Stayed here for our 5 year anniversary. It was incredible to spend the night at the oldest inn in Florida! It sits within the oldest neighborhood in the city, full of gorgeous streets, old trees and beautiful architecture from the 1700s. They offered complementary drinks and dessert the night we arrived, and the next morning we enjoyed the daily rotating menu of breakfast items that were hot and delicious. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The room was clean, neat and full of anything you may need during your stay. Thank y'all for the hospitality!!

Wow what an awesome stay right in the heart of St. Augustine! Amazing value as well! Included tickets to the St. Augustine lighthouse with stay and they allowed us to pick them up before we were able to check in to bide some time! The food was excellent and so were the drinks and snacks that were provided! Overall an amazing stay with incredible staff and a great and amazing experience. We stayed in the Margaret room but there are some many other rooms available as well and all have a unique setup! I have since recommended this place and stay to no less than 10 people. I will be sure to visit them again in the future!!! 10/10

My whole family loved the Inn, including the eight year old! Things I liked most about St. Francis Inn: The hardworking and warm staff The quaint charm and historical significance -the main building is well over 200 years old and quite well preserved. The location-walkable to just about anything in the historic district. Very comfortable beds The peace and quiet-sitting in the rocking chairs on the balcony or in the lovely garden you felt far from the hustle of downtown. The price-the inn is a good value considering all the extras they include. What I wish could be different (but too minor to lower my rating): No individual temperature controls in my room (although some rooms do have it.) Carpeted rooms rather than more washable surfaces (but given the building's age I understand it.) Thank you for a memorable stay. We will definitely return!

I am so glad to have chosen St Francis inn for my stay last weekend. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and I was looking for something affordable, clean, historic, and not directly in the hustle and bustle of downtown but also close enough to walk. St Francis Inn checked ALL of my boxes! We stayed in the Dummett room, the room and the inn has so much personality it was amazing!! Everyone is so nice, the complimentary breakfast every morning is delicious and I love that it changes daily! Also love that the parking is across the street, and it’s well lit too! I have absolutely no complaints and I’m already planning on staying here again on our next St. Augustine trip!

I absolutely LOVE this Inn! If you’re looking for a modern day hotel, this isn’t it. This place is SO much better! You’ll get an actual key to your room. Not a magnetic card. The amazing people who work there are SO kind and accommodating! The rooms are so beautiful and well kept! It’s only a short walking distance of downtown historic St. Augustine. They have their own parking lot, so no worries on driving every where! Their breakfast and social hour makes it so worth it. (Free food and adult beverages!) Also, If you’re into the spooky stuff, it’s known to be haunted! My husband and I LOVE it here! And we stay as many times as we can!!!

Nice and quiet area. Just far enough out of the hustle and bustle of the downtown tourist area. We stayed in the Garden Hideaway room. Had a nice seating area to ourselves downstairs . Our room was nice. Bathroom was a bit tiny, but it worked. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. We highly recommend staying here for a nice quiet, laid back experience. .

Quiet, just off the beaten path, and a block away from a trolley stop, St Francis is our go-to place to stay in Old St. Augustine. It's located minutes from the water, walking distance to Old Town, and less than 2 miles to the lighthouse (also walkable or by bike). We fell in love with this historic inn. The owners and staff have been there for years, and we love coming back to the same smiles and friendly people. Always a pleasure, and I recommend it to anyone coming to St Augustine. This is our home away from home.

My son and I needed a little getaway that was unique, comfy and charming. St. Francis went above and beyond our expectations. We stayed in the Garcia Suite to celebrate Juneteenth, and from the complimentary sherry and breakfast, to the pool, pillows, old charm and sweet treats, we were totally in love. You can park at the inn and walk straight into the heart of St. Auggie. The beauty and antique peace this inn provides is eclipsed only by its helpful, straightforward staff. No billing surprises and clear, user-friendly communication from reservation to check-out and beyond. Will be back!

Yelp
Amazing BnB inSt Augustine FL. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the breakfast unbelievable. They served the best biscuits and gravy (second only to my own and my daughters's) on the first morning and incredible French toast, more like a bread pudding on the next morning. I was so surprised by the amount and taste of the food. Pastries, toast, fruit, yogurt, real orange juice, soft drinks, wine (at social hour), cappuccino, several selections of other coffees, bacon, sausage, and so much more. The rooms and beds were comfortable. The pictures were of the small bathroom, comfy bedroom, outside courtyard with fountain, and the breakfasts. So many small home touches, for example between 7-9 PM they served home made desserts. Parking in town is a big plus!!! Not only easy, but everything is within walking distance even in the heat of summer. What a lovely place. I almost forgot the pool to cool off in. Five stars.!!.

