St. George may be a small church but it is full of wonderful, caring people, inspiring sermons and fabulous music! Come and see!

My husband, sister in law and I found this quaint historic little church last year and fell head over heels in love with it and the congregation. It is located on Fort George Island in Duval County, FL and was founded in 1877. The congregation is small and everyone is incredibly friendly. We felt like we belonged right away. Father Jon Baugh is a blessing to the church and an amazing example of living a life of faith and service. There is one traditional Episcopal service every Sunday at 9:30am. The church also has a wonderful pianist who plays during the service. If you decide to visit this sweet church stay for coffee and the potluck breakfast after. There is Sunday school for children up to 4th grade. One of the coolest services during the year takes place on the beach where baptisms are held and the Sunrise Easter service was beautiful. Another special treat at St. George Episcopal are the peacocks that wander the tranquil property.

My husband, sister in law and I found this quaint historic little church last year and fell head over heels in love with it and the congregation. It is located on Fort George Island in Duval County, FL and was founded in 1877. The congregation is small and everyone is incredibly friendly. We felt like we belonged right away. Father Ray delivers thoughtful sermons....he also sings and plays the guitar, which is a sweet bonus. There are two traditional Episcopal services every Sunday at 8:30am and 10:30am. The 10:30 service has more music and singing. The church has a wonderful pianist who plays for both services. If you decide to visit this sweet church stay for coffee and there is a potluck breakfast after both services. There is a nursery and Sunday school for children as well as a youth group for the teens. One of the coolest services during the year takes place on the beach where baptisms are held and the Sunrise Easter service was beautiful. Another special treat at St. George Episcopal are the peacocks that wander the tranquil property.
