Delicious traditional pancakes and especially wonderful as catered for gluten and lactose free diets! Outside terrace on the canal in the sunshine is highly recommended. Waitress staff were extremely welcoming! If in Delft you must visit!

Google
I can’t sing enough praise for the food and staff here! We enjoyed a very filling breakfast, and the chefs indulged us with giving us a bowel of Nutella on the side with our breakfast (even if it seemed confusing to them to have it with toast and omelettes).

Google
Food was very good, they use products from a local farm (meat, cheese, eggs, milk, etc) that you can actually visit near Delft which gives the food an extra and special taste you know what you are eating. I had a burguer and my wife a toast with eggs and bacon. And to closd we had a Delft thunder, a chocolate cake made with 3 or 4 types of textures, a must!

Google
Stopped in this little sandwich shop and had a delicious sandwich while sightseeing in Delft. Great place to people watch and have a nice meal.

Google
We tried a Roastbeef sandwich and stroopwafel pancakes, and they were absolutely delightful! It was such a treat to enjoy those flavors. However, I have to admit that the coffee didn't quite meet our expectations. The crew was super friendly as well.

Google
The second time here didn't disappoint. We come here for the pancakes which are outstanding. I had the summer pancake pancake with strawberries and whipped cream. We also had the pancake with bacon cheese and onions which is a good hearty meal. A lovely view if you sit outside along the river.. we tried this a year ago and looked forward to it ever since and we're satisfied when the second experience was just as good as the first

Google
The staff spoke English when I asked them in Dutch. 🥰 Our neighbors at our table were very nice as well. The bathroom was super cute & the food was amazing! There were lots of fun birds in the canals as well.

Google
A must try for visitors! - We spotted this wonderful place and sincerely enjoyed every bite of our burgers. - Despite the fact that countless awards were given to those recipes, as you can tell from the display of trophies all over the place, the menu is sensibly priced! - Highly recommend.

Yelp
This spot was so cute for a quick breakfast. It was the waag pancake with an orange juice for me and the farmer's omelet with a coffee for my husband. Both were delicious and filling. Their menu is available in English so just ask for it if you need it.

Yelp
Followed a writing about a one day itinerary in Delft and she mentioned this resto. It is very romantically located by the canal. Has a large seating area on main floor and top floor. Had to try Dutch pancake on our trip here. Serving is big and filling. Pancake is light and thin. Tried two savoury pancakes - bacon and apple, bacon, onion and cheese and both were good. Staff was nice to translate the menu for us. Very unique way of putting our order in a credit-size card. Then we bring this card to the cashier to pay. She scans the barcode on the card and our order shows up.

Yelp
This restaurant appears to be highly recommended on Yelp. But it's a kind of tourist trap. The food isn't bad, but at best it's mediocre. The burgers buns are dry and crumble, hardly holding the burger together. I am going to assume most people rank this place higher for the ambience and the charm of being able to eat lunch seated next to a canal. But, the food quality leaves much to be desired. Not a great food option, but if you care only about the seating, this might be your cup of tea.

Yelp
As others have noted, your paid admission to the new and old churches come with a small brochure offering a free coffee at one of six places in Delft. I asked the woman we bought our tickets from if she had a favorite, and she quickly recommended Stads-Koffyhuis. What a great recommendation! We headed over immediately after viewing the amazing Oude Kerk, and were seated immediately and presented with a couple full menus in English. The waitstaff were all very kind, and service was quick. We both went with the pancakes - and I devoured my cheese, bacon and onion pancake. Very good, if a bit salty - but that's bacon for you! At the end of the meal, you take a small card on which your food and drink has been electronically tallied - and your free drink coupon, if you have one (by the way, it was good for a cappuccino, too!) and pay at the register up front. The restaurant serves good food, and is full of that Dutch Gezelligheid!

Yelp
Really cute place with a beautiful view of the canal. Limited vegan options but there are some.

Yelp
This is a very popular spot in Delft so I figured I should check it out. I had heard that their savory pancakes are legendary so that's what I got. I got the Dutch pancake with mushrooms, cheese and spinach. The pancake is light and cooked perfectly and it was stuffed with the fillings. The side salad was fresh and had mangos which was a very pleasant and sweet surprise to go with my savory pancake. The coffee I ordered was a bit too sweet for me but it was expertly made. If you enjoy caramel and sweet whipped cream this is definitely the coffee for you. The service was friendly and laid back. The whole cafe had a really relaxed atmosphere. There is free WiFi.

