expensive items were the food.
google avatar

Levi L.

Yelp
Can't be in Florida without seeing the alligators. Fortunately, our alligator sightings have been confined to the Alligator Farm, which is the way we like it. =) They have a ton of exhibits, with knowledgeable staff, as well as a fun kids zone for kids to burn some of that excess energy. They also host holiday specials like on Halloween, where they set up different stops around the park filled with reptiles, a little knowledge, and of course candies.

Amy R.

Yelp
Went there during spring break with my husband and our 5 year old grandson. Parking was good, and we used a coupon and got $5.00 off each ticket. My husband and I were so bored. It's just lot of alligators, laying around in their cramped quarters. I was looking forward to see the feeding of the alligators, but that's all you saw. Like looking out your window and seeing your neighbor feed their dog. No commentary, just watching someone give food to the alligators, like a silent film. Don't know the alligators have names, or what they are being fed, how old the alligator is....nothing! We really wanted to like it, but what a waste of time and money.
google avatar

Becky A.

Yelp
Albino Alligators are super cool, loved the alligator show, and had a nice time seeing the snakes, Komodo dragon, and tortoises.
google avatar

Samanda S.

Yelp
I really loved going here, it's a really fun afternoon thing to do, the only reason I gave 4 stars is because it's $35 per person to get in so for 2 people it's was almost $80 to go walk around and look at alligators.
google avatar

SamKat P.

Yelp
This place is AWESOME!!! TONS of alligators, crocodiles, reptiles, and birds. There's even a rookery of wild roseate spoonbills above one of the alligator enclosures. If you have a zoo membership from another zoo in the united states, make sure you let them know so you can get 50% off your admission. We had so much fun feeding the gators and crocs, (bring quarters!) and watching them slowly make their way toward the food pellets. You could easily spend half a day-a whole day here. Don't miss the gator feedings with the keeper...they go nuts!

Toni W.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our day here at the alligator park! The staff was knowledgeable with each show we watched. Each caged area indicates where the species came from, along with information about them. We will definitely go back, when in the area!
google avatar

DawnMarie R.

Yelp
Really nice zoo, mostly centered on gators and crocs but also lots of birds and a few other animals. There were unite a few roseate spoonbills, we want to go back in spring and see if they are nesting. Totally enjoyed our day Only downside, food and drinks were excessively priced.
google avatar

Alisha H.

Yelp
Wow! Very cool! There are all kinds of crocodiles, alligators, lizards, birds, and snakes- OH my! There is a zip line you can do across the farm. Get to feed alligators so snacks-be sure to have quarters! there are shows through the day, including feeding times. Excellent customer service and a decent gift shop! There is food as well. This was a great experience! Would definitely come here again!
google avatar

Yelp
A great Old School roadside attraction ! So glad it has survived. The exhibits are all well maintained, as are the paths. In addition to gators they have many species of crocodiles and caimans, which are similar toothy reptiles Also some funky appropriate bird exhibits. Good gift shop. This place is not next to the Saint Augustine fort or Flagler hotels, it is maybe 15 minutes away, but it is worth the detour.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Worth every penny! My parents were in town and we decided to take them to Alligator Farm. We didn't know what to expect but this place exceeded all of our expectation. They have so many alligators and i couldn't even keep count- in addition they had other reptiles such as snakes, frogs, turtles and etc along with some exotic birds. They so a really cool feeding there they toss frozen rats to the alligators and watch them try to jump into the air during feeding time. Make sure to ask when feeding time is upon entrance so you don't miss out! They do offer military and senior discounts. If you are active duty military, you can go to base's MWR and get really discounted tickets.

Yelp
Get ready for a wild adventure at the @staugalligatorfarm Up close look at hundreds of alligators, crocodiles, lemurs, komodo dragons, Galapagos turtles, African birds, toucans, and sloths. This is the only place in the world where you can see 24 species of crocodilians in one spot! Some of our favorite things we did with the family: 1. Maximo's feeding show is a must-see! He's a 15-foot-3-inch saltwater crocodile, and it's absolutely incredible to watch him in action. Shows are at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM daily, so make sure not to miss it! 2. Catch a fascinating live snake and reptile show at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM daily. You get to see those amazing creatures up close and even pet them! 3. Feed the young crocodilians with food pellets! 4. Check out the rare and mystical Albino white Alligator Book mark this and save for your next trip to St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park - it's a place like no other! Address: 999 Anastasia Blvd, St. Augustine, FL 32080 Admission: $34.99 for adults; $19.99 for kids ages 3-11; Free on-site parking

Yelp
I cannot recommend this place enough!!! We stopped here first thing when we got to St. Augustine. I booked my tickets months in advance but I also booked the personal sloth experience as well. There is so much to see at the zoo and an endless amount of gators. They also have monkeys and birds, but it's hard not to watch these HUGE gators in their pits. They do feedings at certain times and there's zip lining over the pits. There's food and drinks, as well as alcohol, to buy on site. I had a great time walking around here.

