"The St. Regis Hotel (not affiliated with the St. Regis brand) won’t shock and awe you with glitz and glam, but it will seduce you with its historic charm, central downtown location, and attention to service. Pass through the carved stone entrance and enter a tastefully decorated lobby defined by light marble flooring and dark wood paneling. The footprint isn't massive; there are just 65 rooms spread over six floors. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed, with updated bathrooms and bath products from L’Occitane." - Guy Saddy

This is not THE St Regis, but “a” hotel named the St Regis not affiliated with the luxury hotel brand. Before I begin, let me just say that the hotel staff was very kind. Now, the downside: 1. I had to step over a homeless drug addict picking their scabs to enter the hotel. Are you kidding? Literally, the dude was laying in the main entrance doorway. You’d think they could have someone in the evening kindly redirecting this sort of behavior. When I brought this to the attention of an employee the next morning, his response “what occurs outside of those doors is beyond my control.” BS! It was technically on your property and a safety risk to guests. Sidewalk? Sure, that answer sucks but makes sense. Your actual doorway? No dude. You can’t have that. 2. The property is loud. Very, very loud. Our room faced the street and when we requested to move, the hotel accommodated. Then we were moved to a room with exceptionally low shower pressure. Good times. 3. The smell! We walked into our first room and it smelled like a 1hr motel next door to an army base camp. The second room smelled as if someone had used the bathroom but not flushed the toilet for a very long time. 4. Parking costs as much as the Rosewood down the street and it’s not even valet. Complete joke. If we didn’t have family staying with us and there wasn’t an international convention going on at the same time, we would have switched hotels in a minute. However, capacity was exceptionally limited around the city. This hotel is magnificently horrendous for those expecting an actual St. Regis. If you just need a place to sleep—it’s better than sleeping outside.

Dear Jeremy & team||I hope you are well.||After our recent stay, I wanted to give some feedback, which I am happy for you to share with your team and on your website. ||We stayed with you for a total of 3 nights split into two different dates in rooms 103 and 309.||Rooms||Beautifully appointed rooms, spotlessly clean, a very comfortable bed with luxurious bedding.||Lovely design and decoration to a high standard and a premium feel. The bathroom was very luxurious, with beautiful fittings and high-end toiletries from L'Occitane.||Deep soak bath with overhead shower and sumptuous heavy cotton towels. ||Complimentary tea and coffee with a Nespresso machine an added bonus.||Good selection of TV channels to choose from. ||Breakfast||The breakfast room was very comfortable and smartly decorated with plenty of tables.||The waiting staff were all very friendly, efficient, and always on hand to assist with anything you wanted. ||The breakfast menu was limited, but the food was very good quality and plentiful and freshly cooked to order. ||Staff||The front of house team was absolutely amazing! The management was always on hand with a warm welcome and a chat, making us as guests feel very special and valued.||The lovely Gentleman on the door was an absolute legend! So cheery and always ready to help with directions,  recommendations for places to visit and restaurants, etc,  and always made us laugh with his exuberant personality. ||The young man on reception who loved my fragrance and always said, I knew it was you 'Mr Ian' by the smell in reception from your cologne which made me laugh,  and I even googled the fragrance so that he could get some for himself. ||Would I recommend and stay at The St regis Hotel again?||ABSOLUTELY!!||If you want to escape the humdrum of chain hotels and enjoy personal service and high standards from lovely staff,  this is the place to stay.||Hopefully, we will see you again in the future. Ian & Bernadette Durham UK||

The last time I was aware of the Regis was in the 1990s, when it was a place to avoid. The hotel's current potted history skims past the 1980s and 90s, when like so many of western Canada's historic hotels, it was a den of iniquity. 30 years on I was delighted to take my wife there, after its major renovation and herculean clean-out. The place is appointed to a high standard and the staff were almost all exceptional. Our bed was very comfy, our shower warm and consistent, and the furniture in our 'junior suite' was stylish. All that said it was a bit cramped, and the people-walking-about floorboard noise from the floor above was almost continuous. We abandoned the included breakfast on the second day because the short-handed staff was overwhelmed, and struggled first to seat us (which after a spell we did ourselves), and then to serve us (we gave up after 20 minutes). But on the days we did have breakfast, the omelettes were thick and tasty, and the coffee hot and not bitter. Finally, you can renovate the neighbourhood out of the hotel, but you cannot renovate the hotel out of the neighborhood. The Regis remains on the edge of one of the world's worst urban drug-users-and-vagrants zones. When you go out the front door, be sure to turn left. Danger lurks as close as the 7-11 kitty corner to the right.

Wow!! From the moment we made the reservation, they exceeded our expectations. We were able to check in early (almost unheard of), the room was perfect! Even a hand written note to welcome us. Exceptional clean and tasteful rooms! Breakfast was fresh and hot every morning!! Front desk attendees were kind, helpful and super accommodating. A bit noisy from the street at night, but it is a downtown hotel so it should be expected. We will definitely stay with them again! Top notch everything!!!

What a very friendly hotel. Made to feel welcomed by every member of staff. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast lovely with great staff. We went to Vancouver Island and the staff very kindly kept our luggage until we came back. . Definitely recommend.

