The Essential Guide to Dana Point, California

Stacks Pancake House is one of our go to spots. First thing I always recommend are the ube pancakes. They are unreal. Fluffy, moist, packed with ube flavor, and topped with this ube cream and whipped cream that is honestly perfect. Sweet but not too sweet. Easily one of my favorite pancake plates anywhere. Next is the Kalua pork omelet. They load it with tons of pork and it has amazing flavor in every bite. The potatoes on the side are crispy, salty, and just really well done. Add a little cholula and it is game over. It also pairs really well with their lily koi drinks which I love. This time I wanted to switch it up and finally try their crab omelet. Same experience. Great flavor and a crazy amount of crab. They actually include a full mini crab on the plate so you get that crunchy bite which was super fun and surprisingly good. I was really happy with it. My wife ordered the crab fried rice which is one of her favorites. The crab freaked her out at first but the rice itself is always flavorful and such a huge portion that she always takes some home. Service here is always quick and everyone is super kind. It is just an easy, reliable breakfast spot that always delivers exactly what you hope for. Always recommend it.

Love this place! It's such a treat. Lots of good choices. We had the veggie omelet with pancakes and split it between the two of us. It's SO much food! My hubby had the meat lovers with fruit. Coffee is great too. She had chai. This place is definitely worth the price.

Google
Food I feel like many different items were added to the menu the last decade or so. I did enjoy the omelet with avocado, banana pancakes were great, and the potatos needed some seasong. As well as the kalua pork needed some more flavor. Service Very fast service from all the pretty ladies that work here. Our food was served pretty quick as we only had 3-4 groups in front of us when we placed our orders, but our family members that joined us later had to wait a bit longer as they had about 8-10 groups of people in front of them when they placed their ordered. Atmoshphere Nice atmosphere, just one of the customers was a bit loud when talking. Had a great time, just feel some of the food items need some improvement. Also, if possible add lemon or limes to your inventory, and add freshly squeezed smoothies/juices to your menu. Thank you. 🙂

Google
First off this is one of the cleanest restaurants I have seen. The staff was on top of it. We can't wait to visit again. Their menu had a good amount of choices.

Google
Thought it was going to be like a little restaurant, but you get in line order at the register get a number and wait at your table. Place is tiny. Only one restroom. And overpriced for what it actually is. Lowkey worst $20 Denver omlette I've ever had 😬 you only get one side & most side options have a surcharge 😑 I didn't even get a drink pookies

I love this place. My kids said here pancakes are the best in Irvine, and my sister said here coffee is so good. Staff are so kind too. Also, very clean and the song that comes out when you eat inside is really good.

Google
This is a fantastic casual spot for brunch! We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was enjoyable. The Club House Avocado was especially tasty, with fresh avocado and flavorful turkey. The Stacks Cheeseburger stood out thanks to the rich combination of caramelized onions and Portuguese sausage. And for something sweet, the ube pancake hit the spot—perfect for satisfying my sweet tooth!

Google
One of my favorite breakfast place. Wide variety of breakfast items to select. I suggest to come before 8am to avoid the crowed.

Yelp
We ate here with my cousins family for breakfast and really enjoyed the food. We got several items that we all shared including a breakfast burrito, spam musubis, french toast, and loco moco. I personally liked the loco moco the best, but all of it was very good. I wouldn't say that it was the best breakfast burrito I ever had, or the best spam musubi or best french toast, but all of the items are solid. If we're looking for a breakfast place with a Hawaii preference, we definitely go to this place again.

Yelp
First, let me say that the food tastes great. It's the staff that is having issues. They either need hearing aids or customer need to repeat the order to insure accuracy. I just spent $41.60 with tip for an order I did not want. The order taker just looked and tried to explain but she did acknowledge our conversation. So, if you dare to come and eat their tasty food - make sure they get your order correct before paying.

