We stayed at St. Michaels Harbor Inn for two nights and absolutely loved it! The hotel has a quiet, relaxing vibe and looks great both inside and out. We stayed in the Captain’s Suite, which was spacious and perfect for two people—plenty of room to unwind after a day of exploring. The hotel’s restaurant served delicious food, making it convenient to enjoy a great meal without leaving the property. The location was ideal, as it’s just a short walk to charming little shops in town. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend St. Michaels Harbor Inn for anyone visiting the area!

Spent the night of our anniversary trip here. Quiet, comfortable and spacious room. The restaurant just down the hall had prime rib that was excellent. Skip the fried chicken, but have the crab cakes, and enjoy a lovely view of the quiet harbor at sunset. Everyone was friendly. Looking forward to coming back here again.

The Harbour Inn is in a beautiful location at the marina. It is located with an easy walk to all the shops and restaurants off Talbot Street, but if you need a shuttle there is one easily available. We stayed in a Deluxe King room which was clean with a comfy bed and large bathroom. The room is decorated nicely and had a fireplace which added to the ambience. The restaurant has a great menu for food and drink. The poll area is comfy and welcoming. Lastly, all of the staff are warm and welcoming. We met our friends there and enjoyed our stay so much we booked a room for next year!

For the price we paid for just the standard room facing the marina we were very disappointed. The view was awesome but the room was small, completely undecorated, a few holes next to the bed headboard, loose toilet seat, air conditioner was fine until a certain point and then it was so loud it woke us up. The staff was wonderful, friendly and accommodating. They have shortly service as well and the food at their restaurant was so good. Highly recommend the Chesapeake Benedict for breakfast with the imperial...

Google
Beautiful hotel and in a great location. Loved the restaurant and the shuttle was super convenient and easy to get to and from town especially in the Winter. The spa was amazing! Immediately booked my next trip in March!

Loved our visit! Celebrating our daughter’s birthday weekend! Staff was so friendly and helpful with anything from restaurant suggestions to shuttling us all downtown at a moments notice. Extremely clean and comfy rooms! (3rd floor harbor view!) Peppermint leg treatment at the spa was 5 star! Can’t wait to return! Loved the Salina boat trip - it’s docked right there!

Trent, the dock hand was awesome! We had a big boating group coming in back-to-back and he handled each of us to get us in and tied up safely. We all stayed overnights on our own boats so we did not experience the Inn hotel rooms. The bar and wait staff were extremely attentive and took good care of us. Very friendly staff and a beautiful marina. The bikes that were available for use were a great convenience to bike to Main St however many of them are in need of maintenance or repair, wheels were wobbly, tires flat, and chains were rusted which makes it hard to pedal. Nonetheless we’ll be back!

I had the suite #201 & I paid a lot of money for it which I had no problem when I booked to celebrate my wife's birthday, If I knew that's going to be next to the restaurant and restaurant patio I would have not booked it. There is NO PRIVACY whatsoever between people eating, breakfast, lunch & dinner on the terrace and a wedding that was yesterday we had to have the curtains closed at all times and not enjoy the view nor sitting on the balcony it's so close I can touch the people dining from my balcony too close to the room That's not fair!!! Suggestion let your guest know in advance and or discount the room!! Other than this big issue we had no problem. The property is well kept the staff are nice and the location is very good close to all the stores and restaurants.

Yelp
Wow, this is the best place to stay if you have a boat or just for a nice getaway. I have been to 30 marinas this summer and Harbour Inn is #1. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily; the spa is relaxing with many treatment options, the resort is dog friendly, and we received great customer service from the staff. Bikes are available for all guests. We even extended our stay a few days and plan to return next year.

Yelp
The hotel is beautiful and on the water. Restaurant however has a lot to be desired. Food was average at best. It took 30 minutes to get drinks. Terrible waitress. She needs to be trained, she has no idea how to wait tables.

Yelp
This is our 4th time at Harbor Inn. We had a great family weekend. The queen suites have been remodeled and are lovely. We spent afternoons at the pool that overlooks the harbor. The shuttle service into town was very convenient. It was a quick ride to the front door of our new favorite spot in St. Michaels, The Fool's Lantern. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the WiFi was in and out. We had to continually reengage on our phones and laptop. We will be back.

Michael B.

Yelp
Old tired hotel. Way over priced ($500/night). May have been with it "Back in The Day". Staff not real friendly. Rooms were not technology updated. Broken lamp, bad mattress. Won't be back.

Yelp
Stayed for the first time mid week in October. As others have said, the location is outstanding. Enjoyed our stay. We had a waterfront room, which was larger than expected and nicely furnished. Ate at the restaurant for lunch on arrival day and it was good. Staff was nice. Free coffee from deluxe machine was a bonus. Easily walkable to Talbot Street and most shops, restaurants and attractions.

Debbie C.