Yelp
(4) ~ very good overall food & service MENU: ** Delft Latte(regular) = (4.25) Very good ** Prinsenhof Pancake = (4.25) Very good, although the spicy sauce is more like a BBQ Sauce, than a Hot Sauce. * Delflandse Pancake = (3.75) Good, but salty... * Earth Water(still) = (3.75) Good ***Gelderse Pancake = Next Time...;)

Yelp
Stads-Koffyhuis has become a must-have stop any time we are in Delft. We come for the pannekoeken and appreciate the kind service and reasonable prices. The scenic dining on the canal is lovely; we have enjoyed eating indoors as well. Always looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This place was great for our family! Right inside the door is a table with children's puzzles and hard cover books that entertained our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter! The table seats around 8. We didn't take the whole table, and another man joined us, but it was no problem. They also offer awesome outdoor seating! The sandwiches were wonderful, and the coffees quite good! It may have been a bit pricey but not overly so! They do accept credit cards!

Yelp
Came here for breakfast in mid April. I actually walked by it at 8 o clock the night before when we were walking to our hotel and thought to myself 'that is where I'm going for breakfast tomorrow'...I'm so glad I did! I sat out on the canal and had a cup of coffee and the apple, bacon, raisin pancake. The pancake itself was quite good. I wish I had had more time in Delft to go back for lunch and to explore other menu items as I think I would have liked them better. The atmosphere of the place was so cheery and the wait staff was so friendly!

Yelp
Me and my husband found this place by accident, walking around. So we tried some sweets for teatime. We ordered apple pie and chocolate cake with some tea and coffee. Both of them were pretty good. But what we didn't know was that they have high tea! If we didn't have lunch, we could have done that!!! But by asking the waiter about all of those trophies above the casher and everywhere in the restaurant, we found out that they are the champions of Holland sandwich contest year after year! I wish I was there for lunch time and tasted their organic award winning sandwiches!!! People, go there for your lunch time and try their sandwiches! (cons: They don't bake their bread there but it's coming from local bakery.) Their stuff members are very friendly and the interior is so cute! Bathroom is one of the cutest I've ever seen. It's covered with broken Delft ceramics! I would totally going back to Stads if I have a chance to go to Delft someday again.

Yelp
Oude Delft. Kind cute. Brick streets. Tiny canals. Leaning churches. And Stads Koffy Huis. It's actual coffee, not "coffee wink wink nudge nudge we mean weed". And you come here for the pancakes. There's a handful of options. I got the beef stew pancake. My dutch friend looked on with disapproval as he had a cinnamon raisin one. The beef stew pancake was pretty darn tasty. It's the perfect pancake with some mushroom and beef stew (not the watery part, just the meaty part) put inside and folded over like a calzone. Absolutely delicious. Each pancake comes with a little piece of paper of the order number. If that number is a factor of 100 your pancake is free. Good food, cute place, a touch of gambling...what's not to love?

Yelp
Arrived in Delft last Saturday and Stads-Koffyhuis was very busy, but we got a table and had their delicious pancakes. Tasty and generous portions. Staff were very friendly and accommodating in spite of being very busy. We liked it so well we returned for dinner on Monday evening and I had an excellent burger!

Yelp
We'r had a fantastic breakfast here. I had a fish salad with three different types of fish. My daughter had a huge strawberry pancake and my wife had a savory pancake with mushrooms, sausage and some spicy sauce. We sat outside on the floating patio.

