First time staying in a hostel and had the best experience ever!! The rooms were spacious, clean and cold and so were the showers and bathrooms. The beds were also very comfortable. The best part was the reception staff! Flor really helped me every time I needed something and beyond, always with a smile on her face! The bar was also great and you get discounts! Will definitely be back!

I had a fantastic stay at this place! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home. Kristina, who works at the reception, was absolutely amazing. She was so kind and really went out of her way to help me with everything I needed. She gave great suggestions on things to do around the area. If you’re looking for great service and a friendly atmosphere, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Great location, it’s right at the centre and walkable to all the best stops. Or a quick bus ride or metro ride away. The rooms are quite comfortable and all felt safe. Some of the provisions were actually quite luxurious for a hostel- like the washrooms, the bathrooms , the kitchenette and laundry room, and the locker + mess area is so nice, if you’re waiting for your room to be available, you can just peacefully wait here. Their locker prices are super reasonable for the guests here at 3-4 Euro for 3 hours or 6 hours. Lots of storage available as well. Things to note- bring your own towel, toiletries and lock and key for your room locker. The hostel also provides a welcome drink if you book directly from the website, it if not, there’s free sangria after 8 pm everyday! Along with some other fun activities like wine and cheese tasting, margarita workshops and other interesting things I didn’t try out. The staff are helpful as well, my flight was much after my checkout time and they gave me a key card valid till the evening to keep my things in the locker. (Thanks, I appreciate that!) Overall great experience for a solo female traveller who stayed in a mixed dorm.

Daniela is the BEST! La MEJOR de todos ! è migliore di tutti.! She was very nice, help is to feel included, and help me to meet new ppl and make new friends from the hostel. She is very fun and create a very good space for us to share and chat between each others. Super recomend this place

Jazz was really sweet and great! Such a cool girl definitely helpful! She gave us all her tips and routes since our trip had to be cancelled but she was lovely and more than willing to give us a good experience

This hostel has been absolutely fantastic and great vibes from the other travellers and staff! Reception has been super helpful and fun, especially Kristina, Kelly and Laura, they’re awesome. The rooms are pretty good, kitted out with all the amenities you’d need at a hostel, where you can rest up and get ready for a major night! Highly recommend to anyone looking at staying here

Google
Stella was the best, helped us the second time after someone messed up the check in. She really gave us the help we needed. Kristina and Brenda guided us though the whole process so the reception is one of the points that really stand out with the hostel! Really amazing with the rooms! Adrian really was nice to us when we needed help and showed us how the hostel worked! Really good hostel

Disappointing Stay Despite Great Location The location is excellent. Very central and well-connected. Unfortunately, that was the only real highlight of my stay. Only one elevator was working, and it often took up to 20 minutes to get anywhere. Absolutely unacceptable. The room had a small French balcony. That’s charming. The atmosphere was equally disappointing: no workspace, no lobby or lounge area to relax in, no effort from the reception staff to provide information or create a welcoming vibe. The prices are outrageous for what’s being offered. Yes, I had a roof over my head in a great location but that’s about it.

Yelp
Great location! Airport bus is across the street and plaza. Shared facilities could get messy but I deal with it. Near a lot of tourist attractions and a lot of day tours start nearby as well. Area is always busy with people, so I always felt safe even at night. There is a market next door, an amazing burger place a block away, and good shopping from Zara and Primark! Staff are really attentive with keeping outsiders away from the living quarters and keeping alcohol within the bar. Second time staying here!