Great place... we stayed there before a cruise ( 5 minutes by Uber to docks). I've never stayed in more well maintained room. Staff was friendly and close to a lot of attractions in Vancouver. The included FULL breakfast was also excellent. There is no excercise facilities on sight FYI.||It's a little pricey ( the prices on line are Canadian dollars FYI). But I would definitely stay there again.. Enjoy.

Google
A nice little historical hotel with classic vibe, fine decor and well furnished. I stayed for 5 nights, very quiet and comfortable. Bedding is soft and comfy, bathroom is well maintained and clean. No mini bar, but there’s a associated liquor store in the adjacent block, stocked with abundant choice of beer and wine. Staffs are helpful, friendly and professional. They serve 3 choices of breakfast in a nice restaurant. There’s also a bar (open till 2am) and steak room. Location is super convenient as 3 minutes walk to Granville and City Centre stations as well as bus stops. Shopping centre and a wide variety of restaurants in vicinity.

My wife and I stayed at the St. Regis Hotel following our Alaska cruise. Our experience with the staff were exceptional. We arrived well before check in time to drop off our bags so that we could tour the city. They had a room ready for us, which allowed us to prepare for the day. On check out day, they stored our bags until well after check out to further explore the city. The rooms are modern and clean suites and a very competitive in pricing. Free breakfast was offered. I would highly recommend this location near the ship pier and city highlights.

Yelp
We stayed here for a weekend after our cruise and could not have been more pleased! I was traveling with my husband and 6-year-old daughter, and we decided to upgrade to the Executive Suite for the King Sized bed and sleeper sofa with a door to separate the two. Since we were getting booted off the cruise ship in the early morning, I emailed the hotel ahead of time to ask if we could store our luggage for the day until check-in and they promptly replied letting me know they could accommodate my request. I had anticipated shuffling some belongings between my bags in the lobby before setting out for a day in the city, but when we arrived, we were told that our room was already available and we could go ahead and check in! What a wonderful surprise! The room was just as beautiful as in the pictures, more spacious than we expected for the downtown area, and we were spoiled by the Nespresso Machine. There were just 3 breakfast options, and they were all quite filling and better quality than you would expect for being included in the nightly price. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to public transportation - we were able to take the metro from the cruise terminal and popped out right by the hotel. And just a block further we were able to catch the Canada line to the Airport on the day of our departure. We were close to the waterfront, shopping, and plenty of excellent restaurants.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. Great perks like Fiji water bottles, white robes in the closet, and heated floors in the bathroom. They have complimentary breakfast but I didn't take advantage of it. The elevator is small-just enough space for about 3 people so take the stairs if you're claustrophobic. The room itself is small though. The carpet smelled pretty new I'm guessing it was recently upgraded. My room had a desk to work at which was helpful on my business trip. The staff is friendly and they'll hold the door open for you when you're coming and going from the hotel. After the heated floors, the location is the best thing about this place. Easy to get to the Seawall and near so many places to eat and several nearby coffee shops.

Yelp
Great place for food and drinks. Always when I come here, all the waitresses and waiters are so friendly and so polite. Their customer service is amazing. The environment is so cool, reminds me those 80's restaurant, great decoration. They always have something to offer. Love their menu, their dry ribs are good, and their gyoza and pizza are amazing too. Great offers from Monday to Thursday from 3-6 pm. Drinks and cocktails are so delish. Hopefully you will have a great experience like I did. Thanks

Yelp
Nice hotel located central in Vancouver. Close to many Vancouver tourist areas - Granville Island, Stanley Park, Robson St, Gas town, etc. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful - quality service. Rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped. The amenities in the bathroom are high quality name brand. The shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion were so good that I looked online to order for home. Lol Complimentary breakfast is provided, and it's very good. Sit down style of breakfast service, versus buffet style. Food quality was impressive. There's also a bar & grill located next to the hotel. They have a happy hour that is good. Cost of stay was very reasonable. I would be willing to stay here again when in Vancouver.

Yelp
Very good service, knowledgeable staff and excellent breakfasts. Rooms are in great condition with comfortable beds and nice towels. Highly recommended if you like classy service and comfortable accommodation.

Yelp
The St Regis Hotel in Vancouver is a gem. Located in Central old Town it is in easy proximity to Gastown and its steam clock. Also only a small distance from Chinatown and The St. Regis still has the charm of its storied past. Built in the 20s, it has been updated and has all the amenities you expect from a 4 star hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful The facilities are modern and top notch. The rooms are large and comfortable. Our bathroom had a heated floor that was wonderful! There is a pub/grill attached, and a hallway that access the Gotham Steakhouse.

Yelp
Front desk staff very professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms are quiet and clean. Would stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed here for 5 nights and everything was perfect. Staff was amazingly helpful and friendly (especially Juan), rooms were sparkling and the hot breakfast included was delicious! I would definitely recommend this location for sure -- even if things are a "Little different " because of COVID. Keep in mind this is a boutique hotel so room are on the smaller side BUT the personalized note, pillow chocolate + complimentary Fiji water is a great touch! Local to a ton of things and transit from this location was super easy as well.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at the St. Regis. We were in Vancouver to meet some friends. It is centrally located. The staff is very friendly and very helpful to whatever we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable. Very much enjoyed the stay, and we would stay there again. Gary H

Yelp
This charming little hotel is perfect if you don't want to walk through a big lobby with many people. It takes two minutes from the lobby to your room. The room is not big but immaculate and updated; it has a great bar and restaurant. Their breakfast is simple but just right. And the best French bakery, Beaucoup, is opening downstairs soon--a short distance to everywhere and Vancouver City Center Skytrain. All these with a great price!

