Very nice folks. I like observing the rituals and hearing their language. Smells nice in there and they sometimes offer free foods! Overall a great place for the family to learn about God and their community!

Very friendly people and great atmosphere. There was a mild push to join, but that's just how churches are. Overall it was a pleasant experience

Yelp
This is the best Greek Orthodox Church in Miami. Father Aristidis is a gifted priest who speaks five languages. Presbytera Maria is ready to take on any task large or small to support the community. You won't be disappointed, the friendliest church in town!

Yelp
This is a beautiful church! They host an annual Greek culture festival that's always a nice event... lots of merchants, live dancing and cultural displays. The food at the festival is wonderful... they have full dinners like leg of lamb, and also a Greek coffee tent, gyros, sausage, fried cheese, Greek beer.. If you have someone with you who doesn't like the thought of eating Greek food at a Greek festival, there is usually a carnival vendor also. This year I have to admit that we didn't stay as long as we normally do because the stage had been relocated from previous years from the back of the field into the very middle, and the DJ has that sound system turned up to a really uncomfortable volume level, and was continuously making announcements. It was impossible to talk over, and even going to the farthest tables to eat by the side fence it was too loud. I hope someone in charge took note. I almost knocked a star because of this, but the great times we've had here over the years carry it. A couple years ago we were lucky to catch a church tour given by the priest... and happy we did. One of our favorite features of this festival is the amazing selection of home made Greek pastries, deserts, cookies, etc. We always pick up a selection that we enjoy over the next several days at home. The other event we come to every year here is the Christmas tree sale. The festival program usually has a coupon, but not this year. Although the prices of the trees is higher this year, you can't beat their freshness. We usually leave ours up embarrassingly long.

Yelp
Miami Greek Festival: Check. While I cannot speak for the actual services of this church, their annual festival was a blast. Bought a Groupon for two that included admission and a gyro/zorba/souvlaki. Wasn't a fan of the souvlaki personally, but my friend enjoyed it, as well as his gyro. Tried ouzo for the first time and I can definitely see why Ian's parents got drunk in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. That stuff is strong, wow baby. They had a lot of food options, so although the souvlaki was a failure for me, I was able to eat happily. I also had some coffee, and well, I was surprised to like Greek coffee. I thought about buying a pastry, but eh, most of the lines were cash only and finding an ATM was a bit of a pain. I do think they should work on this for next year. Seriously, this generation lives off cards. Anyway, they had a cute gift shop, as well as a stage with dancers. The dancers performed a variety of shows and they were quite lively. Overall, I enjoyed myself and I can definitely see why this event gets packed. I'm looking forward to going again next year.

Yelp
What I love the most of this church is their people, the beautiful feeling I have every time I come is just wonderful. It brings me memories from my childhood. The beautiful architecture of the inside and out, the images inside this gorgeous church are simply amazing, the incense smell is beautiful and so calming. You will definitely enjoy the music and chanting of the chorus singing during mass. Every year they do a Greek Festival to raise money for the church where the also offer tours of the church, I highly recommend it plus you will be helping them.

Yelp
This Review is for the annual Greek festival. I have come a few times. It gets better every time. Great for the whole family. Best Greek festival in Miami. The food is fantastic. Best Gyros you can get anywhere in Miami. All the sweets are fantastic. Best Baklava I've ever had. Great selection of Greek Drinks, Wines and Beers. Be careful with the Ouzo shots. It's really strong. I speak from experience. Lol They also have a huge stage and put on performances ranging from Dance shows to a DJ. The Kids Love it! Along with all the Carnival style rides they get to ride on including a small Ferris wheel. They also have a tented area where you can shop for a bunch of different. Crafts and nic-nacs. If you missed it this Year put it on your Calendar for 2017, as you are sure to have a wonderful time!!

Yelp
Been to the Greek Festival here for the past 2 years. I am a fan and won't miss it! It is well organized and run. You can tell the church puts a lot of effort into the event. The food is great. The traditional music and dancing is a welcomed change from what we normally see down in Miami. There is a small, covered bazaar that sells all manner of tchotchkes. You can find a shirt or a gold covered pendant. The food lasts into the night. The baked breads and sweets not always. Best to come early if you want a loaf of delicious bread to take with you. Parking can be a chore but you can park throughout the neighbourhood. If you can't find anything on the street there is usually designated parking in the strip mall across the street. If they are doing a tour of the church when you are there make sure you do it. You get to go inside and see how beautiful the church is and hear some history of the building and the congregation. See you next year.

Yelp
I've been coming to the St Andrew's Greek Festival for about 30 years. This year we decided to take advantage of the deal Groupon was offering for the Festival. For $16 it included admission for two (normally $5 each) and two Gyro/Zorba/Souvlaki sandwiches (normally $8 each). We went on a Saturday afternoon and were able to quickly and painlessly use the Groupon. I was pleased to see how well-organized they were when it came to those of us who used Groupons. We were issued tickets which we then turned in for the sandwiches. I felt my gyro was done perfectly. We enjoyed a Greek beer and some Greek pastries, and even caught the dancers and singers perform. Not only do they have food, drinks, and dancing, but they have a market where they sell some Greek items and a section for rides.

Yelp
St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church is a warm, loving community. The building was originally a Dutch Reform church, until the St. Andrew parish purchased it (back then, they were known as the "Greek Orthodox Church of Kendall"). Services are done in Greek & English, and occasionally, a touch of Spanish. There is a Sunday School, adult bible classes, and Greek language classes. St. Andrew was the first Greek parish in South Florida to hold a Greek Festival, known as the Miami Greek Festival. All pastries are 100% made by the church members, :) Definitely worth going to! :) Take the free shuttle from Dadeland.

Yelp
What amazing fellowship..I've never felt so at home! Father Arizi is a wonderful priest, you can really feel his passion for God, the church and those who are present. I am so grateful that we found St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church of Kendall, it's been a blessing.

Yelp
Drove 35mins to get to the festival because of a groupon coupon we had. When we got there cars were parked everywhere along the side streets leading to the event. Waited 20 minutes to get a gyro and a souvlaki which were very good. Not much of interest inside, tacky stalls selling all sort of junk, the music was pounding which made it unbearable to linger. The pastries sold at the fair were authentically Greek and delicious. hate to say it but it was a waste of time not much worth it except for the food.

Yelp
This church is right off of Kendall drive and is very easy to access,, We usually go for their annual St. Andrew's Greek festival, and the experience gets better year after year. Super friendly and gracious people! We really enjoyed eating at the makeshift cafeteria they had set up for the event. They had different items to eat: Gyros: lamb or chicken, Souvlakis and Greek salads. They even had carnival rides for the children to enjoy. I loved the Greek style dancing that was on stage and demonstrated by students. So nice and family oriented.

Yelp
Checked out the Miami Greek Festival today with the family. I found admission tickets on Groupon, which were $8 from the typical $13 per person, and included a free gyro/souvlaki/zorba sandwhich. The festival was pretty busy. Thankfully there were plenty of staff working the food lines so that the wait was not ridiculously long. We tried the gyro, zorba sandwhich, greek salad, spanakopita, string beans and rice, stuffed grape leaves, rice pudding, and galaktoboureko. The gyro was eh. I have definitely had way better. I was not a fan of the zorba sandwich. My grandmother was content with her spanakopita (spinach pie) and rice and string beans. The stuffed grape leaves were pretty good. I also liked the rice pudding but not the galaktoboureko. The fair was quite small. There were rides for children as well as souvenirs and clothing, plus greek goodies for sale. The concept was nice but I got my fill. Probably not returning again. This is good for families with small kids.
