St Christopher's Inn London Bridge - The Village

Positives: Supermarkets are located just next door. Lots of attractions in walking distance. Also only 5 min walk to Northern Line. Other than that the hostel is quite clean and smells pleasantly. Negatives: Ventilation the rooms: horrible. Unbearably hot at night even in winter. No way of opening a window. They are locked. Noise: very high. Basically impossible to get good sleep. Doors close loudly, moving in bed is noisy, ... Staff: was mostly ok besides the night shift. Really rude. Check-in information: non existent. Prepare to ask for all info yourself. Also, to force to download an app in order to unlock doors after a wait time of 20 seconds was really unnecessary. Noticed later that you could just enter a number code which was way more efficient. Amenities: no kitchen. That's known beforehand to be fair. Unfortunately not even a little fridge to store some snacks. Also no real area to relax. Besides a really cramped, uncomfortable and cold "chill area". Conclusion: Would rather stay somewhere else unless you specifically want to visit the surrounding attrations for a day and prefer close distance.

I stayed overnight in a capsule. All the windows are open in the middle of December. The main toilets in this space are locked. Americans brought in stinky hot food at night time and worst of all there's club music blaring. Its currently 12.30am and you can't sleep with it playing because it's so loud with a tonne of bass, even with earplugs. Absolutely outrageous. If this is meant to be a dosshole for delinquents fair enough but for £60 a night? I don't think so.

Good location, I really enjoyed staying in a 'capsule' for the first time on my own. Despite the night activities, the room and pod itself were relatively well insulated, and I could easily catch some shut-eye. Another perk was the lack of light with the closing of the blinds, which, for anyone sensitive to light, can be a huge benefit.

Had a wonderful stay! It was my first visit to London but was not a very well-planned trip so I was a bit unsure of how to navigate the city. However, Ella was incredibly helpful, giving me great tips on local attraction centers and the best transportation routes. Convenient location made exploring so much easier. The hospitality was top-notch. Highly recommended for anyone's first trip to the city!

I recently visited this hotel on 20th February 2026 around 7 PM, and unfortunately my experience at reception was very disappointing. The three receptionists on duty did not demonstrate the level of professionalism expected in a hotel environment. They appeared more focused on their mobile phones and personal conversations rather than assisting guests. There was little acknowledgment of guests standing in front of them, and no sense of urgency or willingness to help. As front desk staff, receptionists represent the first impression of a hotel. Professional communication, attentiveness, and basic courtesy are essential in this role. Sadly, none of that was visible during my visit. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures proper training and accountability, as customer service at reception plays a major role in the overall guest experience.😔😔😔

I do not recommend choosing this hostel for a group or class trip. The hostel itself is a health risk and a borderline violation for human dignity and unless you are extremely desperate, in no way should this hostel be considered , the price is dirt cheap, and it’s in the city centre. but the living conditions here are absolutely intolerable due to the staffs and underlying issues. Rooms and bathrooms lack ventilation which causes mould growth. This posed a heavy health threat towards the guests. The hostel has addressed the problem and decided that the room is inhabitable. Despite that, they are unable to provide an extra accommodation for the affected guests. The affected guest are required to sleep with each other on the same bed in other occupied rooms with mixed genders. This is morally unacceptable for a solution. The room was cleaned for the next day with chlorine, but as the room lacked a window and the ventilation fan is faulty, the concentration of chlorine gas exceeded the safe amount, the mould was also not completely removed. Additional issues included hidden charging fees, unclean toilet facilities, a lack of enforcement on rules, poor sound isolation and a general lack of ventilation In the end it is one’s own decision to decide whether or not a questionable living environment is worth the 10 pounds that one can save. I once again heavily recommend thinking twice before choosing this hostel.

Had a really great stay at this hostel. Holly on reception was super nice and gave us heaps of recs for around the city - she sent us this long list of everything she’d recommend doing in a short trip and it was perfect for us for our first time in London. The bar was also a great time. There are lots of fun Aussies working there. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for a couple of nights during the weekdays for a gig earlier this month. Ella was amazing in sorting me out with a suitable room after I checked in late at night. The six-bed room I've been put in was fine, nothing to shout about really. Not a lot of showers or toilets outside the room but you can use other facilities on the same/other floors, which I didn't know at first. Bed had curtains which is an essential in my opinion. It was a tiny bit noisy since the room was facing the main road but if you're staying at hostels you would bring earplugs anyway. Minor areas of improvement: - Swap the bed lights to warmer lights rather than the harsh cool white LEDs - Add more hooks in showers - Have an option to get a fob rather than having to rely on phone apps Didn't really explore the place or facilities much but the location is brilliant.
