"Right next to the InterContinental Wien, the massive Stadtpark is a relaxing green space I recommend for lounging and enjoying the outdoors when the sun is out." - Matthew Kepnes

A charming and peaceful oasis in the heart of Vienna. The park is beautifully landscaped with walking paths, lush greenery, and colorful flower beds. It’s perfect for a relaxing stroll or enjoying some quiet time away from the city’s hustle. I especially loved the famous Johann Strauss monument and the small ponds with ducks. There are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the surroundings, making it ideal for families, couples, or solo visitors. A must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates nature and the beauty of Vienna.

We were walking and enjoying seeing the geese and ducks flying around on the lake, very peaceful. We also stumbled upon a musician (named Hanna from the band VYSHNEVSKI) busking and her opera-quality angelic voice echo throughout the park. We ditched our travel itinerary and just sit on the bench and indulge ourselves in this beautiful and emotional moment.

Lovely park full of life and love. A lot of people come and just tan, many play games, some have picnics or play with their kids, or read. The park is really being looked after, with care and love. It’s just so nice to sit between the trees, being sun kissed, watch life happening around in this wonderful settings and architecture around. Also there is a gorgeous flower kiosk with colorful flowers of many types attached to the park. I also came for a picnic win myself and one of the most yummiest pastries from Offrl bakery 😋

My morning workout has never been surrounded with so much beauty, history and cute design. The park is the best place to kick off an intensive day.

Beautiful and calm place. I was fortunate to visit at the end of autumn, it was my first time seeing the lush yellow carpet of leaves.

I visited Stadtpark right after attending Friday prayers at the nearby Turkish mosque, and the experience was truly peaceful. Despite its central location, the park was remarkably quiet, offering a welcome sense of calm and solitude. It’s a beautiful green space—perfect for unwinding and reflection after a busy week. If you're looking for a tranquil spot in the city center, Stadtpark provides a lovely, serene escape.

A cozy park in the heart of the city. Lots of benches, a pond with ducks (we even saw a heron). A great place to take a break and connect with nature.

This park is truly peaceful and calm. The ambiance is wonderful. There are amazing bird sounds. Peaceful and pleasant people are sitting on benches and on the grass, enjoying life. It’s a place where you can easily spend hours.

Yelp
Across the street from my hotel in Vienna, it's a lovely park in the heart of Vienna. Beautifully landscaped with walking paths. I bet it's gorgeous in the summer with all the greenery, and colorful flower beds. It's perfect for a nice stroll or enjoying some quiet time away from the city's hustle. Loved the famous Johann Strauss monument and the small ponds with ducks. There are plenty of benches to sit and a nice playground if you have children.

Yelp
The city park is a huge and beautiful park, right in the heart of Vienna. With so much open space, it's no wonder it's a favorite of so many people! There are pathways everywhere that lead you to monuments, a cafe, or just simply through the park but away from the busy hustle and bustle of the Viennese sidewalks which surround it. It rained a bit on the day we visited, so there weren't many families about, but the park still had a good number of people in it, even for a weekday, showing that this truly is a beloved space in the city. 47/2025

Yelp
Fantastic experience when you are in this busy and beautiful city and you need an hour or two of serenity. Gorgeous foliage of the Gingko trees glow even in the overcast weather and were a perfect autumn show stopper. Strolling through this lovely park takes you back to simpler times when you actually see an occasional jogger and couples holding hands as they stoll amongst the trees and glorious sculptures. It is fun to stand on the bridge above the train rail way and watch the train come in and stop of the station. This park is huge and you could probably spend all day here.

Yelp
A beautiful inner city green space located near our hotel. You'll stroll past statues, beautifully landscaped plants, a man made pond, plenty of benches for relaxing and people watching, and large grass areas for picnicking, sunbathing, sports. We sat for quite some time relaxing and talking, before a smoker sat next to a bench near us....

