This is a great church with great people, balanced, with good teaching, theology, music, liturgy, and community. They’ve recently moved to a new site (out of the Botanical Garden, to downtown) because they are growing too large for that space. My family and I have been part of this community since 2017 and have been members almost as long.

I knew the first Sunday I attended about 5 years ago - I was "home". I had finally found the church community I had been looking for over 20 years. ❤️STAC! Now we have outgrown our old stomping grounds at the Botanical Gardens and are now celebrating worship together as a whole church for one service at the Foundry Building behind the Classic Center in downtown Athens. Such a great central location for all of our congregants coming from all directions, with great restaurants at our doorstep for after church fellowship. We are a vibrant growing church within the Athens and surrounding communities.👏

The great worship services have caused St. Thomas to outgrow the beautiful Day Chapel venue at the Botanical Garden. The new venue at 130 Foundry Street in downtown Athens provides the needed growth space and is very conveniently located.

After hopping around Athens trying to find a warm, welcoming, scriptural based Church, I found my Church home at St. Thomas Anglican Church six years ago. I have watched it grow to its current location on Foundry Street, behind the Classic Center. Come join us.

So thankful for my church family at St. Thomas and grateful that the Lord has provided this new space at the Foundry Street Building after our long and beautiful time at the garden. It’s wonderful to have SO much space.

What a surreal experience. The reverent, antiphonal worship while viewing the large trees through the glass in the beautiful sanctuary, with the kindest, most sincere clergy. It was like going to church in Lothlorien from Lord of The rings. I will never forget my experience here. The clergy were down to earth, real, and even funny. They had a team to pray for folks in need at the end. God bless this glorious church! 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

The church is new and people are comfortable to visit because the people are welcoming and kind. There are young couples with children and single people of all ages. It's a great mix of people who want to love God with heart, mind, spirit and strength. Worship involves responsive reading and singing from a printed booklet. It is easy to follow along and easy to keep up even if just visiting. People tend to wear jeans and nice tops. There are a lot of people who used to go to episcopal or baptist churches.

Recently began attending the outdoors "Simple Services" since we can't gather in the chapel due to the Covid Virus. Everyone that I have met thus far have been wonderful! Father Daniel has been most helpful and welcoming as I transition from my lifelong denomination, answering my numerous questions and introducing me to my local "Simple Service" hosts. I'm genuinely excited about the opportunity to eventually worship with everyone in the beautiful Day Chapel.