Yelp
Stacks Pancake House reminded me of Aloha Stacks I visited at Mission Viejo and RSM. Similar menu, similar style of ordering and serving. The Culver location has many tables outdoors shared by eateries nearby. I enjoyed the CBH omelette I ordered. It came with a small serving of salsa which is pretty tasty. I had a bite of Portuguese sausage which is good too. There is only one size of coffee available but you can get free refill if you want to take the time to see the cashier at the counter. The ordering line could be long depending on when you arrive. Fortunately it moves pretty fast. We were able to grab a couple of adjacent tables for our large party. Overall it was a good breakfast experience.

Yelp
As someone from Hawai'i, I try not to have high expectations for Hawaiian food. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this place! My friend got the Kalua Pork Omelette and Buttermilk Pancakes. The kalua pork was soft, tender, flavorful, and not too salty. He really enjoyed the potatoes and pancakes as well, saying it "tasted like Liliha Bakery back home". I'm knocking down one star for my order of Spicy Chicken + Bacon Waffle. It wasn't awful, but the combination of flavors was definitely overwhelming and strange. The fried chicken was coated in cheese and spicy mayo, which was way too heavy on top of the thick buttery waffle. The ingredients tasted great individually and would have much much better served separately. I might come back another time and try something more simple/classic, because my friend's dish was great and the workers were really nice. :)

Yelp
Haven't been to stacks in a while, brought my sister here to try their pancakes which were DELICIOUS! The buttermilk pancakes were fluffy, not too oily, and you can adjust the sweetness with maple syrup. I got the breakfast egg burrito which was pretty good, I just think the potato's were a bit too mushy. Salsa = yum. We also got the Katsu Curry, would not order again Let me just say, the portion sizes are amazing for the price! You do order at the counter and it gets crowded. Seating is limited indoors so many sit outside. Would definitely come again to try the Huevos Ranchos plate and the other pancakes flavors!!

Yelp
Tried this place out on a Saturday around 11:30 AM -- right in the middle of peak brunch rush. It's located in the heart of a super busy plaza, and between the foot traffic and packed parking lot, it was chaotic. You order at the counter and then try to snag a table. I got lucky -- someone was leaving just as I walked in, so I was able to slide into their table right away. Otherwise, it might've been a bit of a wait. I went with my girlfriend and two friends, and between the four of us, we ordered: * Spicy Chicken Bacon Waffle (plus a side of corned beef hash) * Banana Nutella Crepe * Chicken Katsu Plate I'll start with the spicy chicken bacon waffle. I'm someone who really doesn't usually like mixing sweet and savory, but I actually really enjoyed this. We didn't add any syrup, which probably helped, but the spicy sauce paired with the crispy chicken worked really well. The bacon added a good salty crunch that rounded it all out. One thing to note: it came absolutely smothered in cheese, which we weren't expecting. Not a bad thing, but if you're not a fan of cheesy breakfast items, maybe ask if you can get it without. The corned beef hash on the side was a great call -- savory, crispy, and well-seasoned. Just a solid hash, and I'd 100% get it again. As for the banana Nutella crepe -- not a banana fan myself, but I tried a bite and thought the crepe itself was tasty and cooked perfectly. If I were to get it again, I'd probably go with strawberries or another fruit, but it definitely hits the sweet tooth if you're into that combo. The surprise standout was the chicken katsu plate. I didn't expect much from a breakfast joint doing katsu, but it was genuinely really good. Crispy, juicy, and not greasy. It shows they do more than just breakfast well -- their menu has range. Even with the crowd and slow-moving line, I appreciated the vibe. The food came out at a decent speed once we ordered, and everything we tried was well executed. The only downside was the hectic atmosphere -- it's very busy, so just know what you're getting into. That said, I'd definitely come back, just with a little more planning around timing (or on a weekday). Great spot if you're craving both comfort breakfast foods and some curveball options done right.

