Lorenzo Gafa,  a prominent Maltese architect of the Baroque period. He was born around 1638–1639 and died in 1703. Lorenzo Gafa' is best known for designing several important churches and buildings in Malta, with his most famous work being the St. Paul's Cathedral in Mdina.