Yelp
I spent two nights at St Regis and I love that it's right downtown. It feels like everything is close by; there's a shoppers drug mart and a 7/11 just across the street. It's also within walking distance of the cruise ship port, which I took advantage of. The hotel isn't terribly big, as I think it only has 6 floors. The foyer is a bit small and the single elevator is really small (only maybe 4-5 people can be in it at once). However, the rooms are a good size and the decor is really nice. My room was a really good size and the bathroom and shower were stunning! The room was really clean and comfortable. With your stay you get a free breakfast, which is always nice. You get a choice of the continental breakfast, 3 egg omelette, and traditional breakfast that includes eggs, hash browns, toast, and your choice of protein (bacon, ham, sausage). The traditional breakfast and the omelette are both good choices! The staff is very professional and welcoming. I had requested a fan in my room and they were able to accommodate. The only slight issue was the noise level of the room. I never heard a peep from inside the hotel but it was pretty noisy from outside at night. I guess this makes sense since it's downtown Vancouver but it's something to be aware of. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at St Regis. I think the location alone makes this hotel a great option but the amazing staff and quality of the rooms definitely makes this hotel a great choice.

Michael W.

Yelp
Great affordable hotel. The room was a bit small but it had everything we need. Queen size bed, table, television, and washroom. Washroom comes with soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, q tips, towels and bath robes. Parking garage was a bit hard to find but it was easy once we found it. It's got tons of space so don't worry if you have trouble with driving in narrow areas. You can ask for free bottle of fuji water which is perfect for hiking days. They could also hold your luggage for you before check in times and after check out times if needed. The staff was so nice and helpful. No problems at all. Overall, I would stay at the St Regis hotel again the next time I go to Vancouver.

Yelp
My first time staying at this wonderful hotel... I can sum my stay up in two words, Class and Service! I visit Vancouver BC often. Stay at different hotels around the city. I like many travelers have had good and bad stays. How great it was for me to find St. Regis. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with such a fine welcome. Their staff knows your coming they ensure all the information was in their computer. They have everything down to a fine hospitality science... 4 star restaurant in the building. Breakfast package on the lower level dining, a wine cellar, the staff takes your bags and insists they show you to your room to ensure it is to your liking. In all my years of hotel Sarah's and traveling I have never seen this much super attention to detail from a hotel. The food was excellent by the way... the prices were such a positive surprise. The surroundings are classic Victorian and beautifully clean and polished. Located in the heart of Vancouver metro. Near to all the transit stations and sights. You cannot go wrong choosing St. Regis as your next Ho

Yelp
Found this boutique hotel on a hotel website. My first time in Vancouver & had no a clue where to stay! I went by the great Yelp reviews! Thank you for that! I requested a high floor not near the elevators. I've traveled enough to know that's ONLY a request & only when available .While the room I had on the first floor was lovely & well appointed; there were shutters behind each double bed. I assumed they were covering windows to the outside.I checked in at night & when I went to open the shutters in the morning, I found steel plates behind the shutters! No windows at all! I feel like I'm in a cave. What Hotel has NO windows!? I have no way of knowing how to dress each day & I somewhat feel I can't breathe.Perhaps I'm being a bit entitled here but I've never stayed in a hotel room with NO window Only way I'd ever stay at the ST.Regis Vancouver again is to ASK at CHECK IN if my assigned room at has a window!

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about the St Regis. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown. The Canada Line train from the airport is an easy way to get here. There is a station very close the hotel. Jordan at the front desk was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and giving us directions to local attractions. The rooms are very nice. We had a junior queen suite. Our maid Carmelita was awesome. All of the staff were extremely friendly. They also offer breakfast (included) and unlike other hotels that offer cereal and yogurt, this is a made to order breakfast. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruit, waffles, etc. Will definitely stay here again. 2018 - back again at the St Regis and another 5-star experience. The entire staff is fantastic, from the front desk crew to housekeeping. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown with easy access to the Canada Line and Expo trains. Beautiful rooms and comfortable bed.

Yelp
Fantastic boutique hotel in the middle of Downtown. Service was impeccable from beginning to end. Rooms were a little small, but that's to be expected in the middle of a city. The concierge was happy to give recommendations that weren't typical tourist fare, the breakfast staff (included with cost!!) was totally willing to give to-go boxes (and even remembered my order when I came back the second day), and when we headed out in the afternoon they sent a team up for turndown service- which was definitely NOT our experience in multiple hotels. Another nice thing that popped into my head, was the TV. The interface was super easy to use and there were tons of channels available. It seems like something small, but usually hotel TVs SUUUUUUUUUUCCKKK and it was a nice change to have a good one for once.

Patricia B.

Yelp
Staff went above and beyond to make my visit safe during these crazy Covid times. My stay included a free breakfast - I chose a hearty 3 egg omelette both mornings. Fantastic downtown location close to transit and else a business traveler needs.

