Yelp
We liked the look of the place from the outside, which gave us, as first time visitors to Dallas, the impression we were going to a seafood bistro. But it's a large, comfortable bar/restaurant that houses collections of nautical/hunting trophies, pictures, bobble heads and other interesting memorabilia arranged in a very charming, eye catching way. Lots and lots of pictures from the owner's many travels and hunting trips which were really fun to examine.
We enjoyed our drinks (decent beers on tap) but really loved the tuna crostini, which was very fresh, flavorful and satisfying. Highly recommend the chicken wings (skip the lemon pepper ones, the buffalo spice is the way to go) and the lasagna was a generous portion of gooey, meaty yumminess.
What made our night though, was the warm and funny interactions with the bartenders that night, as well as the laid back friendliness of the other patrons. Travis and Stephen made sure our glasses were never empty, bought our son dessert and even gave us a couple of late night bars to check out had we been able to keep our night going after settling in at St. Pete's for the long haul. Despite the dent we put in their kitchen and kegs, our bill was so reasonable, I asked them to check their math. Guess I'm too used to Chicago prices. It's a great location for bar hopping or watching football or just grabbing a drink and some better than just bar fare.