Yelp
I'll save the biggest problem for last, but my sole goal of coming to this place was to get at least some sleep after a midnight flight getting me to St Christopher's Inn at 3:30AM, and there were obstacles. The guy at the desk told me check-out is at 8AM, which cost me sleep time fact-checking his telling me that I'd only get about four hours sleep (actually, check-out is at 11 like everywhere else, but this foreshadows that the front desk is inexperienced and unreliable). The room smelled like feet, such that I slept breathing through a face mask. There was a constant hum, such that I had to sleep with ear plugs. There are four bunks connected, and when one person shifts, they all rock together, and I had bad luck with somebody on the other side of the partition who was not finding the right position. (Of course, she had to contend with people like me who show up at 3AM, who try to be quiet as possible but still have to haul themselves into bed.) This is by no means my first hostel, I know what to expect, but this one rated badly on the things that matter for sleep, like ventilation, noise, and bed quality. The biggest problem, though, was that my reservation wasn't marked for the right night. I'd requested that it be changed months ago, and was vigorously assured then that the change was made, but it got lost in the system. The guy who checked me in late at night was peevish about having to rebook me (cutting into my sleep time), and the manager I spoke to about it during the day, "Kelly", well, I just feel bad for her. In our extensive discussion of the long paper trail I showed her, it came out that (1) all conversations with front desk staff (including via web chat) are not deemed reliable, (2) there is a bot that pre-routes messages and sometimes marks them as cleared without passing them on to a human, and (3) I won't get a refund for their failure to correct the reservation three months earlier because the paper trail I'd shown her repeatedly refers to the corrected date, but is not complete to her satisfaction, due to known problems #1 and #2. I can tell that every day Kelly has to explain to somebody whose reservation is borked that the system is flawed and everybody knows it, but her job is to strictly enforce the terms and conditions of her employer. It has to be a hard job that wears on her soul. The best way you can help Kelly is to not deal with the reservation system at all and book somewhere else.

Yelp
Location itself gets 5 stars for sure. Overall, I'm between 2 and 3 stars. It's a pretty cookie-cutter chain hostel that offers a lot of only-fine things. While there was nothing totally awful about my stay, I just generally found the experience less than comfortable, a little overpriced, and wished that I'd stayed somewhere a little cooler. Rooms are fine and curtains are nice to have on the beds. One con is that the lights are automatic, so every time someone came in or out of my 8-person room (and this happened all night), the light would come on and wake me. Beds are comfortable, but the metal frames are creaky and I could feel the bed shake every time the girl below or in the other bunk attached made the slightest movement. Although it was only 40 degrees outside, the room (and the common room on the 1st floor) was super hot and stuffy. It's not possible to open the windows (??) and in fact they've removed the handles -- when I asked staff if we could air out the room, they said that they could have housekeeping open the window for about 15 minutes later that day. No problems with loudness from partying despite fun events in the bar, but the hallways/courtyard are very echoey and sound carries from people even on other floors. It was generally hard to get any sleep. As another reviewer mentioned, there's also a strong sulfur-like smell, especially in and around the elevators on each floor. The place is generally clean otherwise, except the 1st floor lounge, which has pretty nasty seat cushions and outlets that didn't seem to work. Paid lockers only if you're trying to do early or late check out, which is a big con for me.

Yelp
Hostel is cleaned often but houses dirty travelers who piss and have sex in the showers so make sure to wear sandals. Hallways smell like cigarettes at night and are often loud. I didn't mind my roommates chatting till 5am but that might not be the experience you're looking for. Generally there are a lot of inconsiderate people so if you can't handle some vile shit going down around you I suggest you look else where. In our room We had a group of 30 year old men from Wales attending a wedding/Bach party who immediately barged in drunk as hell and started flashing their bare buns to each other and legit fingering each others booty holes as jokes. It was such a terrible experience that I instantly ran out and starting looking for hotels to book. There were none available but luckily we were able to change rooms in the hostel. Our new roommates were great and our foul experience with the welch guys was a good joke through out the trip. The staff was great and our tour guide from the hostel was amazing as well. All except one dude who was such a try hard acting like he was protecting the Korean border or something. Overall if you don't mind risking your vacation/sanity to chance and can handle wild stuff happening around you this place may be worth the price.

Yelp
I stayed here on the recommendation of a friend and it was incredibly average. The security here is great, as you have to use your key to access both the elevator, the doors to your floor, and then you your room. If you don't live on a floor, you can't go into the hallways there. The rooms were fine. It was pretty cheap, but you get what you pay for. My biggest qualm is that the lights turn on whenever someone opens the door all the way, so being one of the first people to go to sleep can lead to a broken up night of sleep. The building smells weird which threw me off. It smells almost like someone left standing water somewhere and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the cause. The cleaning staff were pretty lackluster (I saw one just spray our door once then leave without doing anything more), so it's probably not the cleanest place.