Yelp
It has taken me months to write this review. My husband and I stayed at St. Francis Inn in June 2023. We had gotten married in November 2022, but our honeymoon then was cut short by a hurricane, so we booked to come to St. Augustine in the summer. When June came around, I was almost 9 weeks pregnant! We looked at our trip to St. Francis as a little babymoon. We stayed in the Balcony Room and absolutely loved it. The staff was very kind, friendly, and hospitable. They had brought us champagne since we said it was our honeymoon, and once they realized I was pregnant they brought up some sparkling cider. Breakfast and snacks throughout the day were delicious. We loved the courtyard, our balcony, the closeness to downtown, the history of the inn, and the cats. Overall it was a very warm place that felt like home. Early in the morning on our third day there, I felt immense pain and realized I was having a miscarriage. I stayed at the inn for a few hours before my husband called an ambulance. I was feeling so weak, depleted, and in pain. Paramedics came and took me downstairs and to the ambulance in one of those interesting wheelchairs that can go down steps. My husband and I were devastated and decided to drive home that day. When we got back to the inn a few hours later, the staff was very tender and sympathetic when we told them we would be checking out early. Without us asking, they refunded us for the night that we wouldn't be staying, even though I had read that no refunds could be issued. Though I expect that most people would never want to return to where they miscarried, we felt so supported in the inn that my husband and I discussed on our drive home that we would come back one day, with our future children. Thank you to the staff. Your sympathy was truly appreciated.

Yelp
I just wanted to brag about St. Francis Inn. My husband and I just had our wedding at the Inn 1/6/24. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful experience. Make sure you speak to Mary if you are looking for a quaint wedding venue or a beautiful place to elope. My daughter and I spent the day getting our hair and makeup done in one of the rooms. We stayed in Lily's room, but we love this place so we have stayed at nearly all the rooms. The Cottage is our favorite. The breakfast and happy hour are great! Just remember that if you are out on the town for dinner you remind them to hold your dessert for when you get back.

Belkis D.

Yelp
Lousy. Everything in this venue is lousy to one degree or another. From the rude clerk that has zero customer service to the parking lot across street. I would advise that you read the low star reviews in different websites as they will come handy if anything were to go wrong. It may save you a lot of grief.

P F.

Yelp
I booked a room there for three days. The venue falsely advertised all rooms on its website as pet-friendly. Upon arrival, I was greeted by an extremely rude receptionist at the front desk. She denied that all rooms were pet friendly, especially the one I booked. I asked her if she could find me a room that was. She pretended to and then told me she had none available. When asked about my deposit refund, she flatly told me they would keep it. This place is involved in false advertising. Beware before you book a room there!

Yelp
Best B&B in St. Augustine. Spent my honeymoon here and celebrated our 35th anniversary her. Great place!

Yelp
We stayed at the beach cottage belonging to the St. Francis Inn. It was beautiful and roomy and clean; it was three houses down from the beach. You really can't see the beach from the front porch but you can hear it and it's just a short walk over the dunes. It's located on B St. in Saint Augustine Beach. There are probably 10 bars and restaurants within a two block radius. We visited several of them! My favorite part of being here was curling up with my puppy in a quilt in the chilly breeze listening to the ocean and reading my book. 20$ a day pet fee but that included some pup treats and water bowls for both dogs. We were also able to go back to the main inn several times for some snacks, cookies, and we needed some printing done for a contract. They were more than happy to help. Plan ahead! Because this place books up quickly.

