Brings back memories having come here 20y ago and guess what the wheat germ pancakes are as good as ever and the staff are the nicest people in the world. Really amazed i came here 3x this week on a trip and loved it (ordered pancakes each time). Thanks team!!

Haven’t had stacks in YEARS! My team orders breakfast once a week for our in person meetings and we’ve had crepevine, Joanie’s and bills cafe and none of them compare to the FLAVOR of stacks. The others lack in flavor, to the point where I swore I wouldn’t order breakfast anymore! I ate half my omelette but took a pic to share. My only complaint is the non toasted bagel.

Excellent breakfast, large portions, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. We chose the lumberjack pancakes, 3 stack and the Mexican omelette, both were delicious.

The Briggsly Waggler apprentice was dropped off at Piggsly Parmuckles hair salon, The Racette Weaver there on Primrose Lane, and then I went straight to STACKS Menlow Park for a couple of their world famous Tuna Melt sandos! Man-O-Man are they great! 5 stars every time! ☆☆☆☆☆

When in Menlo Park,try Stacks restaurant.Gery good breakfast n lunch items I had the hamburger melt with fries n a side salad Also had a diet Coke.The service here is wonderful and the food is yummy

First the good. The service was fast and pleasant. Now the bad. This is beyond a doubt the worst Stacks I have visited. And I have eaten here multiple times. One word would describe the place “MEDIOCRE”. It’s like a restaurant run on autopilot and nobody really cares about doing things better. This time I had the bagel and lox. Only a store style plain bagel, thinly sliced tomatoes and onions. Wasn’t awful, but was far from good. Whomever manages this place should step it up.

Good for breakfast. They serve coffee in a carafe so you can have multiple cups. Lots of Omelets choices and a variety of of Pancakes. Several locations and usually seating is easy except on weekend

It’s a breakfast place, but I went there for lunch. I got the classic breakfast and it was made really nicely. I also got the strawberries on pancakes which were good. The day was nice so we sat outside and got good vibes. Overall pretty chill place with some nice casual eats. Wasn’t super busy and wasn’t that expensive either; nice

This place has always been a great go-to for breakfast, and it never disappoints! The vibe is cozy, with homestyle cooking that's comforting and satisfying. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, even when we come in with a big group. Sure, food can take a bit longer with a large party, but that's completely understandable. When I am with a bigger group, I usually order something small like their shoestring fries to share so no one is waiting hungry! Which by the way, their shoestring fries are delicious! So simple but that crispy crunch is just the way I like it. There's a huge variety on the menu, and honestly, you can't go wrong with any choice. My friends and I like to kick things off with mimosas and they always hit the spot! For food, I rotate between the Stacks open-faced breakfast sandwich which is one of my favorites, the triple berry waffle when I'm craving something sweet, and their eggs Benedict, which are scrumptious. Their hollandaise sauce are so creamy, flavorful, and just melt in your mouth. Overall, it's exactly what you'd expect from a good diner: simple, comforting, nothing too fancy, and it works perfectly. If you are looking for simplicity yet delicious food then come here!

I've been to several different Stacks's restaurants from San Francisco, to the ones on the Peninsula and was greatly disappointed with the (lack) of Service and food. We ate early (9:30am) on a Friday morning and sat outside. At this time and during our stay, the restaurant was not busy indoors out outside as we were the only one of 3 tables occupied out if about 25 total. The Hostess didn't great us (fine, maybe didn't want to be there??) but at least allowed us to choose the table. The waitress-Emma came a few minutes later and didn't appear to be interested in either working that day or taking our order. We requested non dairy for our coffee and were told there would be a small charge (really?, non-dairy option for our coffee??). It came in a 3 ounce container. We ordered the Lumberjack pancake, Vegi omelette with home made shredded hash browns, plus 2 eggs and beacon. We've ordered their famous Lumberjack pancakes many times in the past and the ones we had that morning wasn't the same in looks and taste as we had in the past at all other Stack's location. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The Vegi omelet had very little vegetables anda food items were served semi warm so believe it was sitting on under warming lights fur a while as in previous visits to other Stack's locations, good was served hot. The waitress only checked on us well after we finished our meals. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this Stack's location for the reasons above.

