Visited this place recently on an Open Day.. Despite being centuries old, the building is very well maintained. Also, the building has a replica of first microscope by Antoni Van Leewenhoek, a Dutch Microbiologist, known as Father of Microbiology. He used to work there. Church opposite to this is marvelous.

...this city hall (stadhuis) still serves as the center of city government and also hosts important events. This medieval-style building is truly beautiful, with its distinctive ornamentation that captivates all who see it...

Visiting the Stadhuis in Delft was like stepping into a painting from the Dutch Golden Age. Located right on the lively Markt square, this Renaissance-style city hall immediately catches your eye with its ornate façade, rich detailing, and beautiful symmetry. It’s not just a building—it’s a piece of living history. What makes it especially charming is how it stands as a quiet witness to centuries of civic life. The tower, known as Het Steen, dates back to the 13th century and adds even more historical depth. And even if you don’t go inside, just sitting in the square and admiring it with a coffee from a nearby café is a beautiful experience. If you're in Delft, don’t miss this. Whether you’re into history, architecture, or just looking for a picturesque photo spot, Stadhuis Delft will not disappoint.

The Stadhuis (Town Hall) of Delft is a true architectural gem that beautifully anchors the historic Markt square. It’s a peaceful and picturesque spot, ideal for people-watching, taking photos, or simply soaking in the timeless beauty of Delft’s old town. A must-visit for anyone who loves history, architecture, or just a great place to unwind.

The downtown of delft is very picturesque. You will find many stores and cafes there. There are many streets behind the main square that offer even more great coffeeshops and restaurants. Recommend you check them out. We also encountered people selling the goods like a flea market that stretched quite far. It seemed like a popular destination on a sunny weekend day.

Situated at Markt 87, in the heart of Delft, the Stadhuis (Town Hall) is one of the city’s most prominent and historically significant buildings. The City Hall in Delft is a Renaissance style building on the Markt across from the Nieuwe Kerk. Originally designed by the Dutch architect Hendrick de Keyser, it was heavily changed over the centuries and was restored in the 20th century to its Renaissance appearance.