Yelp
My love surprised me with a mid-week get away to the St. Francis Inn during Covid. When he showed me the place on line, I was excited. He let me choose the room (The Overlook) and then made the reservations. When we got to the actual location, I was so excited. I've been on just about every walking tour of St. Augustine, Haunted or not and they ALWAYS stop at this location, and here I was getting to stay! Color me very VERY happy. The staff was very pleasant, warm and friendly. Everyone wore a mask our entire stay. If you didn't have one, there were ones at the desk for your use (In baggies, single use, of course) Our room was on the third floor, it over looks both St. George St and the St. Francis Park so it can be a busy corner, but it wasn't terrible. At night we could hear a train in the distance and to us, that was quite quaint. The Overlook Room is large and spacious, with a kingsize bed, a large seating area, a wardrobe with robes, microwave and fridge, as well as a Jacuzzi tub and shower. It's a very well appointed room and the bed is VERY comfortable, though the pillows were a bit lumpy (I'm picky, which is why I bring my own). Every morning we were there, there was a delicious breakfast complete with espresso if you wanted it, the hot portion served to you while you helped yourself to the cold, fresh fruit and delicious baked goods. I can tell you that I did not go hungry. Every evening was a social hour, but in the time of covid, it was more a pick up your boxed desserts, which were amazing each night, along with some wine or soda, and either crudites or a small meat and cheese plate. Again, you didn't go hungry at night. One of the things I really enjoyed about the place was that they offered bikes to ride, which saved the wear and tear on my feet. We rode our bikes into the Ancient city, locked them, did our exploration and then rode home, it was such a better use of our time! The pool looked delightful, but we didn't use it on this stay. So, the Inn is rumored to be haunted, did we experience anything? Yes, we did. We heard what sounded like footsteps across the window wall that over looked the park and we experienced what felt like a cat jumping on the bed each night. Supernatural? I don't know, but those were our experiences. Would we come back? YES! This place is welcoming and warm, they're doing everything right during Covid, and they're just warm people.

Yelp
If you've never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast, this is the perfect spot to try. The service is beyond satisfactory. They have such a sweet little set up with a courtyard, breakfast area, pool and within walking distance to the main shops and restaurants. There is a sweet local cat that calls the place home, (if you have allergies, stir clear). They also have souvenirs if interested in buying to remember your experience. Mugs, ornaments, robes, soaps, etc.

Yelp
Loved everything about the St. Francis Inn Bed and Breakfast and hope to return! The B&B features comfortable, clean rooms; serves a hearty breakfast, tea and coffee all day, wine, beer and snacks for happy hour, dessert and s'mores at the fire pit in the evening; and has ample parking, super friendly service, and proximity to town. Pleased the staff could accommodate Gluten-free diet restrictions. We stayed two nights, joining three other couples following a college reunion nearby, and everyone raved about the St. Francis Inn Bed and Breakfast. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We had the best time celebrating my daughter's birthday here. We stayed in the Elizabeth Suite, and it was adorable!!! Parking was free and located across the street, which was so convenient. They had iced tea waiting for us and even gifted my daughter a small bottle of champagne to toast her 21st birthday!!! We had complimentary wine and beer at the 5 pm social hour, followed by making s'mores at the firepit at 7 pm!!! We purchased the paranormal package, and they scheduled our walking ghost tour at 8 pm, complete with matching t-shirts. They had dessert and snacks waiting for us when we returned, and we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast from 7:30-9:30 am with all the specialty coffees made to order. Ask about the complimentary tickets to the St. Augustine Lighthouse and the Lincolnville African American Museum; they are both unique and treasured experiences!!! These are beautiful memories that we will cherish. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it!!!

Yelp
This place is NOT FOR FAMILIES and is UNETHICAL I showed up with my wife and young daughter. The receptionist RUDLY said that our room was not a good family room because "if your toddler cries at night we will have to ask you leave" Ok? Well, can we get a family room? All booked up sir Ok, well, this apparently isn't a good fit for either of us. I'd like to cancel and I'll find a different place to stay We don't offer any refunds So I had my travel agent get involved and they still won't refund the 2 nights stay. Each night over $300. Just awful. What a terrible place. I'd rather sleep in a morgue than hang out in the creepy lounge. Don't do family trips here and expect customer common courtesy. The Doubletree was excellent

Yelp
I will say to those concerned over safety due to Covid the inn is amazing! I did not have many conversations with the staff as I would like. I plan on returning and staying in a different room. We stayed in the cottage. The cottage is good option for families. Old houses makes noises ... do not put anyone loud upstairs! The inn is easy walking distance to attractions, shopping, and restaurants. The inn offers wonderful options for all! My family is already talking about another trip. !!