Yelp
Always great. Glad to be back! You can't beat the view from waterfront rooms. Clean, comfortable bed. Lunch was great. Fried green tomatoes were the best! Hanging at the pool is always good. The spa is excellent! Out go to Labor Day destination

Yelp
What a lovely hotel! This was my first time to beautiful town of Saint Michael's and I stumbled upon this gem after some research. After reading the reviews, I was hesitant to stay here, but so glad I did. When we arrived the hotel attendant was very nice and checked us right in. I booked the Captian's Suite and the room did not disappoint. It had a perfect water view, wood floors, a jacuzzi tub and a deck. The inn is on the older side, which adds to its character. There is an on site restaurant and pool. We used the complementary shuttle. It was convenient because our car did not have to be moved to go to dinner. I appreciated this option because the parking lot was crowded. I definitely want to come back for a longer stay.

Yelp
We stayed at the Resort last night. The service was beyond was incredible, the staff was amazing and the resort is so beautiful. We ate at Harrisons, their restaurant, and our waitress Peyton and the hostess were so friendly I wanted to hug them both when we were leaving, but I refrained. It is definitely a destination we will return to. These days good customer service is hard to find. St. Michaels goes above and beyond. Thank you for making us feel like family.

Yelp
The three-star average is spot on for the Harbour Inn. I've been here twice, and both visits had their ups and downs. Harbour Inn's best asset is a physical location that provides beautiful views of both the harbor itself and the Miles River. It is worth the extra money for the waterview (otherwise you are stuck looking out on a parking lot). The Inn allows dogs, and the pet fee of $50 is reasonable (The Inn also has two dog stations for those who forget to pack refuse bags). The complimentary shuttle service and free-to-use cruiser bicycles allow guests to explore St. Michaels at their own speed. Like many hotels, the cleanliness here varies according to the whims and vagaries of the housekeeping. For the most part, the Harbour Inn was adequately clean, though on my most recent stay, the bathroom had unseemly brown stains on the wall adjacent the toilet. The associated provisions leave much to be desired. The gym/workout room is a small, cramped space containing an exercise bike, a treadmill with unstable tread, and an elliptical machine with a broken left arm. The coffee machine in the the Ship's Locker (adjacent to the lobby) was out of service for almost an entire day on my most recent trip, and long gone are the days of free breakfast. The problems at Harrison's Harbour Lights deserve their own review, but suffice to say the attached restaurant is not helping the Inn.

Frank V.

Yelp
For the price we paid, over $400/night, I'd expect it to be very clean and at least a little modern. The room was filthy, hairs in the top of the dresser drawers with what looked to be small bits of crackers. No lights on the decks on the 3rd (top) level, no power outlets on the deck. Floor had stuff all over it. Tried to charge us $18 for rose pedals, uh no, that didn't belong on our bill. The only saving grace here is that they have a shuttle (suburban) that would take us where we needed to go which was nice. Nicole, I believe the manager, was helpful as well but too much on her plate. The restaurant within the Inn had the S L O W E S T service you can imagine. Waitress "forgot" to put in the avocado toast we got, forgot to give us a box, had no utensils on the tables, etc. Pay the extra buck and go to The Inn at Perry Cabin.

Lauren S.

Yelp
To start with the positive- the view is breathtaking! It's the reason I chose this hotel, despite the conflicting reviews and boy I wish I stayed elsewhere and just had dinner at one of the restaurants across the street. Other positives- the driver service is great and very handy. I can't express how disappointed I was with this place. Our rooms decor and feel was eh. The lack of attention to detail was mind blowing. When we first got to our room the bathroom wasn't completely cleaned (used soap left behind in tub), but I thought there was dirt on the floor too, but it's just discoloration. On the mirror there was permanent black drip stains. There was also an out lightbulb and no shampoo in the room (but two conditioners). I don't understand why they think this room is in usable condition when you're paying 500+ a night in peak season. Also the elevator went out one day which was also a bummer.

Yelp
we had several issues that were concerning, while checking out the manager Nicole went out of her way to speak with us, but more importantly heard the concerns, Nicole was gracious enough to offer two nights at no charge during a future visit, we appreciate Nicole recognizing the opportunity to address the issues we had and take action to correct, in todays world this is not the standard businesses usually sweep it under the carpet, this business should be applauded, we look forward to our next visit it's in an incredible location! Thank you Nicole you reflect what great management is all about.

Yelp
Great place to stay in St. Michaels. Our room on the top floor had great harbor views and beautiful very large deck. The room was very comfortable. And had a separate living room area.