Yelp
I loved this hostel! It was my first stay at one but this was a great way to start. It is in a great location and everyone was so nice from the staff to the people staying there. The staff even helped me when I needed some emergency documents printed. Went on tours with them too and those really added on to my overall trip. And the deals you get from the bar next door are amazing. Barcelona can be a bit expensive so those discounts were so nice to start with for a night of drinking. The common areas can get a bit messy but what else can you expect when so many people are residing in one place. Things get cleaned up very quickly though. My stay was with the COVID restrictions in place so the 16 person room only had 8 people staying in it and my stay was only for a short duration of 3 nights. So this is something to be kept in mind. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
The best parts of the this place were the room itself, the location, and the breakfast. Staff was quite helpful as well. The main reason for the poor review is the common area (1st floor) and the shared bathroom facilities. I stayed in a 8-bed female dorm. All but 1 bed was taken. The beds are hard, but clean and towels/sheets are provided, along with a privacy (black-out) curtain, individual plug & lamp, and LARGE lockable cage under bed. Once the door closed, it was fairly good at keeping the noise out, although even being on the 4th floor, there was some street noise. Temperature was ok until closing the privacy curtain created a little personal oven in there. The common areas, especially the female bathroom, was unpleasant. And the entire hallway smelled of a combination of toilet water and mildew/humidity. There were 4 very very small stalls, and two sinks, with zero counter space. Which meant if you had ANY toiletries (brush teeth, put on face product) it was best to use the shower room, which was unbearably humid as you can imagine. The showers themselves had good pressure (there was about 5 stalls) and temperature range, with a little shelf and hooks to hang your items on. The only common area (on the 1st floor) was full of dingy-looking cushions and couches, and not good access to plugs if you just wanted to get out of your room and use your computer, for example. It was also quite warm in there. The outdoor/patio space for the restaurant downstairs/attached, was fantastic though. And breakfast had a pretty good selection, considering it was included.

Yelp
We stayed here for 5 days. It is conveniently located to a lot of Barcelona attractions. La Rambla is a few blocks over. Close to the Gothic quarter. The metro and bus are also close by. The bathrooms and rooms were clean. The desk clerks were helpful. Great price.

Yelp
This was my first hostal experience since college and I have to admit I was a little nervous about sharing a room with 11 other girls while toting around a suitcase, but this place put my nerves. The under bed storage is HUGE! I was able to fit my giant rolling duffle suitcase and all the shopping I did there from the sales on Las Ramblas easily. Mind 100% at ease. Everyone was so wonderful. Staff was 7 out of a 10 on the helpfulness scale in the late evenings, around 9 out of 10 in the mornings. Maybe pump the night staff with some more coffee eh? My pod bunk was comfortable, clean and fit the bill for what I was looking for! Bathrooms were very clean too! Everyone I met during the 2 eurocup games I watched here were so nice! I definitely suggest staying HERE!

Yelp
My feelings about this place, and staying in hostels in general, are 50/50. This was the first time I just couldn't resist to pick a hostel instead of a hotel after I saw the price difference between the two. But don't get too excited, it's cheaper but not that cheap- my 3 night stay at the end of august was about $140. I picked the 8 female dorm and it was still pretty awkward. All the girls were nice, and we exchanged 'hellos' and smiles, but it's just so uncomfortable to climb up your cot and try to get ready and leave the room to use the bathroom outside. I kept forgetting some items and making extra trips and ended up doing my make up on my cot. Don't even think you will get a good night sleep. People get back to the room at all times during the night. The light turns on, the doors get shut, the metal bed squeaks loudly. Earplugs and eye mask are a must to have with you! And on the contrary to what everyone says here: my mattress was super uncomfortable! It had a crevice molded from many bodies who slept there, just in the middle of the bed, so you would sort of just fall into it and had to stay in it for the night. To the management: please switch out the mattress in room 510 on bed 5! Despite all the inconveniences, the hostel is still the best way to travel for singles with no friends in town. Because the discomforts of the room, I was out even more and you have so many opportunities to socialize and meet fellow travelers. They have really good parties downstairs and people from the hostel approach you about going to additional clubs, events, etc. I would probably pick the bottom bed this time around, but because of the excellent location and good vibes I would stay here again in heart beat.