Yelp
This is our go to stay place when visiting St. Augustine. We visit every 3 months for the last 3 years. It is one of the priciest places in town but well worth it. The staff is super welcoming, personable, and goes above and beyond. Elle has been our #1 since the moment we checked in 9/2015. The breakfast is so delicious. The social hour is awesome. The sheets on the beds are super comfy. The amenities are great and are worth every penny if you take advantage of all of them.

Yelp
This place was so charming. I had wanted to stay here for some time so when my guy booked us a room here on a whim I was estatic. Unfortunately the main inn was booked so we received a room across the little brick street in a separate building. This did not diminish our stay at all. We had a very nice room in the back of the building with a private balcony. Our room had a comfy queen size bed...a large bathroom with a 2 person jacuzzi tub..and a welcome decanter of sherry. We were shown around including the full shared kitchen in the next room over. My guy had ordered a bottle of champagne to be there at check in and since we arrived late we were surprised it wasn't there. When we mentioned it the night desk girl went immediately to get it...ice it down..and gave it to us complimentary. That's what the service here is like. Complimentary bottle water at the front desk..complimentary bike rentals..discounts to many attractions..breakfast is included as well as happy hour snacks and non alcoholic drinks..others for pirchase. Even though the inn was sold out each night when we got in we were the only ones in the small but nice pool for our midnight swims. It's in a great location at the edge of all the spots to see so it makes it a great home base. My only complaint was since there was a suite below us a family of 8 or more constantly congregated downstairs...smoking..drinking and talking at all hours from early morning ruining out quite private balcony experience to late evening making us trip over them to get in the front door. You can take the person out of Wal mart but.....well u know how it goes. Really we loved this spot. Yes it's a little price but when u consider all the amenities it's well worth it!

Yelp
Definitely the best place that I have ever stayed. When we first arrived, we noticed how beautiful the grounds were. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. The staff was wonderful, helpful, and so polite. They made every part of the stay easy. We actually got to participate in some of the activities offered like the s'mores making and social hour, both of which were a fantastic time. The breakfast was incredible. We stayed on the weekend so we got to enjoy mimosas and a delicious breakfast menu. There is so much offered here that we didn't get to experience. The property is about a 10 minute walk to Saint George Street, so the location was perfect. I would absolutely stay here again.

Paul R.

Yelp
this was an incredible find. Great location in historic downtown. A charming place and our room was small and cozy. But decorated nice with a electric fireplace. Grounds around inn were beautiful and well kept. Staff is outstanding. I look forward to visiting this place again.

Yelp
I have NEVER been so sad to check out of a place before!!! St. Francis Inn is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We stayed in Miss Emily's room. I must say we wanted for nothing! The staff was so kind and generous. The breakfast is awesome. My husband has an egg allergy and can only eat organic eggs. Nancy made my husband organic scrambled cheese eggs every morning! The picnic basket was filled with cheeses, meats, crackers, veggies and fruit. Oh, don't forget the cookies. Miss Emily's room is so pretty. My husband and I were barely checked out and we were planning our next visit to bring the kiddos, fur babies and dad. My favorite spot is in the garden by the koi pond and of course, loving on Rebel the resident kitty! Almost forgot! Dessert every night boxed for you to take to garden or your room. Like I said, WE WANTED FOR NOTHING! St. Francis Inn staff, we are counting the days till we see you all again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our 29th wedding anniversary one we will never forget. Catherine & Stephen Arena

Yelp
Intimate, romantic, relaxed, pampered...supercute!!!! I am not sure if I have many more words to describe this B&B! Four thumbs up! From the moment I step out of our car and onto their naturally landscaped path to the inn; from the moment I see that lush courtyard full of local flora; even from the moment I saw that perfect shade of red on the door, matching chairs and porch swing, I knew I had stepped into a wonderful place. The inn has been lovingly restored to that antiquey, comforting style, but it is not at all cheesy or frou-frou. We started our stay at the inn with their social hour complete with complimentary wine and beer. After a short stroll to downtown for the Castillo de San Marcos followed by dinner by the bay, we came back to find dessert waiting for us! They even provide a basket of snacks and more fresh teas for the evening. The next morning, the gourmet breakfast was so yummy and filling! We had a buffet of five cheese strata, pancakes, fresh fruit salad (they even cut the big grapes in half!), cereals, yogurt, juices and coffee....oh my! The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. They made sure every detail was taken care of for our stay. There is even alcohol wipes on the phone! Who thinks of that??? St. Francis Inn did! You should never rush through here. Do stay at least an extra night so you can feel the best hospitality any inn can offer. One note, Lily's Room has a claw foot "tub shower". The shower is a bit small, there are rooms with more modern showers and jacuzzi tubs.

