Stabler Shimokitazawa Meatsand

It was wow! I was doubting that sandwiches would look exactly like in the pictures. But they do!!! It was absolutely delicious! Very fast, it took them about 5 minutes to prepare my order. There’s cheese meat small size at the pictures.

The steak is well cooked and seasoned with a full of flavors. A few were little chewy but enough to taste the core heart of the meat flavor! The toast was crisp going well with the steaks. Coke is a must. Worth a try for anyone for a long day walk! Music vibe is a plus!

Kinda-sorta flavorful sandwich, disappointingly "ruined" by the incredible toughness of the meat. Coffee was warmed up coffee. There's potential, but to me this was brutally mid food. Pickle was good.

The sandwich was great, especially the meat. If you're a spicy enthusiasts like myself, I would discourage you from ordering the sandwich marked as the spiciest, because the only special treatment it gets is a bunch of ordinary grounded chilly dusted on top of the meat when everything is done cooking (or maybe it was cayenne pepper). The flavor of the original one was better so I'd recommend that. I would also suggest to not be on a schedule when coming here, because they are understaffed and it took around 45 minutes to get seated and get our order.

The restaurant seats around 10 people, with a 15-minute wait after ordering the JPY 1,800 Stabler Sandwich. The sandwich presentation matches most photos but resembles a convenience store sandwich—meat on the visible side, bread on the non-visible side. It's wrapped in butcher paper and taped, making it difficult to open cleanly for eating. The meat, while flavorful, consists of diced steak that is rough and chewy. This leads to pieces falling out rather than being cleanly separated with each bite, resulting in a messy eating experience of pieces falling out. The bread is regular sliced bread, lightly toasted, but it dries out quickly and lacks balance with the meat as I was ripping it apart with my mouth take bites. Overall, the sandwich may be novel, but it doesn't warrant repeated visits. A great sandwich allows all elements—bread, meat, condiments, and other fillings—to be enjoyed easily and cleanly in one bite. This sandwich fails to achieve any of that.

Small place, the staff wasn’t very nice. Ordered the egg and the regular size beef sandwich. The mustard sauce was very good. The meat came over cooked- well done, the meat was chewy not like the photo. The egg came cold (there wasn’t many people- it is possible to cook it hot and not pre made). Also order ginger ale and got alot off ice with not alot of drink.

Almost everytime I am in Shimo-kitazawa，I think about this place. It was drizzling, waited less than 15 minutes. The new steak with chilies was not hot at all, tasted good. They were keeping the standard with the other 2 sandwiches. A really nice break after walking a while in the rain. Just the place is a bit small.

The food looks visually appealing, but it’s barely edible. The meat is incredibly tough because they used the wrong cut for the sandwich, making it extremely chewy. If you want the food to be useful at all try to wash it down with the fries next door! They actually use seasoning. The owner, after serving us the food, advised us to move away from the front of the restaurant and not eat there.