Yelp
April 2017 UPDATE: mysteriously, the cost of our room has been credited. I do not know if that was something the hotel initiated or due to our contest of the duplicated charges with Citibank. IF that credit stands, I've increased my rating by one star. March 2017 UPDATE: after we labored for nearly six months to get the pretty grossly mishandled and duplicated charges on our credit cards researched, we finally did straighten the mess out with St. Regis. HOWEVER, my husband and I did *all* of the calling and investigating. Neither the hotel staff nor our Citibank credit card were helpful enough to rinse the very unhappy taste from my mouth. I may never pay for a hotel with a credit card ever again, this was such a nightmare! Traveler's checks would have been infinitely easier and cheaper than the time exhausted and foreign exchange fees charged on credit cards the hotel wasn't supposed to charge. Jan 15 2017 Update: currently in conversation with the hotel regarding this frustrating, multiple-over-charged situation. CREDIT CARD NIGHTMARE. We waited months for St. Regis to investigate their double charges on us for our visit in September 2016. The hotel wanted a *copy of our credit card* in order to investigate! Um, no, obviously that is improper. We will never stay at this hotel again and would tell other VBC visitors to do so only with extreme caution.

Yelp
I stayed for one night after a cruise and really enjoyed the hotel and the location. My room wasn't ready when I got there around 10am so they took my luggage and let me have the wifi password so I could browse what was around. When I came back after lunch a little after 2 my room was ready. The bed was really comfortable, the robes and toiletries were nice, and the tub was perfect for soaking which was the first thing I did. I found the location great for getting around both on foot and using the metro since there were stops for two different lines right by the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and came out hot and quick. I found every employee I interacted with there to be pleasant and helpful, so why only four stars? Simply because while the tub was great for soaking, it was not so great to get into and out of for a shower due to the depth of it. So I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who has mobility issues unless there is an accessible room available. Review also on Trip Advisor.

Yelp
Booked a room thru hotels.com and kept checking for the lowest rates. Then I emailed the general manager, Jeremy, and requested a refrigerator before arriving as it's first come first served. Jeremy was very accommodating and responded quickly to my emails. We got a king suite which was not too big but the free breakfast and location made up for it. We were out all day sightseeing and shopping anyway so it's no big deal. The room and bathroom were super clean and they provided L'Occitane bath products, clean towels, free Fiji water (yes!!) and little chocolates on your bed daily. The FREE daily breakfast was great. There are three meals to choose from: waffles and fruit, eggs and meat (bacon, sausage) or omelette with three items with the best crunchy potatoes ever, toast, juices and coffee! There's 3 huge tv screens while you dine and you simply give them your room number. Be sure to leave a tip for the great wait staff. During our stay, the power was out for over an hour due to a street maintenance so we left and ate at The Keg which had great food. The night before, we ate next door at The Gotham, another excellent restaurant, and earlier we had sushi at Miku down the street at the waterfront. OVERALL: Excellent, clean, modern hotel, great friendly staff, delicious breakfast, centrally located (one block from Canada Line train, Nordstrom, the malls and other boutique stores, next door to Expo Line train and Starbucks). Save your money and take the train from the airport! It's cheap and convenient, you don't need to rent a car. I would definitely stay here again!!! THANKS!!

Yelp
Excellent services ! The hotel put a lot of the detail into the renovation. Small room feels roomy. the location is great, close to shopping eating and touring of downtown.

Lynn S.

Yelp
We stayed two nights, mid-week to attend a concert and do a bit of shopping. Convenient location near everything we needed. Nice restaurant on site but many other options nearby. Our room included internet and better than average free breakfast. Room was comfortable with excellent amenities. Every single staff member we encountered was helpful and polite. Already hoping for an excuse to go back!

Kaylin C.

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about this hotel and it's amazing staff! I would come back to Vancouver just to stay here again. Service is impeccable! Quick, friendly, knowledgeable and very interactive. There is a Steve Nash gym right around the corner (literally a minutes walk away) that you can use for free! The toiletries offered by the hotel are l'occitane. The rooms are not huge, but plenty of space and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the tile floor in the bathroom is heated! To anyone visiting Vancouver, stay here !!

Yelp
My family and I stayed at the St Regis hotel for one night after getting off a cruise. We arrived before regular check in but were promptly taken care of. The second we pulled up too the front of the hotel and smartly dressed man unloaded our luggage from the limo and brought it into the front lobby. While we checked in he brought out bag tags and took out luggage to a holding area and told us that our luggage would be waiting in our rooms just as soon as they were ready. The front desk woman was very kind and helpful; she gave us ideas on what to do around the city for a few hours. We ended up booking a Hop on Hop off city bus tour through her. She was able to give us our tickets and direct us too the bus location. She was also able to tell us areas around the city that were the most popular and places she enjoyed the scenery the most. She also gave us a great breakfast recommendation. When we got back our rooms were ready early. We retrieved our keys from the same woman and proceeded to our rooms. The room was small but nicely decorated with chocolates on the pillows. It was nice to have complementary waters as well. The internet was free but if you went from they lobby to your room it would log out and you would have to go through the whole process again, which was a bit annoying. The bathroom was nicely designed and the shower was spacious. My parents bathroom even had heated floors, mine did not. The room had a large flatscreen television with a plethora of channels. The beds were comfortable; hard enough to support your body but soft enough to fully relax in any position and the sheets/duvet were soft as well. The only issue I had was the ability to change the temperature. I find it nearly impossible to sleep in a warm room so I turned down the temperature very low. While I could hear the air conditioner working, it never got down to the temperature I needed. Breakfast was complimentary and opened early, which was nice. There was a selection of a continental breakfast, two egg breakfast and inlet breakfast. Each came with a choice meat, choice of bread, and potatoes. All served by a waitress. There. Was a nice selection of juices and teas as well. I ordered an omelet and it was very good. It was easy to tell that the chef used real eggs and fresh veggies. The portions were nicely sized, and the toast was thick, warm and flavorful. I was pleased with breakfast. The waitress was kind and attentive as well. There was also a complimentary gym with a steam room and sauna which was great! Check out was a breeze and the man behind the counter was very nice. Our luggage was taken out of the hotel and loaded into the limo very quickly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