Yelp
Absolutely perfect stay. I booked online for a New Year's Eve get away. I was bummed when I booked the Beach Bungalow and realized it is actually 6 miles away on the beach. I really wanted to stay at the Bed and Breakfast and take full advantage of all of the amenities. I know, I know, a room named Beach Bungalow I should have known. I just thought it was a themed room. Good news we had the best of both worlds. We got away from the hustle and bustle and were just steps away from the beach but we also got to enjoy the pool, free AMAZING breakfast daily, the courtyards and free parking! It was so convenient to park and walk .4 miles to all the action. The pool was heated and sparkling clean. Our breakfast was phenomenal. Free mimosas and Bloody Mary's. Enough food to give you fuel for the day. We used their bikes one day to explore the city. I just can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. I forgot to mention daily social hour from 5pm-6pm! So awesome. Check out was easy. We just left our key on the kitchen counter and called the front desk. 1000% on our next visit to this beautiful city we will be staying at St. Francis Inn again. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Yelp
I wish I could rate this place 100 stars. I've stayed here at least 10 times in all different rooms. I've stayed in the house across the street too that they own. The service, food and rooms here are immaculate. You feel like you are being treated like royalty here. Love, love this place. I recommend it to anyone looking to stay in St. Augustine. No other place compares.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great vibe, wonderful and beautiful people here. The Inn brings you back to a much different time. Stay in the Balcony room, have coffee or whiskey in the morning or until the wee hours of the morning and be inspired by your wonderful surroundings! I'll be back !

Yelp
My first visit to the St. Francis Inn was many years ago. Since that time I have returned several times with my uncle in tow. We both have nothing but the finest things to say about this beautiful Inn, The Finnegan's and the staff. It has become tradition for us to stay at a seperate Inn our first night, then continue the remainder at The St. Francis. Although the other inns we have stayed in are lovely, None has ever measured up to this amazing B&B. The Inn itself is wonderful, you can feel the history seeping out of the walls and permeating the air with it's romanticism and adventure. Each room is appointed magnificently and exudes charm from every corner. Staff at the Inn are very warm, friendly, accommodating beyond measure, and knowledgeable about the area and it's many offerings. The amenities offered by the St. Francis are incomparable and offer a substantial value over others in the St. Augustine. With several options available, there is something for everyone. The food served for the breakfast and the desserts at the evening social are not to be missed. Along with refreshments served throughout the day. The Finnegan's are masterful at the art of hospitality and they go to great lengths to insure that every guests happiness is a priority. We can not sing their praises enough. They have assembled a top notch staff and acquired properties throughout St. Augustine in an effort to satisfy a guests every need. We greatly anticipate our upcoming trip during the Thanksgiving holiday week and excitedly await seeing the Inn decked for the holidays and St. Augustine's Nights of Lights celebration.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday and it did not disappoint! Staff is super friendly and helpful. There are so many added perks to staying here! It's not just a room, it's an entire experience. 100% will return every time we visit St. Augustine

Yelp
Our second visit to St Francis Inn confirmed our first experience-fabulous! Our large en suite room had two comfortable seating options, plush robes and felt very private. The food provided included a buffet breakfast that was delicious, happy hour wine, beer and light snacks, evening dessert and all day water, coffee, tea and soft drinks. There is plenty of room to spread out including a lovely shaded courtyard, an enclosed gazebo and the pool. We enjoyed our evenings in the courtyard conversing with other guests. The location is also wonderful, close enough to old town to walk but still quiet and peaceful. Really nice and competent employees who seem to be happy to be there. They also provide complimentary tickets to the St Augustine lighthouse which is worth a visit.
google avatar

Cassidy G.

Yelp
Between the delicious breakfast, filling appetizers, complimentary beer and wine at happy hour, and sweet desserts, we could not have asked for more from the St. Francis Inn. We stayed in Miss Emily's room and loved sitting out on our private balcony sipping coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. A short walk away from historic St. Augustine was the perfect location for exploring all the city had to offer! The free admission to the lighthouse museum was a great added bonus. I will definitely be staying at the St. Francis Inn next time I am in St. Augustine and I look forward to seeing the friendly faces of the staff again hopefully soon!!

