St Peter's Catholic Church

Visited church for brief period of prayer during cruise ship stop. Church was open for visitors and prayer. Free will love offerings accepted. The church was quaint and quiet. A little piece of home half a world away from home…

Heard mass on our last Sunday weekend in Akureyri. Met and socialize with some au pair young ladies and ate some desserts.

A small yet a beautiful church. I feel at home with the sense of comfort and safety.

Holy mass at 11AM every Sunday in the St Peter’s Catholic Church. This is very nice.

Schönes Bauwerk. Sie ist nach dem Heiligen Petrus benannt und zeichnet sich durch ihre roten und weißen Farben aus. Das Gebäude wurde 1912 errichtet und 1952 von der Kirche erworben. In den Jahren 1998 bis 2000 wurde es zur St. Peter’s Church umgebaut. Die Kirche ist immer für das private Gebet geöffnet.

Süße kleine katholische Kirche. Vielen Dank an den Pfarrer, das ich hier mein Ave Maria singend beten durfte.

Fiz uma viagem de aniversário pela Islândia e conheci essa linda igreja em Akureyri, para a glória do meu dia fui recebida pela irmã Bia que estava na porta e também é brasileira. Participei da missa super emocionada por estar ali e ao final as irmãs e o padre nos levaram para tomar um café junto e conversar um pouco. Foi a melhor experiência! Incrível!!!! Infelizmente não tenho o contato da irmã Bia e adoraria conversar com ela e manter essa amizade pra vida, no momento levo todos no meu coração e peço a Deus um dia poder voltar. Beijo enorme a todos Deus abençoe!
