Boat Tours can be very expensive. The Ferry Lines are scenic enough to tour the Elbe, the ride is covered by the local transport ticket also by the Deutschland Ticket. Sit on the top deck when weather is nice and enjoy the views especially Elbstrand riding Line 62 which departs every 30 minutes.

Nice historical pier by the river where one can walk along to soak in the imagination of once busy Hamburg port and city. Lots of shops along here where you can get ferry tickets for short tour and sightseeing ride that takes you around the terminals or upriver depending on the operator and schedule. Nice to spend some time with the bigger ferry operators as smaller boats can be squeezy and uncomfortable.

Your general public transport ticket will also work for most regular boat rides. Try the open air upper deck for sunny days and if it's raining covered and the enclosed lower deck is best.

It's a shipping dock where different types of boat rides are available for the public. One can get a free ride on a particular boat with a Deutschland ticket. On the dock, there are many shops for souvenirs or fast food shops.

This lively waterfront area is perfect for a scenic walk, with its mix of historic piers and modern ferries. The views of the Elbe River, bustling port activity, and the iconic sight of ships passing under the bridges are worth the visit. Entry is free to the pier itself, and you could spend 1-2 hours wandering along the waterfront, stopping at the variety of cafes or hopping on a ferry for a harbour tour. Be sure to check the ferry times and landing bridges as each ferry offers different routes.

I strongly recommend taking the no. 72 ferry at Pier 2. You can enjoy a fantastic view in the open air and the stunning beauty of Elbphilhamonies.

Easy to get boat tour tickets at the pier. Tour is very interesting, can be quite cold if you sit on top. If english speaking only, bring your headphones as some tours are German and the English guide is through a mobile audio app.
