I’ve heard good things about the beer and food here — and yes it is in an airport.

Beer and food on a tarmac! Yes please! The beer is good. And the food was good. Had dinner with my wife and 20 something kids. Prices were reasonable. I’d go back.

I love St. Nicholas brewery's beers and cocktails a lot. And it was my first time in this location. It's nice and fashionable, no complaints. They even put fresh flowers on the table💐 They even put the bicycles on hanging from the ceiling as in Du Quoin location. But I love the atmosphere in Du Quoin one more, but it is just my personal matter of taste and preferences. The service was very attentive and of course it's very clean out there.

Yep, this place absolutely kills it in every single regard. Airport food usually sucks and usually disappoints, but St. Nick is the only one worth your time. The restaurant is easy to find and is set back in the main airport building. The main dining room is sizeable and opens up onto the airfield for additional seating. The weather has been terrible, so I haven't tried it, but I can't wait to sit outside and watch the planes. The service is always stellar, and they absolutely fill my diet coke addiction with constant refills. Everything they serve from the burger, the breakfast sandwich, the nachos, the fries, the queso (it's Alfredo, not queso), the vinegar aioli, and the surprisingly life-affirming Mahi Mahi blows me away each time. I tried them once and ended up eating there 5-6 times in two weeks. Visiting family has also loved coming here repeatedly. I'm a fan and will always be a customer ad long as I live in the area.

Update: most of the burgers can be replaced with black bean patty for vegetarians. We still love the food there The location is great. Good ambience. Drinks and food were great. A couple of options for vegetarians. I wish there were more. It took an hour for our food to come. Other than that, we liked everything else.

Overall the food was fantastic. The marriage of flavors was just perfect. The wait for the food on the other hand was less than stellar. The food outweighed the 2 hour lunch. I went with the shrimp and grits. Flavor on flavor. My wife went with the tres tacos. My son had the poutine. My daughter had the loaded nachos with chicken. My grandson had a side of fries and bacon. I snagged a fry. They were really tasty.

I have been three times in the last month. I’ve been to brunch twice and once for dinner. The food has been excellent as well as the service. The atmosphere is super cute and trendy, doesn’t feel like you’re in Southern Illinois. I had the breakfast tacos, the $100 burger, the beignets and the French toast breakfast. Great kid menu and the drink/beer list is fantastic.

Honestly, we didn't even know where this place was other than word of mouth from St. Nicholas' sister location the Landmark in Chester. However, we sought it out and found it at the airport between Carbondale/Murphysboro. The location is really cool. The venue looks brand new. The environment was really laid back, but professional. The waitresses were spot on and friendly. The manager constantly made the rounds and spoke politely with the patrons making sure everything was good. The food was delicious. I snagged a Reuben sandwich had a flight of brews. We will definitely venture her again when going through the area. We had a chance to sit outside, but it was just too hot for me, but again, the venue is really nice and you should go and check it out. Kid friendly and I noticed the crowd seemed to be a more mature one with a family atmosphere.

Cute little hidden gem at the airport! Go even if you don’t have a flight! Great interior with a big glass window to watch the planes. Our food took a little long but our server Miriam was super sweet! We’ll definitely be back!

Yelp
If you're looking for a unique dinner experience with some fun views, this is the place for you! The atmosphere is welcoming with friendly staff eager to recommend their favorites and help in any way they can. The spacious outdoor patio is perfect for enjoying a day with friends watching planes come and go while enjoying some delicious food and drinks! I had their elote dip and pork chop and it was some of the tastiest food I have ever had. My only complaint was the grits had zero flavor to them. Everything else was absolutely amazing! I highly suggest checking this unique dining experience out. Especially if you know any plane lovers!

Yelp
We visited for lunch on a gloomy Saturday. I was sad it wasn't the right weather for the patio, because it looks very nice! We did not have a wait and the host was very friendly. My husband ordered the taco of the week, which was a buffalo chicken taco. I had the barria chicken tacos. Both are served with chips and salsa. We added queso, which I highly recommend. We swapped a taco so we could try both kinds. The meal was delicious and the service was great! Parking is easy, right out front. Bathrooms are very clean and so was the restaurant. We will definitely be back when we can sit outside!

