"One of the largest, and most laid-back, of Antigua ’s resorts, St. James Club & Villas, on Mamora Bay, about five minutes from English Harbour, has long been a favorite of couples and families. As at many all-inclusives, the dining can occasionally bring back memories of school lunch programs, but the free Kidz Club and four wedding gazebos let everyone know it is their kind of place. On one of the two beaches, Mamora Bay, the waves gently lap; on the other, Coco Beach, the surf crashes. Among the six pools, two are adults-only, and one is just for kids."

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the St.James Club Antigua. The staff was amazing and I must give extra shout out and credit to the food and beverage staff. I enjoyed everything. They had the St.james club antigua Jacaranda bar at night and the reef bar by the pool was great I love the docksider restaurant by the beach and the Eleven-11 restaurant at night was our favorite and rainbow restaurant for breakfast and the coffee shop. The Chocolate table with chocolate martini was fantastic we love the staff they were friendly and helpful especially Chris the waiter at Docksider. The food was great lots of varieties. I loved everything about this hotel and I would recommend it to everyone.

|We were at St James Club for two weeks mid June. We had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The food was fresh with lots of variety. We enjoyed the waterspouts and the Mamora Bay resort. There was some seaweed on the Coco Beach side, but well taken care of. Thanks, to the front desk team in sorting out some small issues. Special thanks to Darius, Donna, Elton and Sandra. Thanks for going the extra mile|We will be back in the near future, with some work colleagues. They will love the place...

A second time visit to the island of Antigua. St James Club & Villas was our choice of accommodation. |1. Check in - front desk were really helpful. Clearly understaffed and under whelmed it took a while to check into our rooms. They did bring over welcome drinks which was great. When we checked in, we were given one room which was then not removed from our booking and then a second given. However We were left to wait and wait and wait to be able to go to the room. It was finally resolved despite staff going on breaks |2. The room - was great, clean and well stocked with toiletries. You are meant to get complimentary water which was not in our room and it took three days of going to reception to have it. The showers could do with an upgrade as the pressure seems low and the warm water takes a while to get to the room. But generally, bed is great and cleaning staff do a very good job.|3. Food and restaurants - Dockers is great, with a different menu each night. Staff are attentive and look to make sure you have a great meal. Food choices are strange as having Chinese in the Caribbean doesnt seem right, but the food quality is incredible. Night time entertainment on some of the nights was ok and added to the atmosphere. |Coco's i think is the restaurant at the top part of the resort. NO atmosphere, not even music. Staff wanted us out as soon as possible despite us still wanting drinks. this was the only night we didn't eat in docksiders |4. Breakfast and lunch - amazing breakfast with my favourite being omelettes. Chefs cooking these were generally happy and friendly. Waiting staff were attentive and quick. Food is fresh and plenty of varieties. Smoothies were good, although on some days a bit watery.|5. Beaches - two to choose from - one in front of the hotel was full or naturally occurring sea weed which no one can sort out. The staff work hard to clear it but its a never ending job. Back beach is wear water sports happen and is nice and clean. Water is not what you would expect from a Caribbean island, BUT its warm, clean and lovely to splash around in. Although it would be good if drinks were closer |6. Water Sports - great staff and good selection. Staff are willing to engage with you and teach you and equipment is good. ||General comments - we did arrive at the end of the season so work was being done which was not intrusive at all. ||MESSAGE TO OWNERS - its time to invest in this resort to enable it to compete with other resorts on the island. Some areas look tired with grass growing through paving and cracked paving in various areas. Staff are working hard with what seems complicated systems of signatures - check in, sign, have an invoice - approve to sign, make a payment, sign, blimey you are using a lot of paper. Road surfaces can do with renewing and the little shop needs investment. ||It was an enjoyable experience made better by great staff.

St. James’s Resort in Antigua was amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful, taking care of everything from excursions to our bags. The rooms are updated and beautiful, the pools are stunning, and the whole vibe is welcoming. We loved dressing up for dinner and trying the different restaurants. The snorkeling trip that leaves right from the resort is a must—great for all ages with fantastic guides. Can’t wait to return!

From the moment that we arrived, we were pampered and treated with care. From Jackie, the concierge, to Kaycie at Guest Services, we had everything we needed. The Activities Coordinator Tyrain was so impressive! He gave a tour of the grounds, led aqua aerobics, hosted bingo, and even coffee making in the cafe - he did it all! The room was lovely, housekeeping did a great job. The breakfast was delicious- every palate was satisfied. There was local food, fruits, cheeses, pancakes, omelettes, and anything else you could think of. The dinners were also lovely. The themed nights were well thought out. My only detractor was lunch. At midday, it took over an hour to receive our meals in each of the resort's restaurant sites. On a positive note, we rented a car from Jah-T Rental Service. The manager, Garry, really took good care of us. We loved meeting Eula of Eula's Taxi. I hope that we have the good fortune to go again. If you're still deciding, I would urge you to go to the Saint James.

