I came to St Kilda Beach around 2 PM with a friend from uni — and even though it was my second time here, it felt like the first.
There’s something about this place that instantly slows you down. The cold winter air, the quiet beach, the open view of the ocean — it makes you stop and breathe.
Unlike when I visited in December (when it was packed and full of wild energy), this time it was calm.
Peaceful. Almost therapeutic.
We walked slowly, clicked some photos, had deep chats, and just existed for a while.
I noticed people walking alone with their headphones in, some listening to audiobooks, others jogging or just watching the waves. It made me realize — everyone here was doing something to reconnect with themselves. To relax. To think.
That’s what I love about this place: it’s more than just a beach. It’s a reminder to pause. A place where you can let go of the pressure, the deadlines, the overthinking.
Even in silence, it feels like the sea is talking to you.
Whether you’re with a friend or alone, St Kilda Beach is the perfect spot to reflect, reset, and feel human again.
Highly recommend coming here in winter if you want peace — no crowd, no noise, just the sound of the waves and your thoughts.