Yelp
THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! I will NEVER stay at another hostel again thanks to this place. One of the girls in my room brought some random female back to the room to have sex! I was somewhat satisfied with how the front desk handled the situation after I reported them. However, after kicking them both out of the hostel at 2:30am, the cleaning lady came into the room to strip the bed at 3:15am. She came in making as much noise as possible as if she was upset about having to do it (understandable) but, why couldn't that wait until later in the morning?! Then she left the room after she was done and did not turn the light out. It's 3:30 and I have been up for almost 3 hours due to this whole ordeal. Unacceptable. Terrible.

Yelp
This is a chain, hostels all over the place always associated with a Belushi's restaurant. If you are staying here, go directly to the St. Christopher's website to book and check their Facebook page first to see if there is a discount code. Book only a couple of days because when your reservation is up, they send you an email to see if you want a few more days and they usually give you a generous discount to re-up. If you book directly on their website you will get the breakfast thrown in for free, otherwise it is 4 euros. The quality of your stay is going to vary wildly depending on the type of room you book. I originally booked a larger shared room but was bumped to a room with less beds for the same price (thank you, Jessica at the front desk!). I have been satisfied with this hostel but I have encountered some people who have had really bad experiences and usually it is because they are in the 12 bed mixed dorm and there are all kinds of weird things going on in those rooms-- avoid if you can. With a room card, the bar has a beer that is only 3 euros, 25% off the Belushi's menu also, but why eat there when Barcelona is full out outstanding Tapas restaurants? The location is pretty great for most of your basic tourist-y stuff. The hop on/hop off bus starts close by and the Gothic area is close, great shopping and restaurants. Barcelona is a great walking city so there is plenty to keep you busy right in the immediate neighborhood. This hostel is 5 stories, yet they only have one washer/dryer unit for the entire hostel. That is quite absurd for a hostel this size. The lounge area is also kind of bleak and I think only 3 outlets to charge any computers or phones. The rooms have been clean and the room I stayed in even had a tiny balcony with a very large glass door. I would stay here again and would recommend it if you are looking for a good location close to public transportation and shopping. I also met quite a few people here and was able to go out at night with a group, which was nice since I travel solo and don't always feel comfortable doing things at night in unfamiliar cities. Oh, that reminds me-- everyone will warn you to be aware of pickpockets! There are signs posted in restaurants, in the train station, at the hostel. Consider yourself warned.

Yelp
Upon arrival, we were charged more than what we were told in an email sent to us a few days prior. The front desk staff were not clear about the additional fee for a night we weren't even staying (which was very expensive). I had a lot of laundry to do and found out that there was only one washing machine. This is unacceptable for a hostel accomodating so many people. It was always in use and the repetitionist couldn't even tell me where the closest laundromat was. The bathrooms were ridiculously hot with no ventilation and there was dirt and hair in the showers. They changed my mattress half way through my stay and it felt like I was sleeping on a brick. This is the only hostel I've stayed in that charges extra for breakfast. I tried to write the same review on Facebook but it disappeared as soon as I posted it... good location. Cheers guys

Yelp
We spent two very happy nights here in a private twin room. The staff are super helpful and friendly and they offer free tours of the city every day, pick-up at 10am from reception. Well worth it. Loved the crazy artwork on our walls, our comfy bed and the giant glass doors onto our own balcony. The free continental breakfast was great. I expect you'd get sick of eating exactly the same thing for a week, but for a couple of nights stay it was perfect. Tea, coffee, juices, couple varieties of melon, baguette, honey, jams, cheese, sliced meats. Cereal too, but not recommended - substandard cocopops and muesli if you're desperate for a bowl. Since it's a hostel, I brought my earplugs for the late night noise, but actually our room was blissfully quiet. The private rooms and female forms are right up on the 6th floor and nothing seems to travel that high. There's an adjoining bar, where breakfast is served, and there seem to be plenty of food/drink offers and themed nights. We didn't partake, but it sounded pretty lively if you're up for a boozy night. There are two common rooms, both nice and comfortable with plenty of seating. The 6th floor room is a quiet oasis with a barely touched TV, while the 1st floor is a little more sociable, and also has a kitchen, laundry room and lockers big enough for even a giant backpack. What more could you want?! My only complaint about our room is that the shower is one of those push button hobbies, and only runs 10 seconds max. Bit annoying but I could live with it. Also the cold water from the basin came out at such a dribble it was barely noticeable, and the 6th floor common area didn't have a sink at all, so getting drinking water on a hot Barcelona day was a pain. But otherwise, this place is great. Highly recommended! :)