Yelp
I have been here in the Fall and Summer months and had a wonderful experience. But, if you come her in the Winter between Jan and March, do not expect the same experience. The hotel is basically shut down, no bar, no restaurant opened , only 1 person at the desk to help with anything that may happen. For instance... NO INTERNET when we checked in. We were fine going to town for dinner and expecting the internet issue to be resolved when we returned. It was not. Had to change rooms... but not to a better room, just to one that had internet service,,, This is not what I paid for. We paid more then $300 for the room for 1 night. There were no cars in the lot? But they put us in a less desirable room then we had to begin with? This is not how you get people to come to your hotel in the off season. Please do better. I love St Michaels. I spent my first night here when I got married. I come back because of that. Please do better. If you are open all year, then be opened.

Yelp
St. Michaels Harbour Inn has 52 rooms & suites, so it is sizable without being overwhelming. The amenities are standard for a 3-star (breakfast, van service within town, outdoor pool, lounge areas, WiFi), and, in addition, the free bicycle rentals is a very cute touch for this area. There is a photo of a gym here on Yelp, but I didn't inquire when there. With all the outdoor activities, you don't need it. They have a bar, restaurant, and gift shop. NOTE that breakfast will no longer be included come April 2019. A plain room or a waterfront queen suite were the only available rooms when I booked, so we went with the suite. As others have mentioned, yes, decor could use updating. But they allow dogs, so I am not complaining. When I was booking my stay, another Yelper recommended nearby Perry Inn, which is also dog-friendly and very chic-boutique, but I was relieved that Harbour Inn was more laid back. Our big dogs are not prissy, and I felt more at home at this place, with shedding machines, and a baby. Pros: - View. Beautiful water views all along the two lengths of the L-shaped hotel. You can see across the harbor to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and waterfront restaurants. It's far enough not to have too much noise, but with plain sight views. - They have worked to cultivate a B&B feel to this otherwise large inn, with theme rooms of varying personalities, at a range of different prices. This makes it really handy to a variety of visitors, from wedding guests, to vacationers, to weekend getawayers, to the sea legs crew. Something for everyone, nothing putting on airs, laid back, and all about being on the water! Welcoming shore town feel to the common areas and grounds, that I really loved. (The website is not clear about bathroom upgrades per room type, so you should call to have it spelled out for you.) - I have a little boating (sailing) experience under my belt, & I know how it is to be moored or anchored for a few days without fresh water showers, so the ability to dock & use the hotel facilities, or dock & have a room that is a few feet from your boat, is one of the coolest things I could imagine! Our room had two sets of sliding doors, a patio, a full bar area, & direct access to the docks. Hello party in the warm months! This place would absolutely rock for that! The only problem would be keeping your noise down! - Staff was very friendly & helpful! Our dogs apparently started howling in the middle of our dinner out. The staff called our cell & offered to keep the dogs with them at reception. We could enjoy our 2-hour dinner in peace, & they took care of / entertained them free of charge. VERY KIND! They even gave them dog biscuits! Also, I forgot my saline solution. Since it's a small town, the only mom-n-pop pharmacies were closed, so I got my husband to grab a salt shaker from the bar to DIY saline. The bar staff had to go fetch us one from the closed dining room, & they were very gracious & kind to do so. - On the water side, every room has some kind of balcony or patio, which is a must on my list! - There is a complimentary shuttle into town (only a couple minutes by car). This is very handy for boaters with no vehicle, wedding / event guests who are drinking, or during the Oyster Festival when the town is packed, & it's too difficult to try to park downtown. - If you prefer to walk, downtown St. Michaels is a short few blocks from the Inn. Roads are okay to walk, not the best, but okay. - Free breakfast with omelette bar (as others have said). The omelettes were decent, much better than I expected, but not last-meal-on-earth-worthy as some have made it sound. - Others had complained about the WiFi but it was fine for us. No issues at all. Cons: - We paid $300/night for our suite, incl dog fee & taxes, but in-season rates are $500 and more, so had we paid that, I would have expected the below issues to be remedied, and would want more updated decor/bathroom. - Room 106 was near the exit that gives closest access to the back of the parking lot. Just outside this exit is also the employee smoking area. Somehow the living area of our suite smelled like smoke, faintly, but distinctly. - One sink had a permanent red stain on it (looked like dye or lipstick). - Glass top of dresser had a random hole that had been drilled in it, but no purpose for it. Looked sloppy. - Tub had been updated years ago by putting an insert over a former tub, & it was extremely shallow, only about 2/3 the depth of a standard tub. Not cool! In summary, it was a good time, and I would love to go back. I'm not fond of the prices in warmer months, but it may be worth it that time of year, we'll see. It's definitely a great little escape during the off-season, and while St. Michaels has a lot to do, there is so much more all over the Eastern Shore, right nearby! (Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park are next on our list!)