Yelp
What an disappointment. We went to Stacks the day after Xmas. Orders our normal dish and both has home friend potatoes. One of my children starts to complain the home friend potatoes had a wired after taste. I happen to pick up another potatoes from my plate. Obviously, it is a "rotten" pieces of potatoes. I immediately went to the counter and with the half bitten potatoes, one of the lady took a smell, and immediately throw in the trash. They are soon offer a replacement on the two side potatoes. As luck has it, the first bite on the replace potatoes, it was another "rotten" piece. It has to be very rotten that a fryer cannot covered the taste. I went back and show them the piece again. once again, they offered to "replace" the potatoes. Of course, I won't want any more potatoes from that place. They should throw out all the cooked potatoes and start from scratch. I have total 4 sides, from different time point and they are all bad. Unfortunately, they didn't any action. No money back, no warning to the kitchen. I would be very interested to know if anyone got sick from the rotten potatoes.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We had the Guava toffee French toast and the advocado and spinach eggs benedict. All the staff working there were friendly and nice. Great breakfast location.

Yelp
Was looking forward to trying this Hawaiian fusion brunch spot but it fell short. You walk up to the counter, order and pay, and someone brings out your food! My pancakes were lovely but my iced macadamia latte tasted watered down. Eggs and bacon were standard. Tried my friend's ube pancakes and was not a fan. The ube sauce is smothered on top and it overpowered the poor pancakes. For the price, everything was just decent. Their savory options look promising so maybe I'll give Stacks another chance next time.

Yelp
Food was fantastic!! Great friendly service. Reminded us of places we go to in Hawaii. Will definitely go back. Mahalo

Yelp
Saturday, October 21, 2023 Stacks is always a fan favorite. Your typical breakfast comfort food for Pacific Islanders. They have great waffles and French toast. Service is full of kind staff even when they are SLAMMED on the weekends. Would definitely recommend a week day.

Yelp
Came for an early brunch, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I usually get the pancakes or loco moco but I tried the breakfast burrito for the first time. I chose the mixed veggies and it was very filling and healthy! I think next time I want to try the protein option instead but the salsa is refreshing. Burrito definitely needs a kick but nothing tabasco can't solve. Service is very attentive and food came out quick!

Yelp
I wanted to try the biscuits and gravy, but it was discontinued. So I got the country fried steak with gravy and eggs. And side of sourdough bread. It was sad the gravy was overpowered with pepper. The spicy chicken waffle and egg was better. We also got a Hawaiian drink as well and poured it into the cup Service was quick and they were nice.

Yelp
Stacks is the perfect casual breakfast/brunch spot! You wait in line which gives you plenty of time to browse their huge menu of items, order, and then claim a table. They have indoor and outdoor seating! Their breakfast items are Hawaiian inspired and have so many unique flavors to choose from. - Spicy Chicken Waffle: 8.9/10. GET THIS!!! This is my go-to item at Stacks, especially when I can't choose between a savory or sweet breakfast. Spicy, cheesy, saucy fried chicken on a sweet belgian waffle. This offers the best of both worlds. Tastes even better after adding tapatio/hot sauce AND maple syrup. - White lava pancakes: 8.9/10. GET THIS!!! This is my favorite sweet item on the menu. It's banana pancakes topped with a delicious white lava sauce. It's surprisingly not too sweet and you can adjust the amount of sauce you dip each bite of pancake with. Perfect the way it comes. - Fruity Pebbles French Toast: 7.5/10. I love how the fruity pebble crusted french toast comes with a milk like sauce. No need for extra syrup or anything. Perfectly tasty and sweet as is! Definitely on the sweeter side. - Captain Mac Nut: 7.0/10. Captain Crunch coated french toast ?! Such a unique dish. I wish it had a similar milk-like sauce to the Fruity Pebbles french toast because alone it is a little dry or needs syrup for extra sweetener. Still love the captain crunch flavor though! - Kalbi Aloha Plate: 7.0/10. Delicious, but very normal dish. You can get kalbi and rice at any korean restaurant, so I would definitely recommend trying their other unique/signature dishes.