Yelp
Pretty good food. I'm so glad they have some interesting vegetarian options. They do like to put bacon on everything tho, so gotta pay attention when I order. I haven't liked any of their beer yet but they have good bar options. Decent service, and we didn't have to wait long for our food

Yelp
Barry and his daughter have presented a great menu and service for months since we moved here October 2024. We love the place and have high hopes for it's success! The venue and general vibe has been excellent... until recently. After SEVERAL trips out the last few months eating at the bar, we've had occasional questions on the bill (*which came out without the itemized list of charges typically included as per standard practice). When I asked the bartendress for that detail (this last time we visited), she literally accused me of being "rude" to her... after asking for an itemized bill (?) Suffice to say, this is the THIRD time we've been served by this SAME bartendress and her demeanor has been "shifty" and not at all customer oriented and actually became worse with each visit. But this last time was 100% unacceptable and we are really sad.

Yelp
A great new addition to the St. Nicholas family. A different atmosphere and menu than the other locations with some delicious options and the same great beer! Friendly and accommodating staff and legit bartenders! Try the cocktails if you're not a beer drinker...you won't be disappointed. I love the cauliflower tacos and corn dip! To top it off, the patio is so fun. Come during the day and you have a front row seat to some pretty cool airport action.

Yelp
It's a shame to leave a harsh review to such a unique place with good food. I've visited multiple times and each time had the same problem: the kitchen is very slow and you should be prepared to wait 40-60 minutes for your food. The servers are often kind but inattentive and openly admit the kitchen is poorly managed. Our server today was too scared of the kitchen to ask about our food after we had waited 40 minutes. The food arrived with a few mistakes, and the manager came over very apologetic about the whole thing and offered us dessert as an apology. It was a singular piece of pie for a table of 7. I enjoy the food a lot. But I can't feel comfortable recommending this place without a huge asterisk until the kitchen gets sorted out. A tip: it seems like the kitchen gets burgers out pretty quickly. If your plate has more than one cooked item, it seems that's too complex for them to manage effectively. So maybe just stick to burgers and sandwiches if you go.

Yelp
A friend and I went to check this place out this week. I'm not to big on chain restaurants so I thought about going to Midland Inn. They haven't got their hours straightened out since the pandemic so they were closed as usual when I can go there. I'm sorta glad they were because that made us think of this place instead. First of all, we were a little confused of where to park and go do a little more signage for a new person would be nice but we figured it out soon enough. As soon as we walked in we could smell all the goodness coming from the kitchen. The restaurant/brewery was very clean and nicely decorated. We decided to sit at the bar so we can watch the planes, takeoff and land. The bartender waiting on us was lovely and very accommodating. It was half-price margaritas on Tuesday so that's what we ordered. This is no margarita mix. The bartender uses only fresh ingredients, and the rim of the margarita is done with simple syrup and granulated salt. It was one of the most superb margaritas I've ever had. For an up charge of one dollar you could make it a flavor other than lime they had many available like strawberry spicy, mango, etc. I ordered an entrée of three tacos. It was good, but I absolutely loved the chips and salsa that came with it. I meant to ask the bartender if the salsa was housemade because it was delicious and those chips I swear I think they may have been sprinkled with crack, because they were so addictive. My friend ordered the $100 Wagyu beef burger. (Really only $24) I have to say it was the best burger I've ever had or one of the best I've had in a really long time. She said the fries she ordered with it was great too. We stayed for another margarita because they were half price (you know, girl math) and watched the planes take off for awhile after settling up the bill. We will definitely be back and be telling of our great experience there.

Yelp
St Nicholas Brewey at the SIUC airport is a fantastic restaurant. The food was excellent, service was great, and the patio is amazing. Getting to watch the airplanes take off while you eat is phenomenal. I recommend anyone with a college student to take advantage of this great venue and atmosphere.

Yelp
Dirty poor service low lighting didn't have stuff that's on the menu servers were avoiding customers a shit show

Yelp
I don't live in the area, but when I visit, I always stop in here to eat. Everything I've ordered to eat has been fantastic! There's a nice mix of flavors, and everything has been cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend it for those that like a mix of flavors, good beer, or a nice atmosphere.

Yelp
We had a group of 30 people and 1 server. Our orders were sent it a week in advance besides our drink orders. We get the checks and she said we can only do 8 check's instead of split it by families. We paid separately at the bar and our server GOT FIRED right then and there! She was absolutely amazing! Poor girl.