Yelp
We have been coming here for 15 years and have stayed at the Inn as well as the marina on our boat. I hate to say it, but I can see a decline. Boaters be aware - the bathroom facilities have changed and have been reduced to ONE women's shower and the men's room has one stall which is located IN the shower stall!! This is really not acceptable for a 52-slip marina! We tried to have breakfast at the restaurant on a Monday morning - they were super busy and someone came out to say we could stay "if we wanted" but it was going to be a long wait. I guess it was nice to be warned and they were probably short-staffed like everyone else. Tried again Wednesday and all was fine. Then there is the pool. The water was cloudy, filled with 12+ little kids the day we arrived....very different experience from previous years. The kids were Jumping off the deck into the pool, throwing balls, screaming and crying. If you have been here before you know that pool is simply not big enough to accommodate all of that fun. And I would suspect far past occupancy limits. All of this activity made it very difficult for adults to enjoy. Also noticed a boat-load of people arrive just to use the pool after the dockhand left for the day. Perhaps they have a resort pass but seemed shady and contributed to the circus-like atmosphere.

Yelp
Check in is listed as 4 pm waited 40 minutes to check in as they were doing a 'second inspection' of the room. Direct TV not working - granted the weather was rainy but when checking with other rooms, their TVs were working fine. They reset the box to no avail. Checked with the front desk and they sent a maintenance person to our room. The man was coughing in our unused bedroom which made me very uncomfortable. Not a great start to our experience thus far!

Laura P.

Yelp
We stayed two nights. One night in a captain suite and the second night in a captain deluxe that cost twice the cost. The captain deluxe smelled of mold , had a dated dirty shower and a bed so hard I had to sleep on the couch.

Donna D.

Yelp
This was our 3rd annual visit. VERY disappointed . Room 319 was a nice corner room. After 1st night and got NO sleep. The bed sagged in the middle, the fishing boats were outside our room & motors woke us up At 3:30, along with dogs barking on dock . The breakfast is no longer complimentary but $12. & we didn't bother eating there our 2nd morning . The bikes are crappy, seat spins while riding, tires wobble & bring reflective gear with you if you ride at night. It's pretty dark on the streets This was Last year's review : The omelettes to order are the highlight of breakfast ! The cook had a great personality too . I'm Gluten free so I was able to eat the omelettes, fresh fruit, & I toasted my own GF bread. For those not GF there was Had bagels, muffins, French toast. There is a nice bar, free bikes ( not the best condition but heck - free). Nice pool, we took the sunset cruise $89 each person which is located on the property. Room service for dinner two nights - yummy and prompt! Fridge, coffeemaker, hairdryer, bathrobes all in room

Yelp
St. Michaels harbor Inn is absolutely amazing. My husband and I come here often for a getaway and we never want to leave. I took him for his 30th birthday and we got the captain suite. Speechless. It was amazing. The staff, the rooms and all around vibe are immaculate. We used the shuttle service which was very helpful! We also did the sunset cruise I highly recommend that through Patriot Cruises. Unbelievable experience. Captain Brian is the best!! Cannot wait to come back to the Harbor Inn!

Yelp
We stayed the weekend of 10/17/2020 for our 1 year wedding anniversary. At $469.00 a night we expected much more than what we received. From our arrival to our departure it was far from luxurious as described. We also received a basic I'm sorry you weren't pleased with your stay. You decide from the photos.

Ashley S.

Yelp
We stayed in a renovated room and it was very nice. The hotel itself was a little outdated but it was still nice. The restaurant in the hotel is pretty good and a good place to go after all the stores have closed and you are in need a quick bite to eat.

W E.

Yelp
Stayed here for three days in the queen suite on the first floor. Great views, the patio has a bench and a table with two chairs to sit at. The suite was large enough for two dogs and my wife and I. There are some dated looking issues (drapes are worn) and the kitchen area has really old wood cabinets (they do not open) in the rooms, but this an independent hotel who does not probably have a massive cash flow like the big brands. They are working on replacing the roof which seemed more important than worrying about a throw carpet. Totally agree. If you can look past that, the beds are comfortable and living space is fine. I thought the two ladies at the front desk were very nice and the shuttle driver could not have been cooler. The bar offers alot of specialty drinks even though I stuck to the basics. Bartenders were fine but not friendly. The food was fair, but we only had apps and went out the other nights. Overall, great location and decent stay. If you are expecting a boutique experience, not for you. Laid back attitude and take the dogs - very much the place