– A solid, family-friendly large resort with gorgeous views and a relaxed vibe. One of the two beaches was closed due to seasonal sargassum (a global issue, not the hotel’s fault), which sometimes brought an odor, but the pools—especially the quieter Cocos pool—made up for it. Staff were generally warm and outgoing, though service can take a couple of asks. Food is good (not gourmet), with breakfast and lunch on property and lots of great dinner options nearby. Activities like bingo, music nights, and the manager’s reception add variety, while the kids club caters more to younger children. Overall, it’s a good value in a great location. Pro tips: split your trip with a stay on the Dickenson Bay or Jolly Harbor side, visit Carlisle Beach, and don’t miss Shirley Heights for the legendary party nights.

I stayed at The St James Club Aug 23-30, 2025. The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained. 99.9 % of the staff is amazing and welcoming! |Our room was in the Royal Suites area, 2nd floor. It was beautiful, modern, and had an amazing vaulted ceiling. The Sunset views were spectacular! Housekeeping did a great job with daily service||Special shout outs to Samori, who was our waitor several times, he's friendly, welcoming, funny, and did an exceptional job! Danisha at the Royal Suites Bar, was so sweet, always smiling, and went above and beyond, making sure we had amazing drinks and a great time at the Royal Suites Pool Bar (where we made great friends and spent a lot of time). Michael from the Rainbow Garden, always had a huge smile waiting for you, his friendly happy demeanor always started you're day off the right way! Naomi at the excursions desk was phemonimal!!! She was extremities knowledgeable about the excursions, we booked 2 and had a wonderful wonderful time! Riann and Omar from the management team were 100% hands on, we saw them multiple times throughout the day, throughout the resort, and they always asked us how our experience was and what we liked and didn't like. ||Unfortunately, the resort has had a problem with sea grass in the beach side. I know you can't do much about the water temperatures and ocean currents, so we tolerated it. Luckily, we stayed on the bay side which didn't smell, but the water wasn't the crystal clear turquoise waters we were expecting. The last 3 days of our trip, it was clearer, but not crystal clear. The management team takes great pride in this resort, we met a gentleman, who was called in specifically to consult with them on helping solve the sea grass issue. Apparently, the resort is losing money because of it. The resort daily, had staff hauling away truckload of sea grass, they try really hard to make the beach look beautiful, which I appreciated. The beach was beautiful, and the currents a bit rough. We did not spend much time swimming on the beach side. The bay side had as much activity, or relaxation as you wanted. The current was much calmer. Somedays we relaxed in a beach hammock in the bay, and we even snorkeled there. There are some nice size fish in there!!! |Food-|The Rainbow Garden served breakfast daily. (They were only open for breakfast). It was a generic buffet where you could get anything you wanted. Fresh made omelets, fresh fruits, breads, meats, and cheeses. As well as fresh juices, coffee and cappuccino. I did not like the coffee at all, but the cappuccino was fairly good. |Cocos had a nice variety, our fish was cooked perfectly! Unfortunately, I didn't like the sauce, which ruined it for me. The appetizers were all great!!!|The Docksider had a buffet most of the nights we were there. I want a huge fan. Sunday night was Indian " Bollywood" which was the most enjoyable. 2 nights at Docksider were suppose to be ala carte with reservations. The first night was great, the second night was changed to a buttet, (which I wish they would have alerted us about in advance), so we are somewhere else. The sunset views at Docksider are AMAZING!!!!!!|Piccolo Mondo has a reasonable upcharge. The appetizers were amazing again. I had the octopus and caprese salad, which were very good. I ordered the filet mignon, which was a bit tough by my standards, and I wasnt crazy about the topping! My fiancé ordered the lobster tail which was huge, but didn't have any flavor, even with the butter topping. We went 1 night and didn't go back. If the food was exceptional, we would have paid to eat there every night. I did ask for a glass of malbac, but they didn't have it.|The beach grill had nice lunches, I enjoyed the chicken Caesar salad and the fish tacos! |11-11 had the best meal of the trip for me. A burger with cheese, toppings, and bacon jam. It was Delicious and the fries crispy and perfect. The pizza was OK, definitely nice and cheesy! |The coffee shop had nice frozen coffee slushies. I couldn't drink the other coffees there. My fiance asked for iced regular coffee, I asked for iced cappuccino. When I asked which was which, the employee said " they're both the same. " As someone who loves coffee, they are not!!!!|My experience at the airport coming home was less than stellar, but that's another story, for another time. If I were to come back to Antigua, I'm 65/35 as to if I would come back here. The staff are top notch, (10/10), I highly loved 99.9% of them. The resort was clean and beautiful, definitely something you look for in a resort. The food for an all inclusive was average (5/10), which might sway me away next time to stay elsewhere. I think anyone who books The St. James Club, would thoroughly enjoy the resort grounds, beautiful sunsets on the bay, gorgeous sunrises on the beach, and warm welcoming friendly staff members who are generally eager to please the guests...