Good food, decent prices and hefty serving size. The first time I went, I had the Corned Beef Hash House with scrambled eggs, which comes with a plain bagel. Last week a few of us dined inside and had a wonderful waiter named Mario or Marco. He was a pleasure during our dining experience. This time I ordered the Canitas and Onions Skillet. It was tasty, but they only had one chunk of carnitas, so I only enjoyed it the second day as leftovers. My lunchmates had the California Eggs Benedict and the other had Frech Toast with a side of bacon and maple syrup (extra is charged for the syrup). Both of them devoured their food. Here's What I Think... I'll be back again.

Service was pretty fast even it was busy. Serving size was just right. We got a mimosa flight to share and the kiwi flavor was my favorite. I ordered a bacon&onion skillet and my bf ordered a traditional breakfast sandwich. We both enjoyed our food and were pretty satisfied.

Service was good. Fast and friendly. Coffee was ok, loved having a carafe at the table. I ordered the granola yogurt fruit. It was ok. Big portion. Husband got the eggs Benedict which he thought was better than other local breakfast joints. Prices fair, ambiance nice.

Probably the most expensive pancakes I've ever had. Basic, nothing special, insanely over priced. By the way, syrup is an additional charge. Don't need to go back.

After 7 years from moving out of the bay-- we decided to try stacks again while we visited! We were not disappointed! There's a little wait but the restaurant has plenty of tables to seat people! The service was wonderful! Our waitress was quick and nice! The food servings were big and delicious! I liked that they serve the whole menu at all times. I had the tuna melt and it was delicious!!!!!! Their pancakes were fluffy and the Belgian waffles were delicious! I'm glad we came back!

Came as a large party over 20 people and I appreciate that they were able to accommodate all of us. We were a big party so it's understandable that our order will take longer than other tables. Our servers were so nice and attentive. The service was great but I thought the food was okay. Nothing really stood out to me. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs but it looks like they just threw the scrambled eggs on top. I think presentation could've been better but the service made up for it.

This is a busy, home style cafe with an expansive menu to choose from. I love eggs Benedict so I decided to try their crab version and it was not good, honestly only had a few bites because i was hungry. The potatoes weren't anything extraordinary. I tried the green goddess smoothie too which was not bad tasting but it was very chunky and I was chewing most of it. I wasn't expecting it to be super mind blowing or anything considering this place isn't a smoothie joint but it was still okay. Not sure if I would return here for the prices of my food

Stacks has been one of my favorite breakfast spots for a while, but I'm switching locations now. Our food definitely tasted like it was reheated, which was a letdown. On top of that, our server Ana was pretty rude. I don't usually want to bring up race, but it felt relevant--especially since it was almost closing time and there were lots of people still in the restaurant and we were the only different race. I was still eating when Ana came over with the check, and unlike other tables, she didn't say anything about taking our time. She just stood there with the payment device like she wanted us to pay right away. We also weren't offered any to-go boxes or refills. Honestly, her service really spoiled the experience, and because of that, we won't be coming back to this Stacks location.

Solid place to have breakfast/brunch in Menlo Park. Crepes are solid, nothing too amazing. Service is good and fast.

Came here today after a doctors appointment. The hubby had the Farmers Breakfast and I had the Egg Tacos. First off, the service was excellent. We were greeted at the door as we walked in and seated right away. The waiter came and took our order in a timely fashion. While we were there a variety of employees checked up on us. The Farmers Breakfast was large and my husband had plenty to take home with him. The Egg Tacos is a smaller plate and because I was starving ate the whole thing. My hash browns were delicious. My tacos were ok, I thought they'd have a more Mexican flavor. It did come with salsa, but there were no Mexican spices in the tacos themselves. I did eat them all and wasn't hungry afterwards. I tried my husbands pancakes and they were Delicious! Next time I'm getting something that includes the pancakes!!

