Built in the 1450s, this former watchtower once housed city guards who kept watch over Innsbruck. Today, it serves as a panoramic viewpoint. The tower rises to about 51 meters, and visitors climb around 133 spiral steps to reach the viewing platform. From the top, there are sweeping views of the Old Town and the Nordkette mountain range.

Got the Innsbruck Card, which made going to all the attractions easy. The staircase is a double helix, pretty cool. Easy to get to the top to enjoy the panorama view of the city.

A great spot to get a view over the old town of Innsbruck! The ticket shop is on the 2nd floor, then there is a spiral staircase that takes you up to the 360 degree balcony viewing deck. We used our Innsbruck card to get in, and spent about 15 minutes admiring the view. There’s area around the entrance is currently under construction but there are signs making it clear where to enter.

The ticket shop is located on the 2nd floor. Family ticket is available too. We climbed the steel spiral stairway to the top, while resting in-between. The view of innsbruck is fabulous and you can view Golden Roof building from here. There is also pay to use binoculars. The outdoor viewing platform's space is tight, so it is tricky if there are more people. You can use the same entrance ticket to enter the toilet located at ground level.

The view is definitely amazing for the entrance fee, which was 10 euro as compared to any other adventure cost in the city. However, I caution you, one has to climb almost 10 floors of spiraling staircase with dim lights which can be scary for many and exhausting. I wasn't aware of this and it was a bit scary for me especially returning back. No lifts or shortcuts here which is scary if you get hurt or in case of emergency.

We were walking around Innsbruck and saw the fire tower and decided to walk up the 51 meters to get a view of the city. Walked up and you have to pay 4:50 for a ticket then walk up a flight of stairs and then insert your ticket into the turnstile. You then climb around 160 stairs to the top. The view is pretty go and it gives you a good Birds Eye view of the city 360 degrees. It was ok I’d do it again.

The view from Stadtturm in Innsbruck is absolutely incredible — you can see the whole city and the beautiful surrounding mountains. The climb to the top requires some effort, as there are many stairs to climb, but it’s definitely worth it. Also, the ticket price is cheaper for students, which makes the visit even better. If you enjoy panoramic views and don’t mind a bit of a workout, Stadtturm is a must-see!

Perfect views of The Golden Roof and the city. Well worth the effort to charge up the winding staircase.

Yelp
It is worth the small fee to view the city from the top of the Stadtturm. The mountains, colorful flats along the river and copper patina church domes are charming.

Yelp
The Stadtturm is a quick and easy attraction, worth doing when in Innsbruck if only to orient yourselves and to take a very good pictures of Innsbruck and the surrounding area. Be warned, there are quite a number of stairs to climb and no elevator, but it is not too onerous, and if you have a Fitbit, it will help your stair count considerably! My wife, two daughters (8 and 10), handled the stairs without a problem. When we arrived at the top, we found very nice views of the city and met a number of nice people willing to take pictures of us. It is a bit cramped up at the top, so people need to be friendly and patient with one another. The entire visit does not take very long, so it is a nice thing to do just to get one's bearing on the town and its surroundings. Definitely worth doing.

Yelp
Fabulous views of the city and (more importantly) the mountains surrounding the city. The steps aren't bad compared to many of the tower climbing options on a typical Europe trip - way easier than the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. The admission price is reasonable, a couple Euros per person, and the views and photo opportunities make it more than worth it.
