St. John Should Be Your Next Culinary Destination

"Many businesses have tacked toward feeding beachgoers, one sandwich and coffee at a time. On our last morning en route to Hawksnest Beach to laze with turtles, we stopped by St. John Provisions, Meredith DeBusk’s petite storefront in Cruz Bay. The store sells housemade pastries, bagels, coffee, and dairy-free ice pops from the island’s own Irie Pops. (Irie Pops’ main outpost, which also sells dairy-free soft serve and boozy slushies, is down the road, in Mongoose Junction.)" - Hannah Selinger

This bakery, coffee shop and cafe is “da bomb”! It opens at 6AM and closes at 1 PM. Their baked goods are fresh and amazing! Today I sampled a cinnamon roll. It was “European flaky and absolutely delicious!

Google
The breakfast and coffee were sooo good. Legitimately the best everything bagel I’ve ever had. The ratio of inside to outside was ideal- not too thick so it was very flavorful. And the everything seasoning was very generously coated. It’s not your usual everything either. I tasted fennel and maybe a bit of rosemary. The craft latte menu was delectable and extensive. And finally the people were extraordinarily happy and so nice. Hands down recommend this as your coffee stop near Cruz Bay

Google
We got breakfast here literally every day. The coffee was great, but the bagels were the standout. Specifically, the veggie & olive cream cheeses were phenomenal. Sandwiches weren’t on par with the bagels but still a good meal to take to the beach. Service was great, and the ladies working were personable and prompt with the order. Really recommend this spot for coffee & a quick bite.

Google
Very good breakfast. Egg and Cheese, Bacon with English muffin. Gas station taste coffee.

Google
Absolutely best breakfast in the USVI, stopped here everyday during our stay on St John. Additionally, they have grab-to-go sandwiches for the days spent on the beach. All-around great place to grab your daily provisions!

Google
I saw the photos and reviews online and figured it might be worth a look. The coffee was absolute dog water. Worst matcha and coffee I have ever bought in my life and overpriced as hell even for the islands. The food was actually pretty decent. My sister liked the quiche a lot. The drinks disgusting though.

Google
place is just amazing. The quality of their food and coffee is out of this world! I’m so grateful I get to experience this!

Google
Great spot for breakfast and coffee. Food was delicious. We stopped by here 3 days in a row on our way out to the beach. There was a line each day and they sell out. Open until 1.

Yelp
Located near Cruz Bay in st John, this is a walkable spot from the port and also about a 3 minute drive from the car ferry. Small but dedicated parking lot shared with a laundromat. To go orders only. Their americano and their iced mocha latte with oatmilk were GREAT! Half decaf and decaf espressos are available as well which I appreciated. they serve savory and sweet pastries as well. Fast, casual and friendly vibes. A spot for tourists and locals alike. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Unfortunately the coffee beans are over-roasted, leaving a burnt and bitter taste for the espresso and even my partners latte tasted burnt. The sandwich was quite good though.

Yelp
The coffee was delicious but not my fav (I don't like super sweet and the cinnamon latte was) really the only option on the island though. Food was delicious and fresh tasting! Very friendly workers. Beware though parking is a nightmare in this area. We ended up paying to park which ended up costing us the same amount breakfast did

Yelp
This is the place for freshly baked treats, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, smoothies, and other drinks. Surprised how good everything was...only wish we had discovered it earlier.

Yelp
Great little spot for coffee. Lots of food items to choose from, we got the vegan dream bar, it was delicious and loaded with quinoa and nuts and dates, blt, and a couple of lattes

Yelp
Made the drive to St John Provisions from Coral Bay and it did not disappoint! Im a matcha girly, and the matcha latte from here was definitely on my list of favorites. My sister enjoyed her coffee and we split a yummy sandwich and coconut donut. Service was great and fast. There's parking in front, but they were taken when we came by so had to park around the corner. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Great place to get a breakfast or snacks for hiking. Great coffee too. Close to the downtown area and an easy walk from our hotel.

Yelp
My handsome husband and I visited St John Provisions twice on our trip and just LOVED it! Huge selection of hot/cold drinks, fresh sandwiches/wraps and the absolute BEST coffeecake slices I have ever had. When I reflect on our great vacation, my memory of that tasty coffeecake will be right up there!

Yelp
Great place for coffee and other breakfast foods. Also sandwiches to take to the day trips. We ended up going back even to grab their awesome peanut butter cookies for our ferry ride back. Wife said they had the best cream cheese croissant she has ever eaten, will say their Italian sandwich was pretty awesome.

Yelp
Great coffee, food and service! I would highly recommend any of the breakfast sandwiches and the Cinnamon Bay drink.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot. We arrived early on the ferry from St.Thomas (7:30am) and Provision was open with delicious coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. There were so many yummy options it was hard to choose. We opted for egg biscuits. The biscuits are cheese biscuits and there is a healthy serving of eggs. We got coffee (they also have decaf coffee). And we got an almond croissant. Perfect fortification for a long day ahead.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot-yummy sandwiches and tasty coffee drinks. We had the lox and bagels along with a ham and Swiss croissant

Yelp
Fresh smoothies, coffee drinks, quick bite options! We visited here straight off the ferry on the way to the beach. I was jonesin' for a jo'! Parking is limited.. but worth the stop because you aren't going to find coffee drink variety like this on the beach.

Yelp
The pastries were delicious. We needed to provide dessert for a dinner party and there are limited options on the island. They came recommended and didn't let us down.

Yelp
Excellent coffee and pastries, RIGHT where you needed them to be (on the other side of the car ferry ride from St. Thomas to St. John!). I wish this place was next door to me at home so I could visit them every day. They serve with a smile and it's obvious that they love what they do! Thanks for being one of the highlights on St. John!

Yelp
My almost daily go to for cold brew and delicious banana bread. A quick in and out with tasty treats and brew. What more does one need? They also sell delicious Irie Pops! WIn win!!

Yelp
Stayed above St. John Provisions while on vacation and stopped in every day for coffee, smoothies, and sandwiches for our long days at the beach ahead. Everything is SO GOOD. One of our favorite parts of the week! I miss it.

Yelp
Absolute must. You will not regret it. Ham and Swiss croissant is crispy and delicious. Friends loved matcha latte and doughnuts

Yelp
Perfect place for those who want to grab a quick drink or bite before heading off. Staff super helpful and friendly. Only went here twice but both times I had to get the bagels, banana bread, and the cinnamon sugar latte. Recommend all three of those

Yelp
Favorite quick place on the island. Prices aren't bad, breakfast sandwiches are prepared in advance grab-and-go style but are still very good. They prepare their coffee beverages and other drinks to order. Not too much else to say. A bummer they aren't open on the weekends but I've gone twice already and will go again before we leave. Also has it's on parking lot.

Ashley N.

Yelp
Can't believe we didn't discover this place until the end of our trip. We had frozen coffees, one of the best everything bagels I've ever had, a sausage and egg biscuit sandwich, a morning bun, and a few other treats for the group. Coming back for smoothies later. Highly recommend!

Dee W.

Yelp
Our goto place. Great bagels. Great donuts. Great coffee. Great egg muffins. Ham and Swiss croissants top notch. Super friendly and competent staff. Parking a little tough but yeah St. John. Great smoothies. Great coffee. All in all, this is the place you are probably looking for. Oh and the best granola I've ever had. That granola and milk in bowl is so so good.

Linda K.

Yelp
If my daughter didn't like the latte there so much I would have never gone back. The owners need to manage the counter help better.