The only redeeming quality of this place is the staff, who are polite and attentive. Unfortunately, the food leaves much to be desired and fails to meet expectations.

Easily my favorite breakfast place. Every Server is kind with and they are efficient. Ive been here so many times and the food is always great. Nothing boujee, just great food. They are wicked fast, too. Thank you for the great meals!

We stopped for breakfast after going to the farmers market. In spite of the fact they were packed, we were quickly seated. Our waiter quickly took our order. Our food was ready quickly, and was as ordered: a Greek omelette, and a yogurt sundae. Every meal comes with potatoes and bagels, which is nice as I used my omelette to make a breakfast sandwich. The portions are large, and we were stuffed. The food is good, but nothing special. Our service was great until we tried to pay and we had to wait 10 minutes to get our check. Overall it was a good breakfast.

Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Great balance of different ingredients for the sandwiches- pickles/salad/fruit cuts the heaviness of the sandwich and fries. Service was very quick and attentive. Didn't wait no longer than 10 min before the food came out. Ample parking in the back, first three hours are free. Good amount of people eating here, which says a lot. People seem very satisfied with their first meal of the day.

Chicken wasn't blackened, fries were cold. Quality was mid. Never coming again. Waitress dropped off our food and never refilled our waters.

I called to make a reservation and was shocked that it was possible! When we arrived, they sat half our party & weren't bothered that the other half was 20ish minutes late. I thought this was incredible in this day & age. The service was swift to order, the food to arrive & the bill to be made. I highly enjoyed the potato skillet & the pancakes were super fluffy! It is a bustling brunch spot with an efficient turnover. I would def return here especially since reservations are feasible. The restrooms are interesting on a separate floor for which you have to take an elevator and use a door key code. This is tricky with young children. Nevertheless, not a deterrent.

Disappointing! We came in around 1:30, when they were not busy. Waited for 15 minutes for the server, until I finally went inside and asked the hostess if someone would come to take our order. Food was less than mediocre. Omelette were dry, amount of veggies in omelettes were scant and half cooked, fried potatoes were dry and tasteless.

My all-time favorite breakfast place! Love the people and the food. I've probably eaten everything on the menu at least once and everything is delicious. The pancakes and waffles are especially good! My daughter is an athlete so she has a customized order that they've memorized at this point. It's always perfect!

Oh god where do I start, the quality of food has gone down SO MUCH in the last five years. I ordered the bacon cheese and egg tacos and there was no egg to be found, just cheese and bacon gristle, really disgusting. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Always our family's favorite, we were seated right away, the good food came not long after we ordered and the staff consistently made sure we were attended to. My gf took the rest of her order home and her parents loved it. Thank you, Stacks Menlo Park.

This place has a nice vibe. We visited on Sunday for brunch, it was very busy. We got seated in around 15-20 mins. Pancakes were really yummy , blueberry syrup was warm and fresh also not overly sweet. I took eggs Benedict - Louise. It was perfectly done and I loved the taste. Pesto omelette was nice but we may prefer bit more seasoning to it. Side potatoes were really really good ! Taking away one star because since it was too busy you may want to wait longer just to find server. May be they need more servers to accommodate that much crowd. Overall good experience, we would love to visit again.

Very surprised none of the cooks use gloves. They make your salads and food with their bare hands. Which is kind of gross in 2025. Nice atmosphere, parking is kind of difficult, I chose to leave once I saw the cooks were not using gloves. It's just my personal preference as I don't like people touching my food with their bare hands. If you don't mind that, then you may like this place. I'm a bit OCD about that so it doesn't work for me.

Really really good Chicken Fried steak! And the sizes of these meals are huge! Staff was super nice and very attentive even at peak hours! The seating was very comfortable and was even able to fit my group of 6 people in 1 booth!

Decides to try the Menlo Park one for the first time. From the moment we walked in the door, everyone seemed depressed and annoyed. Maybe everyone had a case of the Mondays, but I've worked as a server in a restaurant and this was just bad. It seemed like we were a bother when we were kind, polite and cordial the entire time. Not sure if they just hate working there but we never checked on or asked how our food was (it was so-so) The Redwood City Stacks is way, way better in both quality of the food and quality of service.