Yelp
Got some brunch here with a few friends before our trip to San Diego. Being born and raised from Hawai'i, I always find myself reaching for comfort food every now and then to get my fix. I've been brunching a lot so I decided to get something a little different from my usual. Chicken Katsu is a classic and I always find myself reminiscing about L&L from time to time. I'll start with the pros... portions here are generous... and this place is dog friendly so I was able to sit with my fur baby outside. Cons.. I thought the katsu was just okay, even in light of the portion size, I am not certain I'd be willing to pay $20 for "okay" katsu. To be honest, I don't really like chicken katsu made from chicken breast... it doesn't really hit for me. The sauce seemed like the store bought bulldog katsu sauce and is a little too tart for my liking. But the mac salad was pretty good and so was the homemade POG. My friends got loco moco and corned beef hash and enjoyed it so those might be better dishes reflective of the restaurant quality. Service was quick and efficient and the wait time for food was very minimal. I would probably only consider this place if I was in a time crunch and needed a quick bite.

Yelp
Came here with one of my girl friends for brunch and the food/service were both amazing! They do have a pretty wide selection of menu items that are not specific to pancakes. But, being that it was my first time there, I had such a hard time choosing what I wanted because everything sounded delicious. Eggs Benedict? Ube pancakes? Loco Moco? Breakfast burrito? Chilaquiles? Burger? They literally have something for everyone's taste buds. I ended up ordering the Hibachi Steak & Eggs with a side of home fried potatoes. Honestly, I was not expecting it to taste as good as it did. My friend ordered the Fitness Omelette with a cup of Hawaiian Latte and she equally enjoyed her food. I'll def be coming back here to try basically the rest of their menu items haha. If you haven't been here before, you're definitely missing out!

Yelp
Stacks Pancake House has great breakfast and brunch foods with a Hawaiian flare! From amazing food to amazing service, this is a great place to go if you're looking for quality food! Stacks is the type of establishment where you order your food first, then find a table and someone will bring you your order. You can find the menu on the wall, and once you make your decision, someone at the cash register will take your order. Everyone that I interacted with here was super friendly and kind. We also did not have to wait long for our food. However, the line can be out the door sometimes, so it's best to time yourself right! The establishment is very clean and classy with a modern diner vibe. The Kalua Pork Benedict was a great choice for a savory option. The Kalua Pork was tender and seasoned and the eggs were perfectly poached and had a good flavor on its own. The side of house potatoes was a great addition and portion to this meal. The star of this meal was the Guava Toffee French Toast. French toast coated in Captain Crunch, drizzled with sour cream, on top of guava syrup, and topped with strawberries combines to make a stellar sweet breakfast item. The French toast itself was very light and fluffy and had an amazing texture and toffee flavor. The guava syrup was not over powering and added a great dimension to this dish. I would totally recommend this dish if you're looking for a sweet breakfast item. Overall, Stacks Pancake House is an amazing spot to go to in Irvine if you're looking for a breakfast or brunch place!

Yelp
While I was on the neighborhood, I tried this place. They have a lot of items on the menu. The foods were great. The service was nice & they brought out our food fast too. The room wasn't big but they have more tables outdoor. It will be my go to place to eat for the future.
google avatar

Steven N.

Yelp
Iced Ube Latte - a little grainy - not enough ube flavor Americano - good Guava Toffee French Toast - captain crunch gives the French toast a good crunch - guava Toffee sauce is tasty Two Eggs & Protein Breakfast (Portuguese Sausage and Home Fried Potatoes) - potatoes are bland - Portuguese Sausage is tasty but some are overcooking