Yelp
Absolutely charming bed and breakfast. Loads of character and history in a quiet area away from but still very close to all the activities. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Yelp
11/19/20 staying at St. Francis B&B's Garden Hideaway (1st time in this room!) after Flagler Station Townhouse column forensic inspection in Jacksonville. Stopped for lunch at Georgie's & made the great mistake of ordering a Grape leaf appetizer with my Greek salad! Way too much food but made for a fabulous poolside dinner to share after strolling the Nights of Lights (started along the waterfront, looped into town when we got to the Fort)! Only regret: I missed trying Georgie's Avgolemono soup. Other B&B guests say they struggled to find restaurant reservations (yeah us!) St. Francis has been our go-to place in St. Augustine since we ventured up, years ago, for my bosses Mother's funeral. The Garden Hideaway room could use a ladies dressing table in the tub area for makeup application! Otherwise, a quiet secluded room option
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Everything at this Inn was perfect. The parking is great, seeing how it's so hard to come by in St Augustine! The pool was cool and a mostly shaded area, so no sunburn! The rooms are old school B&B style. The courtyards are nicely kept and easily navigated. The staff is very accommodating to say the least. The food served was delicious and they have coffee, tea, and water out all the time. So nice to have cold citrus water every day rather than having to buy bottled water constantly. We loved the seating area and talking with other guests during happy hour time. So much thanks to the lady who saved us dessert since we came in late from a concert and missed dessert hour! We will definitely stay here again, nothing but good things to say about this B&B.

Yelp
Very dissatisfied, booked the room, put it on the card to hold it, they immediately charged it. The bikes free "for guest use" do not work, My husband had to go get tools from our car to try and make them rideable. There was a used pair of false eyelashes left in the room, gross. Also the inn keeper will follow you, like a nosy mom when you were a teenager, telling you where to set the very cup you are drinking out of, felt like I was with a baby sitter. The final straw, overcharged me by over $200 and will not credit it to me. I have no words......read the fine print, they will cheat you, Mark my words, Mr finnegan, the owner, is not a honest man. His on-edge employees even fear him. The owner refuses to meet or talk with me directly - even though he lives on property. I am prior military, I have traveled extensively, i have never met a business owner with less ethics.

Yelp
Where to start? This place is amazing! This is one of the most relaxing places I've ever stayed. The breakfasts are wonderful and the social hour (beer & wine) is fun. We've met many wonderful people and made some long lasting friends during the social hour. Other times we've been hermits, this place is pressure free. Beverages are provided all day and come in handy when taking a break from seeing all that St. Augustine has to offer. The point of any vacation is to feel relaxed, and this inn certainly accomplishes this and then some. The price won't stress you out either. One last note: free parking (an unbeatable amenity).

Yelp
What a place! We arrived in time for the cocktail hour, 5-6, with complimentary local beer and wine. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary and the place was perfect. Kelly called me up to go over the reservation and provide details. She was wonderful. And made dinner reservation and helped with the local area. They delivered breakfast to us in our room at a time of our choosing. Overall, fantastic.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon and loved it! The staff were friendly, the complimentary breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was very quaint. We stayed above the garage area, as that is supposed to be the most private. My husband hates staying in hotels due to sounds from other guests but we had no problems at all here. After arriving, we learned that there are ghosts that visit certain rooms but not ours. Well, that was not the case as something sat on our bed and tugged at the sheets. It wasn't scary, but definitely unexpected. Speaking of the sheets, we loved how soft and comfortable they were. And when we found out that they sell them in the gift shop, we were sold! Parking and driving down the small streets in a large truck was difficult and not ideal, but it was away from the crowds and quiet so we don't mine. Definitely coming back again!