It was alright they brought me and my friend the wrong food and we had to use an elevator to the bathroom

Wooooow so worth it coming here! Fast service, no wait time (Friday morning), great food! I got the strawberry waffle with a side of hash browns and it tasted so fresh! I'm unsure if the make everything from scratch, but the cream tasted that way. It was really refreshing. And the give you what you should be getting for the fruit unlike dennys and other places that give you two strawberries for your entire waffle. I also got the mocha and it tasted exactly like the one I get from Starbucks and it's a few bucks cheaper! Sweet! 10/10

Decided to try the tuna sandwich. It was okay, I think it could use more flavor in my opinion but it was good. I liked the sweet potato fries. The salad I honestly I'm not a fan. The zucchini was not cooked all the way. My father and my brother ate in doors and they said the service was great, fast service and they only waited about 10 minutes. Overall good customer service.

Went here recently for a brunch with my co-workers (team brunch). I am vegetarian and I don't eat eggs so ordering brunch is usually a long and uncomfortable conversation for me lol. I ended up asking them to make an avo toast for me and got a glass of OJ. The OJ was really nice, fresh and yum! The service was good overall as I saw everyone's order come up pretty quickly. I was however disappointed by the avo toast. The avocado was stale and they put cucumbers and tomatoes with avo slices between two slices of bread. Not very well put together, didn't look appetizing or fresh :( They have a side of hash browns which had a weird taste (probably the oil was weird or something that it tasted metallic in a few bites) and a little side cup of fruits which clearly looked stale or from last night :( I would not want to go here again. Reminded of a typical american breakfast/ brunch place with no care about how fresh and good the food looks/ tastes.

We came here at 11 am on a Saturday and we were seated immediately. In the past I've ordered a lumberjack pancake and really enjoyed it but this time we ordered a triple berry pancake which is quite different: instead of butter they have whipped cream on top and there are less ingredients embedded inside the pancake. Service is a bit slow but this place is usually packed for brunch so it's understandable. I've enjoyed coming here over the last 8 years so it gets my full 5* recommendation.

Amazing service, ambiance and food, I go at least once a week to eat breakfast and the experience has been great. Thank you Stacks for our weekly breakfast.

This used to be one of my college favorite brunch spots so I wanted to give it another visit. Since the last time I was here, they added some new dishes. We opted to try the triple berry pancakes and the side of potatoes. The triple berry pancakes were fluffy and light and filled with berries inside. They were also topped with whipped cream and additional berries. It might have been nice to have some butter on these pancakes. I enjoyed these with their maple syrup. The side of potatoes were thinly sliced potato strips that had been slightly grilled. The potatoes could have used some additional seasoning and could have been crispier. We arrived around 10:45 am on a Saturday and our party of 4 was immediately seated. Service was quick and efficient but I did notice our server struggle to obtain the syrup dispenser for about 5-10 minutes.

Really nice place with optional outdoor seating. The service was excellent. The food was good cooked very well, and served rather quick. My waiter Angel was very attentive and made sure we comfortable in all our needs. I don't get to make it out to Menlo Park often, but best believe I will consider this place an option for dining.

The Food is really Great ! The ambience is so cozy we really love it every weekend we had our breakfast here at Stacks Menlo Park. The service is awesome the Waitress Emma is so cheerful and friendly to us always and she knows us already .

Stacks, it's been more than a decade since we last feasted. I was a dorky college kid who was in denial about his gluten-free allergies. Now in 2022, Stacks has glowed up and gotten a full gluten-free menu for people like me. And the menu is no joke! Majority of the regular menu has gluten-free alternatives. Also, I didn't have to spend racks on racks on racks for some stacks on stacks on stacks. Never have I ever had a bacon-infused waffle! That's some new new!!! That's called growth, innovation, talent, my friends. Stanford students, please come here during and well after your college career. It was awesome and nostalgic to eat at such an iconic place with your old college buddies. You are never too old for good friends, good food, and a good time. Thanks, Stacks.