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday morning and there was a line out the door. The line did move very slow but once we sat down the food came out relatively fast. There's not a lot of indoor seating but there's more seating outside. The food is pretty good but just very busy inside. We got the an omelet and it was a pretty good omelet I must say. I definitely wanna come back again and try the rest of their menu and drinks but definitely on a less busy day.
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
Do not let the line deter you! It moves quickly, and if you occupy yourself with the large menu, you'll get to the front in no time. At around 10 am on a Saturday, right at peak- we waited about 35 minutes before we placed our orders and sat down. The eatery itself is pretty tight with tables tightly packed. The outdoor seating is a plus! Parking was also a nightmare, so I'd recommend carpooling during peak times unless you don't mind making loops around the parkade to test your luck and patience. Friendly and attentive service, food came out hot and pretty quickly! We family styled during this brunch, so we tried a few of the popular items. Chicken Katsu Waffle ($14) - Hawaiian style chicken and waffles? YES, please! "Not too sweet" with just enough of the salty crunchy katsu to pair. Would order this again! Kalbi ($21) - We enjoyed their mac salad. The kalbi itself was a tad dry and tough. One of pricier dishes of the meal and it was just under average. Loco Moco ($13) - ground beef patty topped with delicious gravy, opted for sunny side up egg for that runny egg yolk goodness. This was by far a very heart dish. But taste was SO good. Hits all the spots for comfort hawaiian food. Paired with a side of their Portuguese Sausage. ($6) - a definite must! Iced Ube Latte ($5.25) - a touch too sweet for us! We also aren't normally dairy drinkers but they didn't have any alternatives. As viral as the photos look online, we were pretty disappointed with the aesthetic and the taste. Nothing really "ube" taste wise for us here. Crab Fried Rice ($16) - Loads of crab meat in the fried rice, with a beautiful deep fried soft shell crab on top as the best topping! This was my favorite of the luncheon! Super flavorful and a very generous portion!

Yelp
Stacks is definitely a popular spot so be prepared to wait! It took about 20 minutes just to get through the line. You order and pay up front, and then they give you a number for your table. I got the chicken katsu and a lavender latte, and both were pretty good. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the latte had a nice floral hint without being overpowering. One thing I will note is that the restaurant gets very loud inside. It can be hard to hear your conversation, especially during busy hours. If you can grab a seat outside, it's a better experience. Overall, it's a nice spot if you don't mind the wait and the noise.
google avatar

Bobby T.

Yelp
Stacks were delicious. Potatoes were good. Definitely worth stopping by. The vibe was chill and the workers were very friendly.

Yelp
Stacks is SOOOO good! If you're craving a Hawaiian-style breakfast or brunch, this spot is a must. Their Loco Moco and Spam Fried rice are my go-to favorites & the Guava French Toast is a must-try for something on the sweeter side! It's a casual, order-at-the-counter spot where they bring the food to your table. Weekends and peak times can get busy but on weekdays, service is quick and the food is always great! Can't get enough of this place!

Khatia G.

Yelp
Great service, it was easy to place a phone order and pick up. 4 stars because one plate was so bad we had to throw away :( We have been here before and everything has been great while dining in. Great ambience. Would still come back and try something else.
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
Surprisingly there's not that many country fried steak in Irvine! But they had chicken fried steak here. It came with the right amount of gravy and you can upgrade to tater tots. We also got the bacon and eggs combo with one pancake. The pancake was soft and fluffy, pretty good! They are pretty busy and packed on a Saturday, servers were great even though we ate outside!
google avatar

Ena C.

Yelp
Great breakfast/ brunch spot. There is usually a line during peak hours so I suggest getting there early or then 10-11 am or else the line goes through the door. There is a lot of seating outside as well, harder to get seating inside. The food selection is great! There are lots of sweet and savory options so if you prefer one or the other you can find something to enjoy.
google avatar

Lizelle P.

Yelp
I was recommended this place by a fellow mom and so glad that I tried it out. I would say to not expect anything fancy. It's comparable in price and experience to ihop. The menu is extensive and took us a while to make a decision. Everything sounded yumm! Ordered the Eggs Benedict and Crab Omelet. Both were delicious. We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and plain buttermilk and they were devoured by the kids!! They do a refillable coffee which was perfect for me! Although the food came out quick, they do not have coloring pages or activities for kids so bring along your own entertainment. There's indoor and outdoor seating. You order / pay at the cashier and the food is served to you. Really enjoyed the experience with young kids.
google avatar

Yenah J.

Yelp
I don't live in California yet I find myself visiting here everytime I visit. The food is fantastic, and I love the unique menu items. It's a casual spot with a dog-friendly outdoor patio. I particularly like the loco moco and fruity pebbles French toast. We didn't really like the ube pancakes though. Food came out at a decent time and the counter server is friendly. Parking is in the shopping area lot for free.
google avatar

Jin H.

