What's in St. Louis for business teaching as usual and decided to check out the arch. Absolutely amazing structure. The park was very empty. Of course. It was late morning on a Monday. But the park in the riverfront was beautiful.

A beautiful, scenic walk - made all the better as you are walking through a well-cared-for National Park. And of course there is the Gateway Arch right there - though when you go down to the actual waterfront, there’s not much to it, and I wouldn’t walk without close-toed shoes. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great time - you just should make sure you’re aware of your surroundings… and that you wash your hands thoroughly if you touch the river water (the industrial runoff upstream, plus other factors). The barge for the river boat tours is fun, though - and yes, you can bring your beer on the boat.

THE BOATt: As you can see in the pictures, the boat has several levels with places to sit and stand while the ride lasts. There was someone explaining what we could see during the ride, but I could not understand a word 🤷🏻‍♀️ FOOD: The boat has a small stand with very basic foods. Do not expect variety. Do not come hungry lol PARKING: The boat ride is at a distance from the arch facilities. If you plan to do the boat only, there is parking accessible.

Very fun experience. We got to see historic parts of St. Louis. Also the announcer made jokes and was very funny person to listen too. He gave some cool facts about the city I had no idea about. Highly recommend and it isn’t going to burn a hole in your

Beautiful quiet relaxing riverfront. No commercialism, more like a quiet stroll along the river. I barely bumped into anyone else.

I have to say if you are in St Louis this is a must do tourist attraction. I didn’t know it’s a national park, the smallest and only one in a city. Very cool. I have to say it was quite an experience you get to see a cool historical museum for free and then you have to pay to go up to the top of the Arch which is well worth it. Going up in the tram was an experience you have to see. It’s kinda scary but wildly worth it. Once you get tot the top you have 10 mins to soak in all the views and what a view it is. Overall it’s a beautiful monument the biggest in USA it’s a must do and a bucket list for sure.

The boat service should make things easy for the tourist. However, if you are going there for the first time, it is hard to find them, as you need to find Parking and then find out where to sell the tickets.