Great Food and Great Service! The Waiters are always helpful and attentive even when it's busy. The Chicken Dijon sandwich is too die for would recommend.

For all the time that I've lived here, this was the first time I went to this restaurant. I've passed by many times but didn't think to go here. I do know, however, how amazing the food is! I took my girlfriend and her friends here for breakfast. The service was great, fast, and the food was tasty. The ambiance of the restaurant was relaxed and lively. We enjoyed our meals and almost didn't finish it all but we powered through It's always best to make reservations but walk-ins ARE welcome. Similar to the branch in San Carlos, this one also has plant based options which are delicious!

After dining at Stacks, I understand the popularity! Large selection, big portions, and craveable flavors. The bacon in my BLT was cooked to perfection and loved the whole grain bread. Slim portion for my added avocado, so I likely wouldn't upgrade again. Sweet potato fries were delish, and my plate came with a small cup of fruit and chopped side salad. I look forward to returning for breakfast fare. Prices were on the higher side but the portion size made them seem reasonable. Free three hour parking in the public parking lot around the corner.

It's my first time trying this location, and I was impressed. The mask mandate was lifted last week, so we were a little relaxed and got in the habit of walking around without our masks. We stopped in at Stacks and were quite embarrassed to find that masks were still required. But the waitress who greeted us said it's not a problem, and we were welcome to eat outdoors, which was my preference anyway. They have some nice outdoor seating with large umbrellas. Their menu is quite large, but I always go for the standard breakfast items. Pancakes are a must! What we ordered: + Chicken and waffles: the chicken was so crispy and tender, and the waffles were light and delicious. You get a choice of sauces: honey mustard, ranch, or BBQ, but hubby went for the maple syrup lol. + Farmer's breakfast: this is my favorite because you get a little of everything: 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, 2 bacon slices, 2 eggs, and fried potatoes. Glad we found another Stacks location to enjoy.

Go to redwood city one. It's better. Service is good and it's the same breakfast spot vibe as usual. I've been getting pancakes here the few times I've come and the last two times the pancakes were completely raw in the center but fine on the outside. I thought it was a one time experience.. then it happened again. I'll come again another time and see if it happens again and will adjust the review accordingly.

Delicious gluten free blueberry waffles!! Just what I was hoping for!! I enjoyed every bite!

Very disappointing food and service. I visit the Burlingame Stacks all the time. This stacks location is not comparable. I ordered a veggie skillet with poached eggs. My food was not properly cooked. The veggies were raw and the egg whites were not set. In addition, my skillet had no potatoes. When I told a staff member that my skillet was missing potatoes and asked for potatoes, he insisted that it had potatoes and wanted to come see for himself? It was really odd that he did not believe me. After bringing my potatoes, my server approached me in the middle of my meal to tell me that I actually ordered my skillet without potatoes (I did not lol). This was even more odd. He interrupted me after the problem was solved to basically insist that I was at fault. It was unnecessary and very unpleasant. Won't be back.

Food is delicious and the farmer's breakfast is my favorite breakfast meal. It's guaranteed to fill you up and you feel stuffed afterwards. It's a perfect meal under $25. It's worth every cent. Thanks Stacks

Great food and excellent service! Parking on the street so wherever you can, but well worth it!

Came here for breakfast with friends. Nice low key diner which has all the basics. Been here a few times and will most likely be back again when I'm too lazy to cook. The bagel they give you is great to eat with the omelette, skillet, etc. Easy to only eat half and save leftovers for another day.

Good portion. Food was flavorful and definitely hit the spot after a busy night at work. Plenty of condiments on the table to enhance your meal. A good breakfast of sweet and savory with the Nutella Strawberry Banana Toast and Corned Beef House Hash. Staff was nice and always checked on us to make sure everything was alright. Indoor and outdoor seating. Parking below and on the street. Plenty of public lots around as well.