Yelp
We stayed Sunday through Tuesday this week. This was our first trip to the area so we took a shot with the Harbour Inn. The location is good if you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of town and don't mind a short walk to the shops and restaurants. It took us about 10 minutes each way, though they offer a free shuttle or bikes if you prefer. Our driver was great and very accommodating. We mostly enjoyed walking the route to town, which runs along the harbor and surrounding neighborhood. We had a double queen suite including an additional room with a sofa and kitchenette, it was a bit like a one bedroom apartment. Having a small fridge and sink was nice. Our room was recently renovated and well maintained, though each room is a bit different. The ground floor rooms have sliders with access to the marina, so you can sit outside on provided chairs and boat watch, or walk the brick path to see the bay view. Overall, the property was well maintained but you could tell it has history. Its not a newly built property so you get the local character. We enjoyed the charm, and that's why we came to St. Michael's anyway. The pool was a good spot to cool off daily, with plenty of tables, seating, and lounge chairs both around and in the pool. We talked with several guests throughout our stay which added to the experience. Given the property is on the harbor you also get to enjoy the boats coming and going, as well as picturesque sunsets. Given there isn't a beach on the island, we felt the pool was a good choice when you return from town or want to unwind. We wouldn't have enjoyed our stay as much without it. The inside bar on the main floor was small but they do have other bars that are open air. There weren't a lot of guests, so the other bars weren't really in use when we were there. You have choices, and you do get great scenery. It's was 94 and humid, so we stayed inside mostly. We met a number of people and enjoyed plenty of conversations. We even chose to meet several couples there the next night. While we didn't eat at the restaurant others we met did, they were happy with their meals. With your stay you also have access to complimentary coffee all day in the gift shop. It's not gourmet coffee shop brew but if you don't want to walk to town for a cup it's a nice option. I can say the staff was friendly and hardworking, so we felt good giving tips to the people taking care of us. Overall we were happy with our choice. You can spend less, or more at other properties. If you want more luxury, you can always spend $500+ elsewhere if that's your preference. We felt the location on the water and charm was worth the room rate. We plan to return again and enjoy this location in the future.

Yelp
The Inn is located in the charming town of St. Michael's. I think the inn is a special place with some execution issues. However, it has a lot of potential. The inn itself is nice, if a bit run down. My wife and I looked at each room carefully before booking and based on the photos decided on the the skipjack suite. The reason we picked it is because we had dreams of sipping coffee by a fire in the morning. We tried to turn on the fireplace on our first night and couldn't. We immediately went to the phone to call the front desk but there was no directory anywhere near the phone or in the entire suite. We dialed 0 thinking it would ring in the front desk but to no avail. No one answered. We let it go and decided to call back in the morning if we still could not figure it out. The next morning we fiddled a bit with the controls, nothing. We called downstairs and they promptly sent someone to check it out because "that unit is a little temperamental since it is original to the building". Ok, no problem. Unfortunately, the attendant could not get it to work either and she said she would call maintenance. They never came during our stay and we left the inn without using the fireplace. Normally, that would be fine, but we had picked that suite expressly for that feature. In my opinion, all features should be in working order or that should be expressly stated at check-in. I understand that these things happen but there was no response from the inn. They just sort of let it go. The inn has a happy hour with free wine and champagne. I enjoyed a cup of hot apple cider, which was nice because it was pretty cold the evening we stayed at the inn. They also had some cookies out during this happy hour but they were stale, so could probably provide something a bit fresher. The inn also includes a continental breakfast. I believe this is covered by the "resort" fee. The breakfast is pretty basic. Again, here, there are some execution issues. There were dirty plates, a broken toaster (so a line formed behind the only working one), and stale bread, bagels, and biscuits. There is an omelet station but the omelets are very small. The person that runs that station ran out of eggs thereby creating a lengthy line. To pass the time the attendant engaged in some small talk and banter. Again, very nice, warm, and inviting but some execution issues here too. The attendant asked me where I was visiting from and I said "Baltimore". To that the attendant said, "I think you all have a new name....murderland!" This was extremely awkward and I didn't really know how to respond. While the information may be true and I understand that Baltimore has a certain reputation.... it is not a pleasant form of conversation to engage in while one is waiting for their omelet. There was a ten minute conversation about how awful Baltimore was. It made me feel uncomfortable and the attendant engaged another guest in the conversation as well. My wife and I felt a bit like we were put to defend ourselves for living in Baltimore but all we really wanted was two omelets and pleasant small talk. We ate and got the heck outta the inn. Again, the spirit of the attendant and intention was to be sort of funny and pleasant but the execution was anything but. In general, the inn would benefit from a bit of an overhaul. The main areas are all clean but a bit dated. The air smells a bit stale and musty. Again, not a big deal depending on the price point but given that this place goes for over $500 in the summers, patrons will likely expect a bit more from the main areas. In terms of the rooms, there is little information regarding what is available to guests. There is no "hotel book" where you have basic information about the inn or the surrounding area. We didn't even know how to use basic components in the room or call down to the front desk with the phone in the room. I am not sure if there is room service at this inn, for example. I am not sure at what times the on-site restaurant is open. Overall, the setting of the inn is lovely. We felt relaxed waking up to chirping birds and the water. However, there seems to be a lack of leadership at the managerial level to oversee the day to day operations of the inn. A little tightening up would make this place a knock out! We payed $189 a night for our suite because it is still low season but we know it goes for upwards of $500. Unfortunately, the services at the hotel are not on par with this price tag but we felt OK given the price we had paid. However, we still expected a bit more, especially since there is a resort fee. I am not sure what the resort fee covers during the winter/cold months because the pool is not available, the bikes are pretty old, and the breakfast is on par with a Holiday Inn Express.