Yelp
I have stayed at the St Francis Inn three times and every time the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure we have an incredible stay. They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area and will do what they can to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. They offer a lot of perks to staying with them from the free snacks and beverages all day long, to the discounts on various attractions. Not to mention the breakfast every morning is always something to look forward to. Everything tastes as though it is made fresh and from scratch. They also offer a different homemade desert every night that is the perfect way to end the day. The rooms in the inn are very cozy and well kept. They perfectly capture the historic charm of the rest of St Augustine. The Inn is located within walking distance to much of what the town has to offer, making it very convenient. They also offer some dog friendly rooms so you don't have to leave your furry friend behind. All of the perks and amenities of staying on site are extended to the offsite beach lodgings. It makes me happy to see so many positive reviews on here for the St Francis Inn. Every 5 star review is so well deserved. I couldn't recommend this place enough and am always looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
We loved our stay at St Francis Inn! I can't say enough great things! The location was perfect and we could walk to everything! Perfect spot for taking in the Nights of Lights and exploring St Augustine! We stayed two nights in the Cottage. We are a family of 3 and we brought our golden retriever. Our dog was welcomed with a doggy bowl and some treats and a personalized welcome note with her name! The cottage was a full sized apartment with two bedrooms a full kitchen and a living room with fireplace. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The Inn followed proper social distancing guidelines and masks were required inside at all times. We only ate breakfast one morning during our stay since we had an early departure our last day, but it was very good! They had a breakfast station with a spinach egg scramble, blueberry French toast and sausage along with other types of continental breakfast foods. They offered bloody Mary's, mimosas and cappuccinos and lattes as well. There were signs posted in the breakfast room that masks were required at breakfast station and in building unless seated and eating. There were two people serving the breakfast with masks on. This helped to prevent guests from having their hands in the food, which I appreciated. I was a little annoyed that I saw two different guests approach the breakfast station and start touching condiments and other continental items while not wearing a mask. I also saw a man get up from his table and approach the woman serving the food at the station without a mask. He got really close to her (and the food) and I saw her step back. Unfortunately the man did not pick up the social cue and remained in the woman's space without a mask on. I really wish people would be a bit more aware and respectful of personal space and shared food spaces! Especially if they want to continue to enjoy vacations in st Augustine and places like bed and breakfasts during a pandemic! We are grateful to have found a mini vacation spot in Florida since so many places across the country are currently shut down. It's not too much to ask people to wear a mask! Thank you St Francis Inn for providing us a safe and beautiful get away during these difficult times. We really needed it and thoroughly enjoyed it! Oh and we loved the daily dessert boxes we received each evening along with the home made cookies and social hour with beer and wine! We even enjoyed playing a game of Yahtzee one rainy afternoon. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast! Our stay was perfect

Yelp
My husband and I visited the St. Francis Inn B&B on 9/23/16 to celebrate our anniversary. We had such an amazing time, we are already trying to figure out when we can go back (and wish we'd stayed longer)! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We loved the set up of the room and the overall site and felt everything was very comfortable. There was a great happy hour the afternoon we arrived and it was so nice to have a drink or two and some delicious snacks before going to dinner later that night. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and delicious. I'm pretty sure we went back for seconds. Then, when we checked out on Saturday, we were even still able to use the bicycles for the afternoon (which was great considering the heat)! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and can't wait to go back. :)

Yelp
First timer to the area and to a bed and breakfast. Very cozy and quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to the town where there are plentiful bars, restaurants, museums, shops and live entertainment. The front staff was very nice explaining things in the area to do and gave us free tickets to the lighthouse. She explained there was a "social hour" with complementary drinks and hors d'oeuvres. There is water, cups, ice 24/7. Coffee and teas throughout the day. Complementary hot breakfast. A mimosa and Bloody Mary bar. And snacks overnight! Upon check in the front desk personnel walked us to our room and showed us everything to make sure it was to our liking. The room was vintage and charismatic but had wifi, tv and mini fridge. The bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub/ shower. There was a pool and outdoor seating. We only stayed for one night and since this was our first time to the area we spent little time at the inn and was not able to utilize all the amenities offered. They also had free bikes for use and umbrellas if need be. The room was also stocked with sherry which we did not touch due to being out on the town. Bed was huge and comfortable. Check in was at 3 and out at noon. Definitely would recommend!

Yelp
By far the best bed and breakfast in St Augustine. The staff is amazing and they are very military friendly, offering the government per firm rate to individuals traveling on official business during the week. Their breakfast spread is very good and they offer a happy hour and snacks for late night munching. It is a short walk from the shops and restaurants downtown. I won't stay anywhere else when I'm in town.