Yelp
Stacks was my entire childhood! I loved coming here specifically for their garden crepes haha. Recently I went back and not sure the quality is the same, but still good for sentimental value and their portions are still amazing. The omurice was a bit of a disappointment but I think anything else here is good
google avatar

Katie T.

Yelp
I got the ube waffle and my friend tried the trio waffle. Usually my go to is the ube pancake, but I decided to try the waffle this time, but I think I will stick to the pancake next time. The waffle was kind of soft and not crispy if that's how you like your waffles, but the flavor was good (same flavor as pancake). Would not recommend matcha ube latte as matcha color is very dull, no matcha flavor, and overly sweet.
google avatar

Harry P.

Yelp
Love the food here. I got the fried rice loco moco and it really hit the spot. I recommend getting the fried rice instead of white rice. Line is long but it actually isn't a long wait. Maybe 25 minutes to wait in line before get your food. Very busy though and parking can be rough.

Yelp
試新嘢 ~ Kalua Pork Omelette + Pancakes + Iced Ube Latte 好少見到 Kalua pork omelette, 幾特別,梗系要試下啦,果然好味道,見到有 Ube Latte, 又系唔會錯過, 正
google avatar

Yelp
Such good pancakes!!!!! I tried the ube waffles my last visit and they come with coconut flakes... theee best. I also got their ube latte, i guess you could say i am a ube lover. I love the quality of the food and it comes out in a reasonable amount of time given how popular they are. You need to try it :)

Yelp
We went to Irvine to visit some friends over the past weekend and this was the breakfast place they chose to meet up. The line was quite long but it moved fairly quickly. You pretty much order, get a number and grab a seat inside/outside the restaurant. I was excited to try their food, especially since their reviews were high. I ordered the Ube Coconut Pancakes and POG juice (pineapple, orange, guava). The pancakes were very soft and wasn't that fluffy. I assume the sauce made it soft and a bit soggy? Couldn't really taste the ube either but did taste the coconut. My husband ordered French Toast and was disappointed when the bacon came out as a side. He also wanted eggs which wasn't part of the order. This was just a user error in my opinion. The toast and bacon were both average. I probably wouldn't recommend these items if it's your first time here.
google avatar

Mandy F.

Yelp
Pineapple! You will see pineapples on the menu to signify popular items. Stacks has Hawaiian and American influences in their breakfast and brunch menus, but what we were there for were the pancakes. I initially was drawn to the Mac Nut pancakes but was recommended the White Lava, which reminded me of a vanilla bread pudding on top of banana based pancakes. The short stack (2 pancakes) were more than enough and satisfied my craving. The garden crepe was also something light and healthier to order. I enjoyed their side salad w a olive oil/peppery base. Food came out quicker than I expected. Staff was kind and on top of cleaning the area. I enjoyed my exp, esp since it was less busy on a Thursday morning.
google avatar

Frank P.

Yelp
Decent breakfast for the price. I had two scrambled eggs with bacon and pancakes. It's not often I eat breakfast type food I'm more of a lunch or dinner person. The food and service was good. If I ever crave breakfast and am nearby, I'd return.

Yelp
the seasonal apple pancakes are so delicious! the portion is large and very filling. its flavorful in every bite, apples are soft filled with sauce, ice cream tastes good and the brown sugar on top really makes everything come together. It's definitely for people who have a sweet tooth because it's very sweet. the katsu with rice and macaroni is pretty good but not special. pancakes are the speciality here! it wasn't crowded and service was quick and friendly. it's a little small but the ambience is nice.
google avatar

Yelp
First time here and oboy it's busy. But still quick service and food was ok. Not the best. But I'll be back to try some other alternative.

Yelp
From start to finish, there was at least an 8 person line when I got there Sunday morning at 1030, the line moved quick! The place was full, clean, good vibes. They have plenty of outdoor seating! The food came out in 20 minutes even though the place was packed! The food was amazing! Affordable prices! The chicken katsu wasn't dry, the macaroni salad was so good & the rice was moist! The French toast was perfect & everything I dreamt of. The avocado omelette was so good too! The pancakes were moist & perfect!

