St. Pete Meat & Provisions is a foodie’s dream and a place I always enjoy visiting. They offer a wide selection of meats, including unique and harder-to-find cuts that are perfect whether you’re planning a casual grill night or preparing something special for a more elevated meal at home. It’s the kind of shop that inspires you to try something new in the kitchen. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and happy to help you find the right cut for what you’re making, along with solid advice on preparation and cooking methods. Whether I’m firing up the grill or working on a special-occasion dish, their guidance has always been spot-on. If you appreciate quality ingredients and expert help to get the most out of them, this is a must-stop in St. Pete.

SO YUMMY! This place has made it to the top of my list as being the best butcher shop in the greater tampa/st.pete area. The inside is very nice and clean. Plenty of meats and cheeses to choose from. The employees know their stuff and can give good recommendations. They've now introduced me to my favorite meat of all time now. The Australian wagyu is *chefs kiss*. The prices are higher than I'm used to, but it reflects in the taste and quality of what you get. Totally worth it in my opinion! If you're a meat lover like I am, you don't want to miss out on this place! - I’m updating my review. It’s been about a year since I’ve been here, but I feel like it gets better each and every time I step foot in the door. The employees are super nice, and Joey went above and beyond to help me find the things that I needed. It was the only place I could find that sold premium artisanal soy sauce for a decent price too! I got the one he recommended as well as the Yuzu Ponzu soy sauce. I feel like it was an absolute gem find. This place has stayed top quality of both in customer service and quality of products. I’ll be honest, if you’re just looking for something that’ll do, try Publix. But if you’re looking for something extraordinary- go here.

If you are a foodie who likes creative culinary options to make at home, this little shop has sophisticated items to elevate your chef game! In house made sausages include your traditional Italian sausage but also chicken sausage, beef sausage and even blueberry maple breakfast sausage. Perfectly cut steaks of the highest quality including American Wagyu. The frozen exotic meats truly delight! Kangaroo, venison and ostrich. You can also find a small assortment of cheeses like goat Gouda and marinated meats like chicken wings. Olives, sauces, hummus, cheese and lots of nice accoutrements for charcuterie boards and entertaining.

A carnivores dream! Reminds me of the good old days when you went to a butcher instead of a grocery store, but more sophisticated and modern, and with a huge variety of fish, venison, wagyu, pork, chicken, and the list goes on. If it's not in the case, they have it in back. The majority of the meat is refrigerated but some things like fish are frozen. The filets, ribeyes and strips I had were excellent, with perfect marbling. Needless to say, if you want a custom cut, they will cut and trim to your heart is content. The only thing more enjoyable are the people who work here, like Corinne; she always helps settle those indecisive meal selections. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and helpful regardless of how much you think you know. So happy to have this place in my backyard.

I don't think there's a better butcher in all of Tampa Bay. The selection of meat is impressive, particularly the wagyu (Australian and Japanese). During the week, they offer various promotions; my favorite day is Marination Station Mondays. They offer a case in the back filled with various meats already marinated by the team in house. I've come to a point that I rarely prep my proteins since the flavors they use for the marinades are what I use at home or similar. Their main case shows all the premium cuts they offer, and the staff are friendly; they're willing to share their cooking secrets and even provide helpful tips if you're struggling with how to prepare a certain dish. They also offer a large variety of marinades, rubs, and cooking essentials which help elevate your weeknight cooking into something truly special. All in all, I can't score this place highly enough. From quality of service to quality of ingredients, all presented in an inviting manner, makes one feel like they've stumbled across something truly unique in a place like St Pete.

I went into St Pete Meat and Provisions expecting to buy some meat, but I walked out feeling like a certified carnivore! These guys are the absolute meat maestros. Need a ribeye cut with the precision of a diamond cutter? Done. Want your bacon sliced so thin it doubles as wrapping paper? Consider it handled. I asked them if they could cut my steak in the shape of a T-Rex, and they didn't even blink. They just asked if I wanted it medium-rare or Jurassic. They’ve got every kind of meat you can imagine – and some you probably can't. I mean, who knew kangaroo steaks were a thing? The staff is friendlier than a cow in a field of daisies. They know their stuff and will educate you on the fine art of meat selection and preparation. They'll even throw in a few dad jokes while you're there. I left not only with a perfect cut of beef but with an abdominal workout from laughing so hard. So, if you need meat cut to your exacting specifications or just a good laugh, hit up St Pete Meat and Provisions. These guys will meat your expectations and more!

Best place to get quality meat. Huge fan of their deals like wagyu Wednesdays, especially because it includes the wagyu house made jerky. Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well!

This is my MAHA steak market. They don't use crap when processing the various cuts of meat. Also make some ready to eat mashed potatoes and mac n cheese . The pricing is what you expect from a high end downtown store, but not unreasonable!

