St. Mary's Church

A beautiful and well-maintained church, peaceful, inspiring, and a wonderful reminder of Europe’s rich cultural heritage. We need more churches in Europe.

Beautiful church and monastery. It should have some more mention. I love these places full of history

Cool little side trip just a for the walk to the castle this gorgeous church was empty and quiet when I went. One could not help but be stirred by the stone work on the floor of the church, the pulpit, the icon work and organ all were top notch compared to other churches I saw in Denmark. Go and it will be worth it I promise.

If you have visited the castle a walk along the ancient streets of the town should not be missed. You will happen upon this beautiful church!

Such beautiful history in an active church building. Locals know and visitors really could enjoy the walk through. There was a historian guide for the monastery section.

Beautiful architecture, worth of stepping by on your way to castle.

Absolutely stunning medieval courtyard with a 300 year old tree! Beautiful baroque organ once played by Buxtehude himself!

Remains of a monastery, the cloister is still there. We enjoyed a repetition for organon concert while inside, at lunch time.