Delicious food Friendly staff Great service Delicious food Friendly staff Great service Clean restrooms We ordered the mac n nut banana short stack pancake and it was quite tasty. We also oeeered the loco moco with katsu and upgraded fried rice. This came with 2 sunny side eggs and gravy. Super delicious. Staff is great. Took our orders quick and the cleanup crew was also good. All tables were cleaned right away so that customers can sit down. Food came out relatively fast. You can tell all the staff here work hard and good as a unit. As this was my first time here at this location I was super impressed. My coffee was refilled several times and it was always full of flavor and piping hot. Definitely coming back here soon.

Yelp
Was craving pancakes I went to Stacks My friend got the Breakfast Melt Sandwich which was amazing! I lowkey should've gotten it. She got bacon with hers and it came with soft and crispy potatoes. The bread is coated with a cheese like crust and the eggs were fluffy. Such a good item I would definitely go back just to get it. I got the strawberries n cream pancake which was delicious as always. The pancakes were fluffy and so many strawberries+whip cream. If you're ever in Irvine, definitely give this place a try‼ One time, I was having a good time with my friend when we got told from the table next to us to quiet down. I felt a bit violated only because it was a public space

Yelp
My family and I eat here about 10-12 times a year for the past 10 years or so. Food is always good and always comfort.

Yelp
This was the best food I've had in a while! It's so difficult to find a place where they pour in love and passion into their food. The service was amazing, quick and friendly. The ambiance is nice and light, we sat outside and the day was so beautiful. I had the island chilaquiles with ribeye The chilaquiles were spicy and flavorful. My eggs were cooked to perfection My partner had the kalua pork Benedict. The kalua pork was melt in your mouth perfection and tender. Hollandaise sauce was creamy and velvet like. We both had the Hawaiin latte, I would come back just for this iced coffee. It's bold and not too sweet, which is what I love about specialty coffees 10/10 would recommend to everyone

Yelp
I loved my pancakes, eggs, and Bacon. My friend also liked her eggs Benedict. There was a line when we arrived, but we got our food pretty quickly! The restaurant was very quick service vibes.

Yelp
This is probably my go to breakfast spot in Irvine and Newport. They've got a great mix of American and Hawaiian style breakfast. I love Hawaiian breakfast so this fits right into what I love. They've got indoor and outdoor seating here. You order and pay at the counter and they bring out your order. My main go to here is the korean short rib with scrambled eggs and rice. Sometimes I get mac salad on the side. And always Portuguese sausages with my order. It just hits the spot. Very homey feel inside. Good consistent eats. They've got a fun and wide range menu for everyone. Stacks is a breakfast winner for me

Yelp
As busy as it gets, I can see why people flock to this place. Every time I'm in this plaza in the morning for brunch or lunch rush, there is almost always a line out the door. Seating is limited inside, but they offer plenty of outdoor tables. This establishment is the type to order first and seat after. They give you a number to deliver your food to table, but it wasn't too long of a wait. We chose to go with the Island Chilaquiles and a Breakfast Egg burrito. Any time I see chilaquiles on a menu, there's always a gravitational pull to getting this. I was, however, debating on another breakfast item, but the cashier helped solidify my choice with their recommendation. Definitely was not disappointed! I've ordered via Postmates a few other items previously, such as the Captain Mac Nut French toast and the Spicy Chicken Bacon Waffle. Both were very tasty, but prefer dining in for optimal flavor without the condensation during transit. If you come through, highly recommend planning ahead by knowing what to order while you wait in line. Waiting will probably be 10-30 minutes depending on when you go. If possible, avoid the rush, but either way, enjoy the meal!

Yelp
Oh em UBE!!!! Their ube pancakes are oh so delightful and packed with flavor! It's a definite must try when coming here. Favorite breakfast dish would have to be the katsu chicken and waffles; but you can never go wrong with their protein breakfast that has 2 eggs and a choice of Portuguese sausage, spam, patty, or hibachi steak. Personally, I'd choose the Portuguese sausage.