Yelp
The worst hostel I've ever stayed in. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. I came here on a school trip in January 2019. My group rented out one of the large all-female rooms (10 of us total in there) and two private ones. First, one of my friends found stains on the white sheets. We don't know what they were but there were obvious dark stains. Another friend found a dried up sheet mask on the other side of her pillow. The rest of the room was just generally dirty. Showers rarely work and spray water everywhere when they do. We also had a few sick girls in our group, so they stayed behind at the hostel during the day to sleep. We repeatedly asked the cleaning crew not to enter our room so as to let those girls rest. Not only did they come into the room, they closed and locked the balcony door that we intentionally left open. When we asked again for the girls not to be disturbed, they seemingly ignored us and the same thing happened multiple times after. While it's cheap, I don't recommend going to this hostel. There are better ones around.

Yelp
The worst hostel I've ever stayed I booked a bed for 2 nights. At the moment I did my check in, i was notified that I should change my room because they had some problems with the capacity and a big group was coming (and they reserved the entire room). Ok, i agreed, things like that could happen, even if it was not my fault. So, the second notification: I am supposed to get out at 11am and come back only at 2pm. That's the weirdest and disrespectful thing i've ever seen. So, if i go out at night i would not be able to have a good sleep? Why wouldn't they prepare a room at 11am, so I could continue to sleep? To apologize, they offered me "free breakfast" for ONE night. The breakfast is terrible. You pay 4€ for a poor variety (some cheese, bread, egg and a juice). You can have a better breakfast just walking few meters away and paying less. The restrooms are dirty. Very dirty actually. Also, They provided me a card to get to the room. The doors didn't open. I went back to the reception 5 or 6 times (not kidding), and they just said "try again" instead of changing the card. The location is very good, the room is ok/good for the price. But that's all. The staff is terrible. I would recommend to stay there only to my enemies. I stayed in the same hostel in Paris, but the quality is infinitely better.

Yelp
I effin love love LOVE LOVE St Christopher's Inn. I discovered them on my solo trip to Paris and since then (as sad, or amazing, as this sounds) I've been planning my European spring break trips around them. And, out of all of them, I have to say that the Barcelona location is my absolute favorite, by far. Where to start..... hmmm... 1. The Staff. They are the nicest, friendliest, most accommodating, and informational group of people you'll ever meet. From the front-desk peeps to the bartenders, they were the main reason why my trip there was amazing! First, I got there a little bit too early so I chilled at the bar since it was hours before I was able to check in. Around 45-50 minutes before the actual check-in time, I migrated to the front desk area where the girl at the front-desk not only recognized me but inquired about my bed to see if it was cleaned. It was and she checked me in EARLY without me asking for it! Second, the bartenders are the most amazing group of people you're ever going to meet. From Jenni (who, by the way, is absolutely gorgeous) to Gustav (if you beat him at table tennis/ping pong, you win a bucket of beer, but nobody has so far), they will welcome you to Barcelona and befriend you until you no longer have any desire to leave. Third, THE FREAKIN LOCATION! It's next to the Plaza Catalunya. It's not "a stone's throw" from the plaza, it's next to it. Um... I think that's all I really need to say about this place. Plus, there's a Starbucks right across from it, but I never had time to visit it. Fourth, the layout of the hostel + bar. They managed to build it so that it's really fun in the bar area (especially once the sun begins to set). I've met a handful of wonderful travelers/backpackers at Belushi's. The staff are used to people playing beer pong there (at least I would assume so since I played it almost every night there) and there's always a promoter or two hanging out at the bar if you want tickets to Razz. Fifth, the free tour. I don't know if it's the hostel itself doing it or they purposely only operate in cities that offer it, but take advantage of the free tour! It definitely does help you become more familiar with the sights of the city (which is good for me because I have no sense of direction). Sixth, the cost. You get your own private bunk bed (complete with curtains, light, and outlet) and it's ridiculously cheap. Maybe a little more expensive than some other hostels, but it's still ridiculously cheap. Plus, it's clean. But, at this point, I don't care about the price... even if they raised it, I would probably still book beds here and not at other hostels. Seventh, FREE BREAKFAST. Yes, the words that every penny-pinching broke college student backpacker wants to hear. ... there's probably more, but I feel as though my reviews getting too long already... Now, some notes: 1. BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL. I know that they say that they offer you a complimentary towel (girls) but, when I went, we had to leave a 10 euro towel deposit to use one of theirs. Thankfully, I brought my own and didn't have to rent one, but it's something to keep in mind when you go. 2. GIRLS, BOOK THE GIRLS ROOM! I heard soooooooo many horror stories from girls who were staying at the coed rooms (mainly about the hygiene practices of guys) AND THE GIRLS FLOOR IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE COED ROOM. - it's cheaper - we've got a private "lounge" with sofa, a table, chairs, and a kitchenette.