Yelp
The people that work here are very nice. The view is fabulous. The bed was comfortable. The room was very dirty. They really need to redo all of the rooms. Old dirty carpet...really old everything.

Yelp
Stayed for a 3 night anniversary weekend. Place is very friendly and ok. We had a king suite in B section. Had balcony but no sun ever hit it so if you want sun stay in A . Huge living room and kitchen area but only had a coffee maker, no paper goods, no plates, no silverware ! Did have wine glasses and coffee cups . It had mini refrigerator also. You need to tell them if you need room cleaned or more towels, toilet paper etc . Pool area nice , restaurant was still getting it together from a fire and didn't have much to offer. Hotel also dated but it looks like they are working on that . Also lot gets over booked so recommend taking their free car service into town or walk! It's a good walk but not too bad . Also nights are quiet everywhere so be ready to sleep early!! Enjoyed it.

Yelp
We paid for a 2 night stay and left after one night. The food was awful.. im suprised that I can get better crabcakes in baltimore than here. Very bland seafood. Burger was good. View was nice the first night but was quickly skewed due to boats docking right outside our room, which also made for very little privacy. Breakfast was just as bad as dinner. The swimming pool was right next to where the outside seating for the restaurant was, so we didn't even feel comfortable swimming because we didnt want to be near a bunch of people eating. There was also nothing to do in town other than shop. Very disappointed for the price we paid.

Yelp
Nice room. Very clean. We stayed in a jacuzzi room and it was very nice. We had a toilet that didn't work but they fixed it immediately. Staff was very friendly. Pool is great! Pool bar and sitting by the water was just what we needed.

Yelp
The staff is great and the rooms are old but OK. The food though is just awful. Breakfast was served as a buffet and was ice cold. We have been here for two days now and every single meal is worse than the last. When you pay $200.00 for room service you would normally expect the food to be somewhat edible. I've stayed it worse places but they were no where this experience expensive. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Yelp
Stayed here one night with my boyfriend. We treated ourself to the ocean-view jacuzzi king suite which came to a total of $300. The room was decent sized but did not include any renovations or anything fancy. It was pretty basic. The jacuzzi was nice but a little small for two people. I think the room was overpriced and next time would prefer to stay somewhere else. The hotel is right on the water which provides you with a beautiful view. The hotel provides complimentary breakfast which is nice. We ate outside on the patio and had good service. As for check in, we were not able to check into 4:00pm. We went to the hotel around 2:00pm but they said it was too early and the room was not available yet. The check out time is 11:00 am which was a little early.

Yelp
Nice location. Hotel staff very friendly, and they have bikes to ride for free. Maybe should have tried a room with a water view, cause the basic room is pretty rough. Pretty old and minimal. Bathroom need renovated. Old tile, cracked sink, etc. If you want plush comfort, don't go with basic room. We called to make reservation and they said they won't do anything less than 3 nights. We then went online and booked one night only on their website. This is kinda shady to customers. Will stay somewhere else next visit.

Yelp
With beautiful views of the water, this Inn has it all! We decided to visit the quaint St. Michaels Island over the weekend and we are so glad we did. We stayed at St. Michaels Harbour Inn. We rented the "Captains Suite", which had one bedroom with a door to the patio and a living area, also with a sliding glass door to the patio. The suite overlooked the majestic harbour. There was a separate sitting area next to a small bathroom. The room was nice, but nothing I would consider to be spectacular. The Inn has its own "driver", who drove guests wherever they wanted to go on the island and then picked them up. I loved that service! There was an upstairs restaurant with mediocre food at best. On the ground floor of the Inn was a pub that was hopping! I believe they had karaoke that night (we didn't make it there). The one thing that was an eye sore was the old furniture piled on top of one another, sitting in the hallways. Yuck! They may have had renovation plans, but they should really put their junk in storage or in the trash. If I were to visit St. Michaels Island again, I would choose a more spectacular resort, but that does not mean this Inn was a bad one. We had a great time!

Yelp
The view was breathtaking from our our balcony room and the square footage was a plus, aside from that there are no other positives to this experience. The room is very outdated and the bathroom was awful, shower curtain was full of mildew, the shower had black mildew stains all over the floor, black striped vertical stains on the mirrors and the toilet had similar stains in the bowl. Carpeting was stained, faded and not fully vacuumed. It felt so unclean that we left early this morning because we just weren't comfortable showering there. The lobby, elevator and hallway carpets were dirty, faded and appear to be decades old. Extremely disappointed and severely overpaid $325. Clearly the website photographer did a phenomenal job as those pictures are depicting an entirely different experience.