Walk to Canada Place and World Trade Center on the waterfront. Next to Granville underground Station. Many upscale hotels a block away. Walk to Robson Street University Area.

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 days in February. Full free breakfast Great staff from front desk to housekeeper. Wonderful location easy access to Skytrain and shopping. Only down was the elevator was being repaired so up and down stairs wore on this old woman's knees. Always someone there to help with luggage and open doors. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Vancouver.

Yelp
The St. Regis is a lovely hotel. It is located in center of downtown. It is within walking distance to Gas Town, Canada Place, The Lookout Tower and the shopping district. It is next to the subway and has a Tim Horton's across the street and a Starbuck's next door. They serve an amazing breakfast as part of the stay. It has the St. Regis Bar and Grill connected to it. The room was extremely clean and nicely decorated. What makes this hotel so wonderful is the staff. They go the extra mile (or should I say kilometer) to make their guests feel special and well cared for. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Vancouver. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Yelp
Celebrated my 7 year anniversary with my bf here in Vancouver BC and an amazing time despite the weather. St. Regis catered to all of our needs and exceeded all of our expectations. I do a lot of research before booking hotels and I have not one thing to complain about. The rooms were exceptional even though they are bit on the smaller size. Can't go wrong with the heated tile in the bathroom and the chocolates on the pillows for a treat! And cmon free bottled fiji water with every room service! Sweet! And I can't forget to mention how clean and comfortable the beds were! Since we r such foodies... we needed a gym to burn off the calories and we couldn't believe that we were given passes to the Steve Nash gym located right around the corner! Free breakfast... not just cold cereal and hard pastries but a legit hot, cooked to order full on breakfast! That's the winner!!! Location...perfect location just minutes to popular shopping centers, cafes, pubs, and public transit! The walks could have been dreadful but thank goodness for the many shops and cafes to stop by in. And lastly... The service here is outstanding! Greeted every time (by name!)with doors opened for u. Complimentary umbrellas too! St. Regis you have won me over and I will definitely stay here again if I ever visit Vancouver again! Thanks!!!

Yelp
For this trip I wanted to try a boutique hotel rather than the usual chains. Also its location in relation to shopping, food, metro stations made it an ideal choice. The room was a bit on the small side but the spacious bathroom more than made up for it. I had an inner room which came with a "charming" view of a rooftop and office buildings. It didn't bother me since there was dreary, rainy weather during my stay plus I found it to be very quiet. The room had nice details such as leather-like wall coverings complete with stitching. Maybe this is what toy dogs feel like when hanging out in LV purses. Overall the staff was helpful with my questions and schedule. I first arrived in the morning before check in time (3pm), and the room wasn't available yet. However the staff labeled and stored my luggage in separate room till mine was ready. I appreciated that it wasn't kept right outside in the front desk area, which some places do. Later when I returned, they brought up the luggage in my room. This allowed me to spend the day out and about without having to worry about it. As far as amenities go the St. Regis has got it covered. While they don't have an in-house gym, complimentary passes to the Steve Nash Sport Club around the block are available. Let's just say it was well equipped lol~ Also a complimentary breakfast is offered to guests. I like how it had waiter service and food made to order. It's definitely a nicer start to the day than the sad carbohydrate buffets cheaper places offer. Overall I had a great experience at the St. Regis and would return if I'm ever in town.

Yelp
My wife and I we the lucky recipients of a Holt Renfrew 'Shop and Stay' package, which including a night's stay in one of their executive suites. I'll let my wife review that 'shop' portion of the package and stick to the 'stay' part. The St. Regis is everything a boutique hotel should be. The hotel is a perfect mix of a historic building and modern amenities. It has been beautifully appointed with close attention to nearly every detail. We loved the comfy king size bed enjoyed the soaker tub. The staff were friendly and attentive. Located in the heart of downtown, the location of the hotel is great for tourists and business travelers alike. The free use of the business center, including printers was a nice addition. We loved the complimentary long distance calls and were impressed by the complimentary full breakfast (including table service and omelets!). The only room for improvement would be to improve the (admittedly free) wifi quality and perhaps consider a doorman to greet guests and help unload and direct cars, and/or even a valet parking service.

Yelp
For the very high price this hotel did not meet my expectations. My neck hurt from very uncomfortable over stuffed pillows, and the heater/thermostat was not working for both nights. I called multiple times and they tried to re-set the system, and it would turn on, and then stop again. I was absolutely freezing. They finally brought me a small space heater which helped, but for the over $800/night rate they jacked it up to for this week, this is quite ridiculous to be woken up several times for freezing cold while sleeping and heater stopped working. :-( I will say however, that other than these 2 issues, the hotel was lovely, food & service at restaurant was great, and the front desk staff were amazingly helpful for a bunch of others things during my stay. They also brought up the small space heater in less than 2 minutes, which was fast. But they really need better preventative maintenance or plan to repair their HVAC system. The fact that they have portable space heaters ready to bring in a moments notice, tells me this is not the first time this has happened. Wish I had been told sooner to ask for the portable heater if I had an issue, so I would not have frozen the night before, & finally having enough.

