An old monument with some nice views of the city near Hfen city district. An elevator which takes you up the tower. Significant history attached to it. The ticket involves an underground museum. The museum has toilets. Good place to see & visit while exploring Hamburg

I really enjoyed visiting St. Nicolai in Hamburg. The views from the tower are stunning and offer a great panorama of the city. The building itself, though in ruins, is very impressive and has a fascinating history. Highly recommended if you’re interested in architecture or history.

There’s an elevator that brings you up to see the view at 5 euros. The memorial is a place with rich history. The church was bombed during World War II and you can stand within its remains. Some of the walls can still be seen. A humbling reminder of the painful past and the lives disrupted.

An incredible piece of history. The grounds themselves are open to the public all hours of the day, only the tower and crypt require a fee/pass. We arrived quite late in the day, we enjoyed the views from the tower using the very quick lift and returned on another day to take some photos in daylight which we were pleased about. Definitely recommended, so well preserved, lots of energy of remembering the fallen. A special place.

Very interesting church/memorial with a rich history. The viewing platform at a height of 76 metres is just as amazing as the museum in the church crypt. The museum displays the very important history mainly during WWII in a very touching manner. The admission price is 6 euros for an adult.

Great experience. A sight to see, preserved WWII bombed out church. Amazing the steeple is still standing without the rest of the structure. Even has a lift in it that was not open when we visited, regret not being able to take in that view!

Very interesting and thought provoking museum underground with a lift to a vantage point in the church spire with excellent views over Hamburg. There are also pictures of the damage to the area around St. Nikolai after the bombing raids in 1943.

A must see in Hamburg for some astonishing views of the city! For the price of 5€ (student) you can visit the museum + go to the top of the tower. Well worth the price! You'll learn about the history of Hamburg during World War II and especially the importance that this church had for the locals and the allies that bombed the city.
