Very interesting and lovely place to stay. It's colocated together with St George's Cathedral. I loved the vibe & tranquillity of this place. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast included with the room booking was quite good too. The area is peaceful.

From arriving to departure my stay here was everything I could have wanted. The room, although basic, was more then adequate for my needs during my trip to Jerusalem. The breakfast was plenty-full and consisted of good local ingredients that set me up for the day. The old town is 10 minutes walk on way and the new town 15 mins in the opposite direction, so close to all amenities. If you want a peaceful place to enjoy your trip to Jerusalem this is it!

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable guesthouse. Great meals ( breakfast buffet with excellent Palestinian food) and good dinners (especially the Palestinian food). Laundry service is great. Bar service ( decent red wine!) is good. Proximity to the Old City is excellent… and to the cathedral is, of course, perfect. After two visits in 6 years … it feels like home. Great Christmas decorations, too!

This is a guesthouse so it is basic, but good. Everything is clean. Staff is very helpful. The rooms are simple and our room had a fridge. It is located close to the old city which can easily be walked to. Very close to the trolley and a bus drives by door. The breakfast has a couple of hot items, one of which changes from time to time. Plenty of cold selections, fruit, juice, and pita. Very adequate to get the day started.

The experience of staying in a cathedral/monk quarters was amazing-definitely more memorable that staying in a hotel chain. We were pleasantly surprised by the courtyard gardens and enjoyed sitting out there with a glass of wine from the bar. Having breakfast included in the price is a great perk-plenty of food choices and the coffee was good. Our room was unfortunately dirty, especially the bathroom. It was clear that zero effort had been made by housekeeping to turn over the room for us as new guests. The toilet and trash in the bathroom looked that something you'd expect from a dirty gas station bathroom. There were both feces and blood stains on the toilet seat and inside the bowl. :( I had to clean the toilet seat myself in order to use it. The bathroom trash had not been thrown away and was full of bloody trash. The shower had used shampoo bottles in it and the surfaces had not been wiped down at all. Also, whenever we used the sink, water leaked underneath it and pooled by our feet. And just to top off the bathroom experience, it smelled like sewer gas at all times. We told the staff about the condition of the bathroom and absolutely nothing was done to clean it except take out the trash the following day. Our bedding was clean and we had clean towels, but the other surfaces in the room hadn't been dusted or cleaned in a long time.

One of the best hotels i have stayed at. The courtyard has plenty of fruit producing trees and the property was immaculate. Very nice cathedral in the property. Minus the staff they could be little courteous and welcoming. Breakfast was awesome plenty of spread and delicious food every morning.

While on our Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, we stayed at St. George's for six nights. The accommodations were more than comfortable, and we had a very clean, spacious room. The food was very good - loved breakfast, and the staff was incredibly gracious and accommodating. The inner courtyard had beautiful flowers and citrus trees and made a delightful gathering spot after a busy day. The accommodations suited us very well. Loved, loved the coffee machine.

The location of the guest house makes it a great launch into the Old City of Jerusalem as it is only a short 5-10 minute walk from the Damascus Gate (so you don't have to worry about parking your car). On your way you to the Damascus Gate, I recommend you stop at the historic Balian family's "Armenian Ceramics of Jerusalem" shop who do beautiful hand-painted ceramics! The one night we stayed there we got the Salmon for dinner and it was generous and delicious! The breakfast was basic but fit the bill and got you on a good start to your day. The courtyard of the guest house was shady and breezy and an absolute delight to dine in!