Yelp
I visited Vancouver BC for a few days hoping to get a chance to see some of the world-famous southern resident orcas of Puget Sound, and chanced upon this little gem of a hotel. It isn't a large building, but it's well-maintained and pleasant. Our room was nice, with nice mattresses and fine appointments. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Each person we encountered was exceedingly helpful and friendly, and their recommendations for places to visit and eat were spot on. They never steered me wrong, and always seemed pleased when their suggestions panned out. I hope everyone who works here is paid well; they really deserve it! The daily breakfast was delicious too. I didn't see orcas this time--they were seen the day before AND the day after my trip--but when I return, I will definitely choose the St. Regis. Great job, guys, and thanks for everything.

Yelp
Centrally located downtown this hotel is both charming and provides excellent service. From the fantastic team at the front desk to the maid service we were treated like royalty every day we were there. Starbucks next door, blocks from Gastown and great shopping, and a ton of great little restaurants that surround the hotel. I highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
We stayed here a few years back and LOVED it! Would have stayed here again except our tour went with another hotel. Very nice hotel and personnel.

Yelp
From the moment we stepped into the lobby, service was top notch here during our entire stay. (SPOILER ALERT. Skip the rest of this paragraph if you like pleasant surprises!) Our luggage was immediately tended to before we even started checking in. Check in process itself was quick. We took the slightly slow but very pretty elevator up to our floor. When we opened the door, we were actually kind of scared as the lights were all on and there was music playing in the background. We thought we got checked in to another guest's room and was ready to be greeted by a half naked man in a towel, but then we saw our bags aesthetically placed around the room and realized the luggage guy had beat us to our room and even turned on some nice instrumental music to set up a calm, relaxing ambiance. Wow. I was impressed. The room itself was clean and extremely pretty. Love the tall windows with a direct view of the street. Morning coffee sitting by these windows was quite the experience. I highly suggest closing the blinds when you change/sleep though ;) Room space was a bit tight, according to my boyfriend, but I found it quite sufficient. Bathroom was clean and pretty too; though I'm not too thrilled to find our coffee maker in the same room as the toilet... Bed comfy. Free Fiji water and chocolate each day; the latter was surprisingly good. Complimentary breakfast downstairs too, and it's made to order! Meaning fresh hot eggs any way you like. No stale buffet foods here! Now the cons. Parking was such a pain! It's in a separate building, which means you gotta walk a bit to get to and from your car. We were there in January, so needless to say, our walk wasn't very enjoyable. Also, when we first got there, there was no directions at all telling us where to park our car for check in. We ended up illegally parking on a busy street before sending someone in to get a parking pass so we could get into the garage. You might want to ask about this if you're driving there, especially if you're alone. Lastly, they are very strict on check-out times here and will constantly remind you you're late if you are. Understandable, but we were trying our best and each phone call and visit only slowed us down even more. Plus, it kind of leaves things on a sour note. We were about 30 mins late. Other than this, the rest of our stay was quite enjoyable.

Yelp
The St. Regis Hotel is a quaint hotel reminiscent of an European boutique hotels. The location in the Financial District is wonderful and just a couple of blocks from the Vancouver waterfront. Make sure you have a GPS, as it it a little difficult to find without. Finding parking was a little difficult, but after making the block a couple of times, we finally stopped and ran into the lobby. They were very helpful in showing us how to pull into the parking garage. The room was comfortable with complimentary Fiji bottled water, international phone calls, and wifi. The front desk was helpful with restaurant recommendations. Do not miss a hearty complimentary breakfast cooked to order. Will stay at the St. Regis again.

Yelp
First time being to Canada and we chose this spot. Since we first walked in everyone has super friendly service! The front desk are so helpful and nice! The maids were super sweet and went out of their way to help us. I can't wait to visit again and stay here. Oh the complimentary breakfast was delicious! Not what we expected and were very pleased with the breakfast.

Yelp
I recently made a reservation, which had an issue with the rate. I called to have it corrected, but was not given the best customer service. The rate I saw in my cart was 328 CAD, but upon checkout it was 399 CAD. I think I caught the website at an odd time, maybe as it was updating, so I called to inquire and have my rate adjusted to what was placed in my cart. I was given a really hard time on the phone, and they were dead set on not admitting fault, or correcting the situation. They did eventually change the rate, but made it a point it to explain what I was seeing was a currency update, since I'm in the US. But the entire time everything....website, email, and confirmation info was in CAD. They never admitted fault, or apologized for the poor customer service. I don't know why they would even squabble about this and put a customer through this hassle. Next time, just change the rate! Don't put your customers through this! Also, don't be fooled by the name...this is not the world renowned St. Regis known for the impeccable customer service...this is a knock off, just using the name for marketing.

