St Michael's Manor Hotel

On my Birthday we had full Afternoon Tea at St Michael’s Manor Hotel. Whilst the car park was busy we found a space next to the lovely garden and frozen lake. The staff were friendly throughout. We were served by Nisha who was most helpful, informative and polite. The Teas that we had were very tasty. The different sandwich selection was also very nice with excellent fillings. The home made scones were also delicious. The cakes to end the occasion were scrummy as was the candle lit brownie I also received. Thank you all.

We stayed as a couple in November 2024 for a last-minute getaway and babymoon, and our experience exceeded all expectations. From housekeeping to reception and the serving staff, every team member was exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and professional. Dinner in the restaurant was an absolute highlight—easily a 10/10. We’ll be enthusiastically recommending it to our friends and family. The hotel’s holiday decorations added a magical touch to the already wonderful ambiance. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our visit for a few extra nights. A special mention goes to Mia at reception, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. She, along with the rest of the incredible team, is a true credit to the hotel.

We booked a birthday lunch for my mums 89th. From start to finish it was amazing. Booking was simple and the staff were quick to respond. On the day we were greeted cheerily by the lady at reception. We were served by Mark and Ben. They were absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were polite and courteous at all times. We really appreciated them and all of their hard work. They are a credit to the hotel. The food was good, hearty mains dishes. We will definitely be back.

We visited for Sunday lunch to celebrate my mums 89th birthday. It was such a lovely venue with the most amazing staff members. Mark and Ben, who served us, were absolutely spot on. They did everything right to accommodate our party of 20. We will definitely be returning. Perhaps this time, we will try the hotel and have a stop over... Thank you to all.x

We held our father's celebration of life event at the hotel last week with an afternoon tea for 40 guests in The Orangery. The support we received from the events team from our first contact was exemplary with special mention to both Ussha and Christina. Every detail we had discussed was in place on the day, and the service and care we received from Muhammad, Hepy, and Nisha was absolutely first class. We would highly recommend and cannot thank the team enough.

Met with friends for an excellent lunch. I had a very well cooked Hake. All dishes beautifully presented. We were served by Hepy, a delightful, courteous waitress. The hotel is well placed for the town and cathedral and there is plenty of parking.

Had a lovely afternoon tea with my wife for her 50th and the staff couldn't have been more helpful especially Maxk and Hepy. At the end of the afternoon tea my wife was presented with a happy birthday treat! A lovely way to spend a few hours with lovely gardens to walk round as well. Well reccomended

The hotel is in a beautiful area, surrounded by historical places and authentic buildings. I stayed with my partner in this hotel just for one night but it was enough to feel the magical atmosphere of this place and I am sure that in the spring it’s even better! The nature around and the design of the building is gorgeous! I understand why people get married here! The staff is the nicest, really helpful & patient. The breakfast is very nice & the experience itself of sitting in the dining room and looking at the garden through the windows, it for the first time for me that I am experiencing something like this. Really recommended! Really recommended!

Went to this beautiful hotel with 2 girlfriends for Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. A classy, traditional hotel meal with great service. 3 courses for £30 and it was well worth it. Had the roast pork, which was above average, but not amazing. Ordered the chocolate pecan tart for dessert and it was perfection! ORDER IT. You're welcome. Overall a lovely retreat for a girly Sunday lunch accompanied with a wine.

I went with a work colleague and our spouses, and we had a wonderful evening. I highly recommend for a meal when you feel like treating yourself.
