Before the negatives, here are the postives. The cabin was cute, and we had a great view of the water. Unfortunately, only have of the grill worked, so it took forever to cook all the food we had. The customer service was great on the night of the 15th, but not great the next day. We had called in advance before booking, and asked if it was okay to have extra guests come and play volleyball with us for my birthday. We were told yes, as long as they left at 11 pm. We've had many family birthdays here before, but we still wanted to call in advance to make sure it was still okay before we booked. On the night of the November 15th, when we checked in, a lady at the office said to come back tomorrow and get any extra guest passes we needed, because we didn't know how many cars yet. She was very nice. We only got two that night. But we know we needed at least one more when the family that was going to stay in the cabin with us arrived. On Nov 16th, around 12pm, another lady who was working at the office got upset with us when we told her we needed guest passes for our guests, even the ones who were actually staying with us! She said we couldnt have anyone else come who wasn't staying the night at the cabin, even though the website states otherwise, and we called in advance to make sure we could have more come who weren't staying. She was very rude and short tempered to our family who went into the office, even though we were being kind and understanding. It put a lot of stress on us last minute because we had family coming from out of town, and we were told one thing, then another the next day. We usually love this KOA, have great experiences, and have no problem getting the passes we need. Our family didn't use any other amenities at the resort, only the volleyball court. We ended up having to chauffeur our family in and out of the KOA. I'm not sure if the lady at the office didn't know the policy or not, but she didn't have to be rude to us or our guests. We made the best out of it, let it go, and still had a great time with our family despite the issues!

Fantastic location in St Petersburg, Florida. The service staff is excellent and the bayou sites have all been redone. They are recovering quite nicely from our hurricanes last year. Great pool area and stocked market. Really reasonable off-peak prices. The bayou sites are nice and wide, bricked, nice outdoor furniture. The electric hookups have been put on pedestals, great idea! We love this place. We live in St Pete and we just bring the camper here for the weekend sometimes.

We stayed at the KOA this past weekend with family and had an amazing time — even without taking full advantage of all the campground amenities! The grounds were clean, peaceful, and beautifully kept. You could truly feel the calm from the moment you arrived. Everything was neat, quiet, and made us feel right at home. The staff was incredible — friendly, helpful, and made the check-in process super smooth. Even though we didn’t use the pool, hot tub, or rent bikes or kayaks, just being on-site was relaxing. The location is close to beaches like Madeira and Treasure Island, and you can easily drive to shops or restaurants nearby. We loved the deluxe cabin with AC and a private bathroom — clean, cozy, and perfect for our family. It felt like a mini retreat. Everything was truly perfect. Whether you’re an experienced camper or a first-timer, I 100% recommend this KOA — and we’re already planning to come back!

Perfect Cabin Getaway – Can’t Wait to go back! First time staying at KOA Holiday St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach was absolutely perfect! The cabin was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed — including comfortable 2 sets of bunk beds and a queen size bed, a kitchenette, and a private porch where we could relax with our morning coffee while watching the sunrise. The campground itself is beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of shade and well-maintained grounds. We loved taking advantage of the bike and kayak rentals. I did enjoyed the fire pit we had outside the cabin where my friend and I made delicious s’mores. It’s also just a short drive to Madeira Beach and other fun spots around St. Pete. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, and you can tell they really care about making guests feel welcome. A huge thanks and a huge shout out to Raquel who made sure we had an amazing experience. She not only make sure our cabin was immaculate at all times but she also provided us with useful information about places to visit around the area like John’s Pass, St. Petersburg Pier and War Veteran’s Memorial Park. This KOA has the perfect mix of nature and comfort, and it’s ideal for a group of friends, couples, families, or anyone looking to unwind in a cabin without roughing it. Highly recommend — I’m already planning my next stay!

Love this place have stayed here 2 times now .We are from Tennessee love the water sites and the staff are friendly. We always walk our 3 great Danes at night and Mikey was kind enough to take all our pictures in the big chair out front. The pool is warm and we bring our kayaks and get out in the water .

There were lots of activities such as the pool, kayaking, biking, playground, mini golf, fishing, and volleyball court! I enjoyed it, but we paid $500 for two nights and the beds weren’t even made? Maybe some courtesy water? I don’t know, renting the kayaks is $16/hr and the bikes are $60 for the day. The general store has tripled the price of everything. The place was cute but the prices of everything really is astonishing. Also, Brooklyn is AMAZING!

First time staying at this KOA. Very clean and quiet. A big thumbs up to all the staff. Not much interaction with them, but when we did, they were very nice, friendly, and informative. Pretty much located a short drive to all attractions. I even somehow forgot to pack my surge protector, and they tracked me down after we left the campground. Will see you all back in August.

The staff was very helpful & friendly. We had some issues with our travel trailer and a staff member came over and helped us. Great experience. Views/property is beautiful.