Yelp
We stayed here last weekend and it was a good time. We found a good seasonal deal for $99 a night (plus 10% tax and $20 resort fee each day). We stayed in Room 303. It almost took our breaths away when we first entered the room since we weren't expecting anything spectacular. Our bed faced the floor-to-ceiling windows directly overlooking the marina. Crab and Claw restaurant is right across the water (although it was closed for the season). There was a bathtub right there in the back of the room (and another one in the bathroom). Of course we had to take advantage of it for a bubble bath. The inn provides bath services that include a bottle of champagne and rose petals in the tub, but we just went out and bought our own champagne, strawberries, and bubble bath. The tub also had massage jets. They will also bring ice up to the room if requested. We got wine glasses, silverware, and a bottle opener for our needs. On Saturday night we also requested a shuttle to take us to Sherwood's Landing for dinner. Everything was really smooth. Breakfast was lacking a bit. All they had were bagels, croissants, yogurt, packaged oatmeal, fruits, and of course coffee and orange juice. Would've liked some meats (ham, bacon, etc) and eggs. I think they also have free bike rentals, but we decided to skip that since it was pretty chilly the whole weekend and St. Michaels is such a small town that we could almost walk anywhere.

Yelp
How I heard of this place: We were in search of a weekend getaway in St. Michaels without paying an arm and a leg for our accommodations. This one came highly recommended on Trip Advisor and became our new favorite diggs in St. Michaels. Type of cuisine: "The Harbour Lights Restaurant provides guests with an elegant experience overlooking the Miles River and St. Michaels Harbor...The Club Room offers a relaxing atmosphere for you to enjoy delicious cocktails, appetizing small plates and beautiful views of the harbor." Ambiance: The coziness that makes up the comfort and cushy space the Harbour Inn calls the Club Room is immediately felt upon entering the windowed door from the lobby. Hardwood floors, fluffy leather couches and a soft, amber glow in the lighting, even with the natural lighting streaming through the uncovered windows from the blue sky and deep, dark waters of the Eastern Bay. What I ordered: Our massages ended and we were all hungry - despite brunch and our pending dinner reservations at Pascal's. Rather than making the decision to eat upstairs or down, we enjoyed both! In the Club Room, even though the menu looked small, we easily found numerous dishes worth sampling. We narrowed it down to two: Baked Crab Pretzel ($12.50), a pretzel French stick topped with a crab salad and melted cheddar cheese. Panko Crusted Fried Oysters ($9.50), a generous helping of eight served with pickled cucumbers and red onions and Old Bay spiked remoulade. What I loved: The remoulade, the pretzel, the melted cheddar and the crispy fried oysters. It was all delicious and would be welcome a second time! Why I loved it: The obvious reason to love the Club Room: lounge-like couch seating while enjoying hot appetizers and watching a PGA tour on the framed big-screen television, beautiful scenery looking out over the Bay and chit-chatting with our English proprietor. Cost: High ($8.50 - $12.50 per Club Room mini plate)

Yelp
Superior Staff! Beautiful, Modern, Large Rooms facing beautiful Nautical Views of the Harbor. The whole place has a modern, nautical theme. Free Shuttle to downtown cafe's & shops. Daily continental breakfast. Rooms are TASTEFULLY appointed, with High Ceilings and Jacuzzi's. You will be facing the Marina, and looking directly at the shipworks at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, which I STRONGLY suggest visiting. There are outdoor decks, pool, restaurant, bar & spa onsite. There is also a workout room. The bar, pool & deck are closed for the season, however, Their Sister Restaurant "The Bistro at St.Michaels" is a short shuttle ride to town. They offer Upscale Dining with an extensive Wine List. My Choice for a weekend winter escape! No Crowds! Shopping, Cafes, Museums, Pubs & Saloons, all with now crowds! ENJOY! CHEF GARY CURRY

Yelp
We use the Jacuzzi room for a getaway night for just us. Great view of the harbor and great complementry breakfast.

Yelp
Stayed at St. Michaels Harbour Inn for a quick getaway. The room had a private balcony (very spacious) with a view of the marina. It was a peaceful and beautiful spot. The view was idyllic. The room was a little old but was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. It had all the amenities you would expect. Breakfast was included in the package and it was a pleasant, unexpected surprise to see the wide variety of breakfast options. It left us stuffed and ready for the day ahead. There was ample parking and a free shuttle to the historic areas. The neighborhood was beautiful- totally walkable.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay at the Harbor Inn. We did the friends package for our anniversary which included spa and dinner package. The spa gets booked fast so make ahead of time but loved the spa. After our couples massage, we enjoyed the multi jet showers. We used our dinner credit at the grill and the mussels were excellent, we also had apple crumble and lemon parfait. Alcohol was also included in the dinner voucher so that was a plus, gratuity could be used with the spa voucher too. Our room was nice and would defiantly come here again. The hotel also has complementary bikes and a shuttle to town.

