Just a vast, impressive building - currently undergoing internal renovation at the chancel end. We didn't have time to pay an extra 1€ to view the renovation exhibition.

One of the best churches I've visited in Germany. Only 10 minutes of walking distance from Marburg Rail station. Inside of the church is also nicely decorated. There was a souvenir shop inside the church. The wall of the church is nicely decorated. It's a must visit sightseeing if you are in Marburg.

The first thing that catches your eye on the way from the train station to the old town is the Elisabethkirche (Church of St. Elizabeth), considered the oldest Gothic church in Germany. It resembles the Cologne Cathedral, but of course has smaller proportions. The church was built on the grave of Elisabeth of Hungary. It is a prety nice church, a must view if you are in Marburg!

A beautiful place that must be seen if you visit Marburg. The grandeur of the place is outstanding and the air it has is mystical. It is a must see.

All of the surrounding area is full with 18th century buildings and reteined the old architecture as it is. Go to any open are restaurant and enjoy the view.