Yelp
We stayed here for two nights over Thanksgiving weekend. Front desk staff and bellhop were extremely helpful and courteous, as were all other members of the staff we encountered. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Location downtown was super convenient and close to everything. It took us a while to figure out parking, but it didn't turn out to be too complicated. When you arrive, pull up in front of the entrance and pop in to grab the parking pass that lets you in the garage just down the street on St Regis Lane.

Yelp
I am here at this hotel right now on a pleasure trip with a sister to this wonderful city. It is my first stay at this hotel. I'm afraid I must take issue with the scathing review and one star from the lady who took issue with this St Regis not being related to the NYC St Regis. What a ludicrous basis for a complaint, ie because she was confused! How is that their fault? She is almost implying they are " ripping off" the brand. Yelp I protest, take this foolish posting down! This hotel originated the name in 1913 - not the other way around! They were the first such named hotel in north America, why in the world would anyone blame them because of that? Lamest of reasons to give one star. I have no stake in this place, but my stay here is superb so far. The GM was so hands on, he actually went up to our room himself to expedite it's readiness for us. He worked with us to streamline a goofy reservation through an online Booker (tip , book direct, better rates, less hassle). The same GM even gave my sister an iPad to use during our stay (I already had mine along). Normally there will be a charge to use them during your stay, but he did that due to some of the snafus we hit with our booking company. Upgraded us for a nominal fee, and everyone on staff has been so kind and happy to help. The location is really convenient. We came by train from Seattle and got the sky train across the street from the train station, and a quick ride to Granville station, which is almost next door. Wonderful to not have a car here. The room - we are in a queen suite - is modern and tasteful, in neutral tones, flat screen tv in each room (quality of picture not the best though, don't seem to have HD here). Nice quality bedding, sheets feel like high thread count. I am a stickler for odors with a keen sense of smell. This place is 100% nonsmoking, and is fresh as can be. (how places smell is so important, and distracting to me, I once left a vacation rental in Tuscany that I had prepaid a week for, forfeiting several hundred dollars, all because a German guest in a cottage below us prepared saurkraut and I could not even sleep a wink with that scent in the air. I am here two days after 'miss confused', and there is nothing like she is describing going on. Wifi is included, no extra fee, by the way. The bathroom is nice with lighted swivel mirror, a nice extra. Good pressure in the shower and has a built in bench in the shower too. There is a bit of a gap at the bottom of the door so if you move the shower head around you can get water on the floor. They give you a discount to an adjacent health club, and have an apparently amazing massage therapist who works in house (he was no available though). I haven't had their breakfast yet but will report back on it. The elevators are european style, small and narrow. I really like the place, and there is everything close by, restaurants, drug stores, great shopping, etc.

Yelp
I called into the St. Regis Hotel before booking to ask a ton of questions. I think it was Jose that answered - and the two times I talked to him, he was so patient & so sweet while answering every question I had. CONS: The room is much smaller than portrayed on the site - this was immediately disappointing. As is the elevator, which is actually pretty amusing. My boyfriend's shoulders (broad) barely fit through. PROS: Complimentary breakfast: Never seen such huge portions for a complimentary breakfast meal. Clean rooms Updated decor, nice amenities VERY Professional and kind staff: I felt awful for not carrying any cash on me. Gym Wines & Spirits: There is a store that connects to the hotel restaurant that carries liquor. Expensive, but well-stocked. Additional info - parking is $26 a day. Could be worse, can't complain while being in a downtown.

Yelp
We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was definitely a very nice hotel. It's located right in the middle of all the action so it was nice to be able to get around with out a car. When I first planned my trip, I emailed this place a couple of times but didn't get a response back until the 3rd attempt. That was the only downfall, was the communication. But when we got there, everyone was great and the service was wonderful. Everytime we left the hotel, they would ask us if we needed directions or where we wanted to go if we didn't have a place in mind. The staff was friendly and the room was beautiful, but a little small. We didn't have a good view at all, it was just the side of some building. I requested that they make our stay a little more special since it was our honeymoon, but it was just like any other hotel stay for us.

Yelp
The hotel is very nice; contemporary and comfortable. The breakfast is great in the morning - made-to-order with crunchy potatoes, crunchy bacon, eggs, waffles, etc. that you order from a menu. It's not buffet style, so no worries on stale food if you arrive to breakfast late. The hotel staff was very helpful in getting around. They were always detailed when answering questions. The heated tile was a nice touch. The location was perfect for us - bus stops and the skytrain located just downstairs. The best part was H&M just a block away with some other shops as well. We walked to Gastown and Chinatown from the hotel. We took a bus to Granville Island and Stanley Park. We would definitely stay here again; especially since breakfast is included.

Yelp
This is one of my new favorite boutique hotels! I stayed here for business recently and really enjoyed every minute. Room was nice (a little small, but not cramped), bed was very comfy and had a great shower. A couple of things I loved: 2 complimentary bottles of Fiji water (my favorite bottled water) each day and a full size hair dryer! I can't tell you how many hotels I've stayed at with bad hair dryers, so that was a treat. Location was also fantastic - on the corner of Dunsmuir and Seymour downtown, with a Starbucks next door and the Granville Sky Train entrance less than a block away. Service was outstanding, and front desk manager called me by name each time I entered the building (that's always a nice touch at smaller hotels). I also got breakfast included with my rate, and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a buffet breakfast with muffins, yogurt and juice. You could order from a menu, and the portions were huge. I got eggs, sausage and toast both mornings I stayed, and it was delicious. I also got room service one night, and it was really good as well. I will be visiting Vancouver on a regular basis for business, and I definitely plan on staying here again! They also have a frequent stay program, which I love, because when you travel as much as I do for work, you appreciate all of the points you accumulate. See you again soon St. Regis!

