Stadthotel Pfeffermühle

Great hotel, the staff are so amazing, it is 2 min walk from the old town that is so charming, breakfast was amazing! We will go back for sure!

It is autumn and my husband and I are still traveling around Europe visiting places, booking hotels, and restaurants. However during these travels it comes to our minds the delightful experience last June during our stay at the Stadthotel Pfeffermühle. Neat, clean, friendly customer service. The buffet was well-stocked, creating a welcoming atmosphere. There was a small disposal container on the table, which served for multiple purposes related to waste management. Love it! The parking inside the hotel was a challenge, but there practical options nearby the historic center.||Its surroundings are beautiful with half-timbered houses as far as the eye can see, towers, gates, corners and alleys in harmonious coexistence. |Well, for some visitors the appearance of the building might not look charming but one cannot judge a book for its cover ;-) . We loved the hotel and Gegenbach town, of course, we will be happy to come back!

The Stadthotel in Gengenbach is a must stay at! Reasonable cost, attentive, friendly and very helpful staff. Room is very comfortable, near the rail station, centrally located in the Black Forest, calm and peaceful. Highly recommend. Gengenbach is a lovely and friendly town!

The exterior of the hotel is nothing special and lacks charm. The interior looks a little more charming, but not by much. There was ample parking. Check in was easy. The room was large and perfectly adequate for a short visit. The room had a safe, but it wasn’t physically attached to anything so a thief could walk off with the entire safe. The room also had a mini bar. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the other side of the hotel that had a table and chairs. Breakfast was good. It had a nice variety of fruit and lunch meats, some cheese, yogurt, cereals, and a couple choices for eggs.

The Hotel is excellent, very clean and the personal service is very kind. We had the pleasure to meet the owners of the hotel, they are very kind and attentive to the customers so that they are well! . The rooms are very spacious, clean and warm. The beds are excellent,fluffy and very clean,we rested very well. If you are in the area,choose with confidence this very good hotel!!!!! 🫶 Congratulations to the owners!! 👏👏👏👏👏

Wonderful hotel with a lot of history. My room is super comfortable, very reasonably priced and large for a single. And the breakfast is great. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and it’s in a great location. A very short walk to everything in the charming town and yet very quiet in the evening. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel with street parking. Rooms are big and modern and only a 5 minutes walk from old town. Breakfast is plentifull with fresh eggs cooked as you sit down.