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help you choose the best cut for your next meal. Looking for certified Japanese Wagyu, or Dry Aged Prime steaks? How about adding some rubs to your collection of spices? This place has it all... even ground camel meat! So if you're looking to support a local place, while getting amazing cuts of meat, then you need to come check this place out!

I am hosting a wine tasting dinner with Osso Bucco that requires veal shanks. I called all around town and this location said "I will get it for you." And they did! Its a wonderful location of unique cuts of meats such as dry wagyu. It appears most are locally sourced. You need it most likely they will find it for you. Owned by David, Il Ritorno's chef so you will also find small individual meals. Excellent quality food finds here. Quite pricey yet worth it.

I'm a fan of supporting purveyors who care about the quality and life cycle of the animals they raise so I love the concept for the shop. But shout out to Corinne who helped me pick a cut of pork for my Thanksgiving meal. She was available to answer questions about the preparation and cut it to ease my serving needs. I ended up going with a bone-in rib roast and I can tell you it was the best pork I've ever had in my life! I went back in today for some steaks and purchased the housemade steak seasoning. Highly recommend!

Great spot, we just loaded up on some grass fed and grass finished beef! Nice selections this is more of a nose to tail shop so you may need to open a cookbook and see how to make something new especially if I beat you there and clean them out of rib eyes!! Great welcoming staff, call first if you are looking for something specific-

Outstanding. I could just stop now, but I'll elaborate. I've tried several items now and each was outstanding. First, the NY Strip steak. Mouth watering. Flavorful. Just the right amount of marbeling. The shishkibob was equally as good. And I just tried their red sauce with meat, and I'm drooling for more. If I lived here full time I would be a regular.

There are a few butcher shops in town we quite like, but if we're cooking for a special occasion, this is where we go. The vast majority, if not all of their products, are locally sourced, and all are high quality. They have some unique cuts that are hard to find elsewhere. It isn't cheap, and you could spend a lot of money here on products like dry-aged Wagyu if you so chose, but a lot of the cuts are very reasonable given the quality, such as the picanha. Looking for excellent meat products from people that are really knowledgeable about it? Look no further.

Very impressed with their local meat selection. However, something to note is that everything is not grass fed and grass finished but they do have some options!

First time visiting St Pete M & P. Sometimes I wonder about myself. Great store and great staff. Went with a prepared pork cutlet for dinner last night and maple breakfast sausage this morning. Both were excellent. Wife was trying to tempt me with other interesting items, Duck Fat in an aerosol can , but I resisted because I want to come back again soon. I need to pace myself with all the goodies.

I've been buying meat there for years. The quality is outstanding and the service is excellent. Places like St Pete Meats are what makes St Pete a special city. It is the best place to go for fillets, rib eyes and sausages. Humus and pesto are also amazing. Folks behind the counter are extremely helpful.

Consistently the best place to find beef in st pete. Our go to is the filets....pastas, sauces, and hummus are all outstanding. Quality is second to none

The service is unbelievable. They cut my steaks exactly how I like them. Their prices are even better than Publix and the quality is far better. They dry age their own meat. They are open every day. I catch them most evenings on my way home. Love their wagyu jerky too. Melts in your mouth. Cool place and lots of provisions to buy too.

Went there the other day. Thought it was gonna be some awesome find! But no, it's all over priced. Poor selection. Most of the Ribeyes are covered in fat and gristle... no thanks. How is this place even open?

Great selection of meats. You can order cuts that you can't get at the super market. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We like hanger and out side skirt. Can't get either cut at the super market. They also have cheeses, all sorts of game meats, BBQ sauces, rubs and aged beef.

Have been here 3-4 times now to pick up a variety of meats and every time I ask myself why didnt I just buy at Publix, Fresh Market, or Mazzaro's. Don't get me wrong it's great to have a local butcher shop but each time I've gotten home and cooked what Ive purchased I've been pretty disappointed in the quality for the price. I don't mind paying $8 for a half pound of bacon but when I open the package and it's nothing but 97% fat I'm pretty disappointed. I've also had seasoned steaks from here and they are legit good but again I feel I could get the same quality at of the other locations mentioned above. I wish them luck but will most likely not be purchasing meat from here again.

I love going to this place for my steaks! The guy that works there is so knowledgeable, and will not steer your wrong! Everything that he has recommended has been so tasty! Even grass fed NY Strips. I never eat grass fed because it just tastes different. Their grass fed steaks are amazing....so are their tomahawks!!

So glad to have a butcher in town that knows how each animal was raised, fed, treated and prepared. Meat consumption is part of the health of a healthy sustainable farm. Know your butcher. They also carry eggs, spices and prepared food.

Wonderful shop with excellent meat and had beautiful duck breast without special order! It was frozen, no problem for me, and the best quality I have ever purchased. Found a few extras too! If you grill, you'll want to be sure to check it out! Great rubs and sauces for your next barbecue.