Yelp
I want to start out with listing the things I did enjoy about the hotel before I dive into the disappointing aspects. To start off, the view is wonderful, right on the marina and the hotel is very well located, fairly centrally in town. The issues the hotel has all boil down to management. The first, most notable aspect is the cleanliness of all of the common areas and rooms. The rooms are empty and uninviting. Our shower still had hairs and grime from the previous guests and there was a lingering smell in the rest of the room probably caused by the soaking wet carpet near the master bedroom. My main complaint revolves around the complimentary breakfast (if you can call it that) The tables were all still dirty and there were dirty plates stacked on the floor near the omelet station. Different guests in the breakfast hall had to request clean plates 4 separate times until the 2 overworked employees finally brought a small stack, but not before complaining of the guests under their breath. The actual breakfast selection was abysmal. Old soggy waffles, no milk for the cereal and cold eggs were just some of the main issues. They also had the bright idea to place the omelet station in this small, cramped room causing several guests to flee to the outdoor balcony in the summer heat in order to escape the smoke. Overall this hotel experience has been incredibly disappointing and that is elevated by the price we paid to stay here. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs, but seeing as there aren't many other options in this price range, you might be stuck.

Yelp
We thouroghly enjoyed our stay and the Staff was extremely pleasant. The Shuttle was a very nice amenity. The Buffet Breakfast was great and the views were spectacular! The Spa was wonderful! Our room was very cozy but updating is definitely needed throughout and that is the ONLY reason I couldn't give this a 5 star rating.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon...terrible hotel. We found a dirty diaper under our bed, told the staff and they said "eewwww that's terrible" and then kept doing whatever they were doing. Didn't even phase them. No apology. St. Michaels is a beautiful place, but this "inn" is not! We also expected there to be a spa, as advertised but no spa was open. I'm actually writing this review 1 year later because I totally forgot until my wife and I brought it up today and joked about what an awful experience it was! At least we can laugh about it...

Yelp
My husband and I just spent a couple of days at this beautiful inn. It was an absolutely wonderful stay. Our room was directly on the water and we spent hours watching the boats sailing in and out of the harbor. The pool (complete with indoor/outdoor bar service) was perfect: nice seating and in-pool lounge chairs, all with views of the marina and water. The complimentary made-to-order breakfast was fantastic and service was on point. The inn is within walking distance of the local winery, distillery, brewery, and all the neat shops/restaurants St. Michaels has to offer. We absolutely loved it and cannot wait to go back. A truly wonderful boutique hotel! Thank you so much for making our stay delightful!

Yelp
Stayed at Harbour Inn for Oyster fest 2019, our third year and last. The Inn is looking tired and run down. All the small little perks have been stopped cookies at check in (my husbands favorite), no free breakfast although they still advertise it they booking.com. Our room has wallpaper that was peeling, very dusty, baseboards have not had a good cleaning for years. The front desk staff were cold and when questioned about why breakfast was not included as stated in reservation argued with us that we were wrong and I had it in writing. Than I was overcharged by over 500.00 and had to write a letter to management to get it corrected. I am still amazed that they offered me a 50.00 credit for breakfast when the gentlemen said he would charge us 15.00 or day per person so if you do the math that's 60.00. I see the Harbour Inn as a thing if the past in St Michaels so many other places treat you like royalty for a fraction of the price.

Yelp
Docked over night at the marina, just one night. We pulled in on a Thursday afternoon in late September. It's very nice to have an experienced dock hand there to greet you, not a teenager. As a matter of fact, all I did was hand the lines over and the dock hand he did the rest, even helped set out bumpers. When we departed the next day we were treated to the same great service. Bikes, pool, shuttle, and breakfast are included in your dock fee. Breakfast includes an omelette station, the chef was very good. The shower facilities are good. They're clean and adequate size. Although you do have to wait for the water to get hot (there is a sign warning guest of this) if you're the first to use them that day or evening. Nice place to stop when don't want to be on the hook.

Yelp
What a lovely hotel right on the water! The room was huge and luxurious and the bed was super comfortable! Booked myself a spa treatment at the hotel and don't want to leave! Will be recommending this place to my parents and friends!

Yelp
Overall, our experience was full of misinformation. First we were told the Bistro was open on the weekend we were there - Wrong, it opened the Monday after the weekend. The TV listing in the room listed all the channels offered, the problem was they subscription they have at the Inn only includes a small sub-set of the channels. We were told many of the restaurants were open, not true, most were closed for the season. We were told the hotel has Wi-Fi, well that was partially true, it was so bad it could not retain a connection. Lastly a gratuity was added to the bill, i found it interesting. A gratuity is defined as: is a sum of money customarily tendered to certain service sector workers for a service performed or anticipated. Tendered is the operative, it does not say levied. We went to the St. Michael's Winery and were over charged for tasting. SO i think the town''s motto should be changed from the town that fooled the British to the Town that fools the tourists, at least once.