Yelp
I went to school at Flagler and have lived in Jacksonville for a long time now and never visited the Alligator Farm! A friend invited us for a birthday and was pleasantly surprised. Looking at it from the outside it seems not that big. But one your inside it is pretty spacious. Once you walk through the ticket area you are greeted with all kinds of turtles and alligators. It opens up into a larger open area that have alligators on one side and crocodiles on the other. There are birds all around and furry friends too! My one year old was so excited to see the Parrots and gators! We watched the feeding and it was okay because the gators didn't seem too interested at that time. But there is alligator feeding pellot dispensers all around and you can feed them from the docks. It was a lot of fun! So bring your quarters! It is a little pricey but you can get a good deal on Local Flavor sometimes and St. John's residents get a 30% discount! Would recommend for a nice day out.

Emily R.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this place was. We went a little late in the day (around 3) and should've went a bit earlier. We were able to see everything in two hours but we could've spent longer there. Definitely fun to watch them fed the alligators. I was impressed by how many are there! Also, take some quarters along so you can toss food out to the alligators. It's fun watching them feed.

Cal H.

Yelp
I enjoyed the Farm not only for the 'gators but for the stunning variety of birds. The Rookery is fascinating. The pretty Roseate Spoonbills have chicks. The day we were there the parents were feeding them. The babies are big...fledglings at this point. Lots of reptiles, snakes, Alligators and Crocs to see. Educational and Fun for the kids. Personal note: Many Thank you's to staff for your assistance on the day we visited. Very high temps that day and I will always remember your help and kindness to me.

Yelp
Good value for money, nice snack bar, clean restrooms, worth a visit if you're in the area.

Yelp
As my 73-year-old boyfriends mother handed her license to the employee who turned out to be the assistant manager. it slipped across the counter and hit the floor. The employee then picked up her drivers license and threw it back onto the floor across the counter. We asked her if she actually did that she said yes I did because she threw it at me. The employees name was Jolie. If this is how the alligator farm treats, elderly visitors, they should not receive anyone's money.

Yelp
A touch pricey perhaps, but a really great zoo. Tons of different crocodiles and alligators, and lots of other animals as well. Everything is clean and well kept, and the animals have ample space to move around. There is also plenty of viewing space so you'll be able to see the animals well as well. This was a really great experience!

Yelp
This attraction is very well run and clean. The hot dogs are even good. We spent the day there (3 adults) and enjoyed it all. Did a couple up,close extra charge encounters and liked those, too. We'd been there before about 15 years ago. The park is very well kept.

Yelp
Wonderful zoo to visit. Wide collection of alligators and crocodiles from all over the world. There are some snakes to see as well, including an amazing King Cobra. Love the Komodo Dragon! In addition there are tortoises, lemurs, and wide variety of birds. Almost as interesting are the native birds that nest in the trees throughout the park. The gift shop is nicely stocked with appropriate souvenirs. There are a couple of indoor exhibits to visit so pace yourself if it's a hot day and you need a respite. The bathrooms were clean and refreshingly cool. A really nice zoo that is definitely worth visiting for the kids and adults alike! Cool tip: if you hold onto your receipt, you can leave the park and visit again later that same day.

Yelp
The animals are fantastic. The "zoo" is laid out well. But I saw horribly filthy cages and only one person cleaning. Animals no matter the species, if in cages deserve our respect and good care.

Yelp
I went on a 4 day mini vacation to St. Augustine. We planned to go to alligator farm while there. I hadn't been since I was maybe 12 or 13. A LONG time ago, haha! There were so many different types of alligators and crocodiles. I can't believe they still have Maximo!! He was there when I went as a kid! I never realized they could live so long, wow! It was a nice little walk around the park. There wasn't really anything "exciting" for me personally. I feel the tickets are expensive to just look at alligators. The snack bar is definitely over priced. One lady working the snack bar was very rude to my mother, who is a very small and deaf elderly women. My mom simply asked if she could have a straw for her drink. The lady laughs and then yells, "No! Where is your straw? We don't have anymore!" I tried to get the workers name, but she stayed in the back after I told her not to talk to my mother that way. Anyways, I didn't want to ruin the rest of the day, so we walked around some more and then left. In my opinion, tickets are too high to just look at gators laying around. Food is way over priced. I would not come back.