Yelp
Stads-Koffyhuis was recommended by our hotel, but we didn't get there until later in the week of our visit. The first time was for dinner with a group of five. We were promptly seated and given English menus. The menu has a good variety, but is more of a casual style for dinner. My wife and I had the Farmer's Burger, which was made with organically-raised beef and came on a tasty roll with lettuce, tomato, long thin pickles, bacon and a sort of Russian Dressing. It was accompanied by spicy potato wedges. Other than the beef being salted, which seems to be common, it was delicious. Others at our table had the Oude Delft burger, with a fried egg, a chicken sandwich, and a seafood salad. Everyone liked what they got. My wife and I also had the Delft VOC Stout, a excellent dark beer. For dessert, all of us had the warm apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and we all loved it. My wife and I returned for lunch the next day and had sandwiches. I had the "Alex's Choice", thin, rare and tender roast beef with cheese and tangerines (!) on a cornmeal roll. My wife had a vegetarian sandwich with lettuce, cheese, spicy mustard and an apple syrup. It too was very good, and we both had another VOC Stout beer. For dessert we chose the "seasonal pastrie" which was a strawberry pie, with a strawberry cream filling in a small pie crust with fresh strawberries on top. It was very good, but I liked the apple pie better. They also had a wide variety of "pancakes" on the menu, with choices of sweet or savory toppings. Four things of note - your server will leave a card on the table that has a barcode. This serves as your bill - take it to the front register when you want to pay. Secondly, while credit cards are accepted, only the European style with "chip and PIN" can be used. I found this to be the case at almost every restaurant in Delft. Third, while their web site has a menu online, I found some of the items there unavailable and others were more expensive than the online menu lists. Last, there is a tourist booklet you can get at hotels or at the tourist info center that has a coupon for a free coffee at Stads-Koffyhuis.

Yelp
Situated on the Oude Delft in the shadow of the Oude Jan, this coffeehouse is among the most popular of Delft. I've been here several times in different seasons and the quality and service is consistent. In the warmer months you can sit outside on the terrace boat and enjoy a view of the Oude Jan and gracht. When it gets colder there is ample room inside to enjoy something to eat or drink. Although somewhat limited in choice compared to other coffee places, I like their coffee and coffee specials and would recommend to anyone visiting Delft.

Yelp
I decided to book a 10hr flight to Amsterdam and take an hour train ride all for the Yelp review of this gem. I owed it to my 18 followers. We sat at the big common table because it was crowded. I had a local brew that was made from a medieval cauldron. OH DAMN it was good. I also had the Macho Burger which was out of this world! Overall the meal was very reasonable in price and excellent in quality. Though the $1000+ to get there seems a little much for a meal. Ah well. I'll probably write it off as a tax deduction! Owwwwwww!

Yelp
I've been to Stads three times, so I think I've given it a fair chance. I do not think the food here is anything special - the place is just popular because there is nothing else like it in Delft. I've ordered the pancakes here a few times and although they tasted fine, one of the times I received a packaged butter plopped in the middle of my pancake and I could tell it had previously been on another plate because it had old peppers stuck to it (yuck). The service here is also really lacking; on one of our visits we had to wait to place an order for over 45 minutes, so we got the attention of our waitress - she gruffly said that she would come take our order when SHE was ready. All in all, not very good but pretty popular, so do not expect to be in and out of here quickly.

Yelp
Wow. Really good reviews here for a reason! Was planning on coming here anyway, but the free coffee from my museum ticket was an added touch. I got the Adam's sandwich, if I remember correctly and it was filling and tasty. I thought it was a small place until I went to the restroom. This place just kept opening up into more rooms! I have a feeling this would be my regular haunt if I lived in the area.

Yelp
Love the winter coffee. Fresh squeezed juice. And wonderful service. Def a nice stop on our first morning in delft.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant on recommendation of our Rick Steves guide and a friend's suggestion. It was a great coffee shop and we enjoyed the Delft decor. We shared a slice of apple pie because it looked amazing but we thought it was just so so as it was not served warm so the crust was very hard. I enjoyed my savory pancake with onions and chicken. My mom thought her ham and cheese pancake was just ok. The portions were very generous and prices were reasonable.

Yelp
Ducked in here to avoid the rain after walking through the old church. Great vibe.i imagine on a warmer summer day a table on the boat out front would be great. There is a large variety of seating and the place is huge.

Brad M.

Yelp
A really lovely place to visit if you're spending some time in Delft. After a visit to William of Orange's old residence, our tickets gave us a free coffee at this little place just down the street. It has a nice barge patio to enjoy in nice weather and serves up some traditional Dutch fare, namely, apple cake. Delicious!

Yelp
My friends and I came here for lunch on vacation and we absolutely loved it. Great sandwiches and drinks in a beautiful setting.

Arnica B.

Yelp
Seriously one of the best sandwiches I've had in my LIFE. If I'm ever in Delft again, I will make sure to visit Stads-Koffyhuis again - more than once.