Yelp
By far the best experience of a bed and breakfast ever!! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need! And so much food! They have happy hour a few hours after check in with complementary snacks and wine. Then a few hours later they have dessert and s'mores. We enjoyed hour massages in the privacy of our own room which were amazing!! The breakfast is fresh and so much variety with cereals and even mimosas and Bloody Mary if you choose to drink! Highly recommend a stay here even if it's for one night! And a massage

Yelp
Bed & Breakfasts are my favorite things because they are like staying in a fashionable grandmother's well-decorated home. I love the uniqueness of each room. This was the first Bed & Breakfast I've ever stayed, my family planned a vacation in St. Augustine and be stayed in two of their rooms for a week. We stayed in Lily's Room (definitely recommend for the best chance of a true St. Augustine experience) and Elizabeth's Suite. The staff was very friendly and welcoming which is important when staying in such a small and intimate accommodation. The breakfast was unique and delicious, served buffet-style in a cute, well-set dining room. They had their own private parking as well as a limo service complimentary to guests that took you places you wished to go downtown (not sure if it's still available but they had it when I stayed here several years ago). They have a cute courtyard which is a great place to relax and get some fresh air. They also have a sitting room with a fire place with many comfy chairs gathered around complimentary drinks and snacks. One evening, several guests gathered in that room and had great conversation, bonding over each of our paranormal and other interesting experiences in each persons life. It was nice how a welcoming and quaint inn can bring strangers together like that. I hope to stay here again in the future the next time I plan a few days in St. Augustine.

Yelp
My husband and I often stay in bed and breakfast inns when we travel but this one is wonderful. Certainly the best we have ever stayed in! This place is tranquil, clean, comfortable and the staff are wonderful! The food is excellent. There are so many little touches that contribute to make this inn perfect in every way!

Yelp
We pull onto this quiet brick road. Tucked away at the corner is the St. Francis Inn. Free parking is across the street shaded by beautiful trees. We walk in and it has a quaint cozy feel. For a part of our honeymoon we stayed in Emily's room at first we were taken to the wrong room so our chocolates, champagne and basket were brought to us later on. It wasn't in our room when we got there. Which kinda took away the feeling of it. Our room had a balcony which was really nice because it made the room more open. The food was excellent. This is not your ordinary hotel, box of cereal and a cold hard-boiled egg kinda breakfast. Everyday there was something new fresh warm and delicious. Even in the afternoon and night there was a display of food. After taking our complimentary bikes out for the day, we would come back to a new refreshing fruit/cucumber/mint infused water and there was always something delicious to snack on. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will pick a different room next time but we will return.

Yelp
My favorite place to stay in St. Augustine. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful, antique-filled rooms. Tasty breakfasts (and afternoon/evening snacks). Free parking lot a couple of blocks from the epicenter of St. Augustine's historic district. I stay here for Christmas/New Years just about every year. As good as a B&B can get.

Yelp
This was great compared to other B&Bs in st augustine! The chef was wonderful with different dishes every morning complete with mimosas and bloody marys, expresso, lattes and more. Cookies and desserts from 7-9 and a happy hour from 5-7. We stayed in (the courtyard) one of the cheapest rooms but it was cute, cozy and had a fireplace. It had a clawfoot tub but the bathroom was so small- don't even think of getting more than one person in there! The employees were very nice and interested in you having a wonderful experience. It was a very nice, relaxing place with no loud music at 2 am like with some other Downtown b&bs.

Yelp
Definitely stay here. Cozy, quaint, clean and comfortable. All a B&B should be. Nice touch on the in-room night cap, the gin drink samples, and really all the complimentary libations.

Yelp
Wonderful, Wonderfull Inn. I highly recommend this B & B. They catered to our every need, and more! Rooms very, very clean and updated to modern plumbing and all, but still has the charm and period furniture of the circa 1791 building. Between the happy hour, dessert hours and breakfast everyday, we enjoyed returning to this Inn. They catered to my spouse's dietary needs easily. Very close to town, easy walk, and ample free parking. I cannot compliment the friendly staff enough. We even had a free decanter of sherry in our room, upon arrival.

Yelp
I have not been here in 32 years. It's humbling to come back here with kids of my own. Super soft sheets. Breakfast is included. (NOT powered eggs!) Beach bikes are here to use. Great food nearby. Kids love the pool and petting the cat.