Yelp
If there was a 3.5 stars I would rate it as such. In the mean time, I am stuck with 4 stars. The reason why because my hostel expectation just went up after my Madrid hostel that I stayed at. St. Christopher's Inn now has an automatic check in that you can do online. You just gotta read your email and follow the directions they've sent. Also you need an ATM/Debit or Credit Card to make the pymt with. Also, if you are waiting for that 2 pm check in time to come in, on the 1st level they can give you a pass and just hang out there. They also have lockers where you can put your stuff for a FEE and the minimum amount of time I think is for 4 hours and the charge is atleast 5 Euros and up. I stayed at a 8 bunkbed girls room on the 5th floor. The room has a little lounge area where you can do your make up or just look outside the window. It also faces the couryart of the other people's backyard. The lockers are underneath the bed and it is HUGE enough to fit in the largest size of suitcase you can imagine or a big travel pack. If your sleeping on the bottom bunk bed and a light sleeper, it would be better for you to sleep on the top bunk. You will feel and hear the rolling locker underneath you if you're not drunk or tired. Also, be aware of who's stuff is who's. Some of the ladies that might've been their prior and had left might not have thrown their stuff away. It just litters in the room and the cleaning lady won't even notice it. The breaksfast is ok but the bread they serve is soooo tiny. It's like little baguettes cut into smaller pieces and their cheese is "different". Not sure if it's soy based but definitely not upto par for American Standard. Vegetarians might like it. If their hot water pout is still broken from the coffee machine, just ask one of the girls that works their to get you some water. I had to find out the hard way and finally got my tea on my last day. The bathrooms are ok but the shower stalls are a different matter. I noticed that they don't clean the shower stalls well. They have little mildew build ups on the back of the shower stalls so try not to leave your soap or shampoo stuff on the floor by that area. We noticed that during mid day around 1 pm- 3pm, the hot water takes a really long time to get to our floor. One of my mates had to have a super cold shower after she just checked in. At night, the women's shower stall sink areas are a mess and super dirty. Too many women washing their face and not wiping the sinks down or shaving and leaving gross hair! YUCK! Also, there is a lack of paper towels at this hostel including their breakroom area on the 1st level. Overall, it's a decent place to stay at. If ever you have an issue with your roommates being too loud at night or your roommates are too messy, you can always ask to switch rooms. The front desk people will tell off the other "bad" roommates too.

Yelp
This hostel is in a great location an the facilities are clean and well kept. However the front desk staff is rude, uninterested and unhelpful. Wifi throughout the hostel is spotty at best and the computers don't have functional keyboards.

