Why You Should Always Order Wine on This Airline - AFAR
"Vineyards planted at exceptionally high altitude—rising above 3,600 feet—whose elevation and challenging conditions contribute to distinctive grape character; they represent some of Europe’s highest-altitude cultivation and play a key role in the production profile of the surrounding wine-producing canton." - AFAR
After knowing about this cellar/cooperative for some time, we finally got to visit and had an excellent, informative and enjoyable time. Raphaela was a jovial and warm host and shared a lot about the region and the cellar's story. Wines flowed, with the conversation and yummy local charcuterie board.

Interesting visit and wine tasting at a very good price. The tasting we took gave us six generously poured glasses of wine with a typical cheese and bread sampling from the region. The building itself is lovely and the tour is very informative. It is a great way to try unique wine, to learn about the area and it’s rich history. I would definitely come again.
Additionally, it is very easy to access with the bus and they allow dogs.

nice tasting experience in their modern looking building. the rose, red and white wines are nice. chf15 for tasting. do arrange for english speaking personnel beforehand as we had some problems communicating with them initially when noone was able to speak english. very friendly staff nevertheless. journey to this place from visp is via the only bus which operates every hour. so do time your visit before they close.

The staff did not seem very happy about hosting foreign visitors. If you're not Swiss, consider going to one of the many excellent wineries nearby, all of which warmly received us.

Amazing experience at St. Jodern, they had a beautiful taste room. We had Lora and she was a very knowledgeable despite being only her third week and English not being her first language. A must do if you’re in the area, only 9 minute bus ride from Visp!!