Yelp
This was my first visit to Vancouver and was pleased to have had the opportunity to stay at the St. Regis Hotel. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the Canada Line transit station, so it was easy to get here from the airport. The St. Regis is a beautifully renovated boutique hotel, located within walking distance of the SeaBus terminal, Gastown, and the West End. The rooms are sophisticated, yet comfortable. You get free Wi-Fi, a made to order breakfast, and unlimited free international calls which are all a plus. These amenities are complemented by friendly, courteous, and helpful staff throughout the hotel. I spend a lot of time at hotels and the St. Regis staff go above and beyond, providing excellent customer service. They provide excellent restaurant recommendations and directions for transit. In fact, they take the time to write exact directions for their customers. It's clear that the St. Regis puts an emphasis on customer service for all of their staff, from the registration desk to housekeeping. The St. Regis is at the top of my list.

Yelp
Pretty solid hotel. 1.) Excellent free breakfast made to order. I'm not talking the crappy continental stuff with cereal boxes and pastries, but a real breakfast with eggs, potatoes, orange juice, and BACON. 2.) Free wi-fi! 3.) Centrally located and very walkable. Next to all the major metro lines, good restaurants, bus lines. One straight shot to the airport as well. 4.) Great service. Everyone was nice and helpful. So why four stars and not five? 1.) Restaurant (Besides b-fast) isn't too great. 2.) Rooms are small, but they spray it with some weird ass perfume.

Yelp
So booked wrong date for different hotel and ended up staying here. Checking in was a breeze thanks to Jas at the front desk. I was super hungry and it was Late and she recommended an amazing cafe right down the street from the hotel. There is a complementary breakfast included and it's delish, three simple breakfast items. My stay was short but I would definitely return.

Yelp
We stayed here for two nights during our last visit to BC. Upon arrival I was surprised to find that this St Regis has zero affiliation with the St Regis hotels owned by Starwood. Downsides: No valet parking - when we pulled up infront of the hotel one of us had to run inside to grab a badge to get into the garage located in the adjacent building. While we waited annoyed drivers honked as they went by since it was technically not a stopping zone. The rooms were extremely small. We paid for an Executive King Room and it basically looked exactly like a basic queen room - but with a king size bed. Upsides: The service was extremely friendly and attentive. All the staff was super nice and when we requested extra towels they were delivered within a few minutes. Wifi and breakfast are included with the hotel stay. The breakfast was a nice freshly cooked meal and not a buffet with food sitting out for hours. Overall the location was very central and if you don't plan to spend a lot of time inside the room I would recommend this place.

Yelp
I had a positive experience at the St. Regis Hotel. It is in an absolute great location. Just about anything is walkable or available by transit. We took the Canada line to and from the airport with ease, as well as the #19 bus to the Vancouver Aquarium. I would recommend taking a cab to/from Grainville island, however. We walked there and it was quite a hike, the cab ride back was less than $10. Well worth it. I had no complaints about the very helpful and respectful staff. I need to note that the St. Regis is a boutique hotel, not a Starwood property. I've seen some people on yelp or Tripadvisor making that mistake. As a boutique hotel, it is a renovated historic property, and the rooms are smaller than average but still a comfortable size. The finishings are slightly superior than what you would expect at the price point. The radiant heated floors in the bathrooms and walk-in shower with built-in bench are nice touches. The bed comfortability was suitable but inferior to what you would get at the higher end hotels. The free wifi produced suitable speeds and connectivity, unlike some hotels that are very slow. I've seen some people complain about the street noise. We were on the fifth floor. If you've ever lived or stayed in a big city it is par for the course, and didn't bother us at all. The have a free sit down breakfast in the morning that has three options. It is what you'd expect for a free breakfast, on par with an IHOP or similar. We made the mistake of doing the breakfast our first morning. I would skip it from here out. All told, the St. Regis was a great experience. My next trip to Vancouver might have a room with a waterfront view in its future, but I would certainly use the St. Regis again.

Yelp
Had a three day stay in March 2010. After staying in giant condos in Whistler and the Pacific Palisades Hotel earlier in our visit, the king executive room at the St. Regis seemed really small. No fridge was the worst part. We filled up the sink with ice to keep drinks cold. We talked to the hotel about possibly paying to upgrade to a suite but we couldn't afford it. I thought it would have been nice of them to upgrade us for free since they told us they had suites open that no one was using, but they didn't offer. It was a little cold after the other places we stayed bended over backwards to hook us up. The daytime desk guy was Benjamin who was awesome. He helped us unpack our car and bring everything upstairs. He also gave us great neighborhood recommendations. The older man working at night was a jerk. He acted very inconvenienced when I asked him to get my leftovers which Benjamin had put in the staff refrigerator during the day. He looked really upset to have to get up and help me. They had a really cool looking deck in the wall to plug in our laptop to play movies on the TV, but no one at the front desk could figure out how to make it work. FAIL. The free breakfast was really good and the waitress was very sweet and helpful. This was probably the best part of our stay - the breakfast and Benjamin.