Yelp
Of all the hostels that I've stayed in in Europe, this one was, by far, my absolute favorite. The location is unparalleled. It's right next to Plaza de Catalunya so you are smack dab in the heart of the city. The bus from the airport drops you a five minute walk away! I suggest finding a landmark to orient yourself, though. Navigating yourself around the plaza could be kind of confusing because the street signs aren't as apparent as in America. It was incredibly CHEAP, so it's perfect for anyone on a right budget. I paid about 17 Euros a night for an all-girls 12 bed bedroom. They provide you with a clean towel (thank god!), but not with shampoo/conditioner which was expected. The bunk beds were extremely comfortable, and you have a curtain that you can pull shut for some privacy. There's an outlet and a light right next to your bed, too. Your locker is right underneath your bed, so bring a lock to lock all of your stuff in. There's a bar downstairs with super cheap drinks, so I suggest pre-gaming here if you're planning on going out at night. I loved the female bartenders (I'm sad I forgot their names, but they were fun to talk to). This place gets pretty poppin' around 12-2am. Their complimentary continental breakfast is pretty standard: bread, jam, cheese, ham, cereal, oranges, and coffee, but hey. It's FREE! And, as a cherry on top, they offer free walking tours every single day, so catch them at 10:30am. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this hostel. It definitely set a high standard for my future hostel stays.

Yelp
Hands down, most amazing hostel that I've ever stayed in.. ever. Why I rave about this place: --AMAZING LOCATION. Right by Plaza Catalunya, you are right in the center of Barcelona, right where the "old" part and the "new" part meet. You are close to the public buses that take you straight to the airport. Close to all the Inditex (Zara, Pull & Bear, Bershka, Oysho, Stradivarius) shopping you can ever dream of (because it's cheaper in Spain!). Close to the metro. And the list goes on. The location cannot be beat. --PRICE. We paid 10 euros a night... enough said. --GREAT FACILITIES. Looks modern, with lots of art on the wall. VERY clean. The whole building is extremely well maintained and nice. Everything is magnetically locked so you have to have a room key to enter floors and use the elevator. --COMFORTABLE BEDS. Curtains in front of every bed for privacy. Small lamps for every bed so you can do things without bothering the rest of your room. And the most comfortable comforter/pillow, against any standard, not just comparing to other hostels. --FUN BAR/RESTAURANT. Belushi's is the bar/restaurant downstairs with good deals for hostel stayers on drinks and food. --HELPFUL STAFF. Front desk people are really nice. When we accidentally booked our stay a night later than our arrival, the front desk guy was so extremely helpful to us. They all have really fun personalities! --ACTIVITIES. We didn't take a part in these but there are free walking tours all the time, amongst countless other things to do. I have absolutely zero complaints. THIS IS THE BEST!

Yelp
What a modern, central hostel to be in! You're close to Rambla street and the beautiful gothic quarter of the city and Raval. Room is clean, ladies lavatory is"usually" in good condition but I also blame people for not leaving it clean. What makes this place special is not the facilities because it's an average hostel. It is the soul that it has. There are always people at the bar and the people work at the bar are amazing. Especially Raki! The tables outside is an amazing idea. The bar closes at 2 I guess? I can't remember the exact time but after that you can't find nobody in this hostel. I think the common room is not people's first choice. I've been in this hostel twice and after 2 o'clock we always left the place and go somewhere else. Rooms have ac and it was always cold which is amazing because Barcelona is an oven in June and July. At the reception there are so many cool people and they have this map made by locals. It has more than enough tips about the city and the places you would like to go. I rented a bike for 4 hours, they have bikes. It's always a plus if they have bikes for rent. I took some people that I met outside to our hostel's bar and they were saying how cool that place was. They were staying in different hostels. That's why I would never stay anywhere but St. Christopher's.

Yelp
The social atmosphere at this hostel is really great. As a solo traveler I had no issues making friends. There is free sangria for all guests every night and it was a great way to meet people. I loved the under bed storage. It was very roomy and kept my belongings, and others, nice and tidy. The curtains around the beds were also very nice. My main issue is the noise. The rooms aren't well insulated from the common rooms and the rooms themselves were extremely echo-y. If you're a light sleeper, I recommend ear plugs, headphones, a single room, or staying at another hostel altogether.

Yelp
I'm so happy with my stay here, awesome staff, really cheap, quiet private beds, free breakfast, couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on my first night in Barcelona.