Yelp
Stadtpark is quite a pretty and relaxing park to hang out in. The layout is very nice, with curved paths & different places to sit. Even though the park is quite popular, the many trees and foliage makes it feel a bit more intimate. There's a big pond in one part of the park, and different sculptures scattered around. It's a good place to eat lunch, read, have a picnic, walk around, just hang out...

Yelp
Peaceful and clean park at the center of Vienna. I walked around here after dinner and it was a nice place to stroll. Many people had their blanket and relaxing still sunny evening. They have several walkway with different statues including the famous Johann Strauss. I felt safe here walking alone and if I had a free afternoon, I would hangout here with my books.

Yelp
Beautiful park with lots of seating. A great place to go any day, but an especially nice place on a warm summer day. Pack a picnic, bring the kids, and enjoy some rest and relaxation. The little pond is a nice touch and you will enjoy the statues in the park as well. All Wien parks seem to have great statuary.

Yelp
A bit east of central Vienna, you'll find Stadtpark. You'll find this beautiful park that has lots of places to picnic, ride your skateboard, or let your kids play on the grounds there. Plenty of trees for shade if you wish to bring a blanket and just relax on the grass. There's also a canal that runs through the park, however it was very dried up when I visited. As you cross the bridge heading north you'll find another area that's filled with statues and monuments of famous Austrian composers and musicians, great place for pictures. Overall it's a nice quiet park, a bit of graffiti and just okay as far as cleanliness goes. Just an alright park, not must see place or anything.

Yelp
A nice neighborhood park, to lay down on a blanket and have a picnic. Park was relatively crowded on a Saturday. Nice landscaping, lush grass, and the occasional statue to take a picture of. There was a mobile espresso truck selling their wares. Would get a five star if the graffiti were cleaned up on the waterway, and in other spots.

Yelp
As I stayed in the Radisson, in front of the park, I went every day for a stroll or to start or end my journey of sightseeing Vienna as there is a metro line U 4 Stadtpark. I like this park with little lakes, ducks and many benches... and many more. The "golden" statue of Johann Strauss stands in the park and many tourists are taking a picture... me too. I have a good reason, as child I was member of a choir. To celebrate our 10th anniversary we have during many months "An der schönen blauen Donau" rehearsed before we were able to give a performance. I love this park and it is very close to the center !

Yelp
Nice place to rest and relax. Nice open areas and plenty of shade when you want it. As a photographer there are some great places all over the park to shot.

Yelp
Great place to walk through when it is nice outside. They have benches, bikes, ponds, ducks and all that. The only thing I do not like about the place is the amount of spray paint on some of the walls. It is kind of sad really.

Yelp
City Park is pleasant enough, even on a cold winter day. Find it along the eastern edge of the Ring. The entrance to the U-bahn is in the Jugendstil style and nice enough. I was happy to find the famous golden figure of Strauss with his violin, although the golden statue of mediocre compared to the figures carved into the faux-marble background. There is a pleasant lake with swans and ducks. On a snowy December morning, this was a sight to see. The Kursalon is here, also.

Yelp
what a PERFECT place to be on a nice day! plenty of sun and shade, and also benches and a pond. good that the park is not huge so you can decide where you want to post up. i went to read my book but ended up just sprawling out on the grass and smiling uncontrollably :) they have mozart concerts in the hall here too, these are a touristy show, but i hear they are fun. buy cheaper tickets from the guys dressed up around the city center as leopold, theyre always around.

Yelp
Nice little park in the centre of Vienna with absolutely loads of ducks in it. Not sure if you are allowed to ride bikes in here as everyone looked at us really disapprovingly!

Yelp
very nice park, its full of history and beautiful architecture, I am in love with the little bridge crossing the canal thingy ;) and i adore the huge turquoise vases that are on the path in the doggie zone, and so on and so on. also lots of play areas for kids, a basketball court etc, so it has everything you want PLUS its right in the center of Vienna, what more can you ask for? :)
