Discovered St. Vitus today, halfway thru my 2 weeks in Tallinn.
Very few tourists come here, but it is just a very short walk north of the main train national train station. Max 500m in a straight line between the two. And it is really only a short walk from the Patkuli viewing platform. The team shown in the pic, No 1 tram to Kadriorg, passes directly in front of St. Vitus.
VERY interesting quality bar with quality people here, featuring more the younger set, may mid 20s to around 40, but that's an observation based on 1 visit. There were about 30 people there at 5pm of a Thursday arvo.
Food is great, nice selection of snacks and meals, I've included pics of the menu. Didn't try any alcohol as it wasn't the day or time of day for me to imbibe, nonetheless, I had a very nice grape juice, perfect temperature, and delicious lightly salted hot sweet potato chips. Perhaps check out one of the latest BBC articles on Food, talking significantly about the use of sweet potatoes in the traditional Okinawan diet, helping assist the longevity of these fine people.
It's also only a short walk to the Port from here.
I've included quite a few pics of the lovely, and partly unrenovated, old timber homes in a rectangle from St. Vitus. Take a walk along the streets opposite St. Vitus and really get a feel for an older style of living, probably 1700s to 1800s.
