We went mid-week and it was the best decision ever. My friend and I decided to do a catch up and meet at a cafe/bar. Unfortunately by the time we got there they weren’t doing Iced Coffee (which was what my friend wanted), but we each got a glass of wine. Their selection is all Greek wines, very earthy, but delicious! Definitely check them out. The food was delicious! Definitely try the hummus and the bruschetta, the cherry glaze was insanely good 😊 Great place to talk, chill and enjoy a beautiful afternoon/sunset.

This wine bar is my favorite go-to in the summer and fall months. They offer a genuine selection of Greek wines and some finger food to go with them. But what I come here for most is the atmosphere. Cozy and quaint vibes you can get lost in for a while and forget you’re in one of the busiest cities on Earth. Go relax, bring with you a friend. Or a good book.

The outdoor seating is very nice, considering we had a cold winter. I went with my son on 4/15 around 5 pm. He ordered a cook tail. I don’t drink alcohol. So we ordered an appetizer. The waitress seems not happy. She said that there is a minimum order rule. She kept looking at us and looks like that she wanted us to leave the restaurant. I am very big on service. I have not met this situation lately.

I love Stafili! Every time I come here, the experience is amazing. I’m a huge cheese girl, so I always get a cheese board and love to see what they have for me to try each time. This past visit, they had a variety of sheep’s milk cheeses that were all AMAZING. I had to fight myself not to finish the whole thing while my friend spilled the tea on her dating life haha!

Very cute and quiet lunch spot. The food was fresh and the wine was delicious. Ethan the bartender was very friendly.

Chris (The Owner) is an awesome and knowledge wine expert. Offers great advice for a nice bottle. Great service, vibe and tunes, friendly and very knowledgeable staff, a true neighborhood gem. Don't forget to try the amazing coffee !!!!! 10 Stars!!!!

For context my friends and I, had just wrapped up dinner at Rosemary’s West Village and wanted to end our evening with some wine. My friends mentioned they wanted to try this Greek wine spot so we made our way here. On arrival, we noticed it was quite busy and the host advised that it would be 1.5hrs wait. This was fine because the area was cute to explore, so we added our name to the waitlist. I then thought it was a good idea to use the bathroom prior to strolling for an hour, so I asked the host if they had a bathroom, to which she delayed (looked at her colleague) then responded that it’s only for seated guests and further advised that there was a waitlist for the bathroom. This was quite strange and distasteful for what should be a modern wine bar. Hopefully their facilities and service can be improved in the future. Thankfully NYC has numerous wine bars to experience so I will likely not return to this location.

Google
Very cozy, welcoming ambience, a few blocks from the Whitney and 14th Street /Mest Packing district. Excellent finger food with decent portions, and very good prices. The spicy feta cheese spread is not be missed, and the charcuterie boards are all you need to have a fabulous time. Excellent wine selection - be mindful that they're mostly from Greece, but be adventurous! There's something for everyone.

Yelp
I stumbled on this gem while waiting for a friend. Ambience is very charming and they have $12 happy hour (3pm-7pm) Drink: French 75, heavy on the champagne *cheers to that I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
i went here a few months ago and there was a literal pube in my olives. it was horrible i do not recommend this establishment for its service and evident sanitary failures

Yelp
A charming, cozy but modern wine bar with a great selection of wines! They also have small bites (cheese / charcuterie board), and wine flights - really would like to try one of the flights next time I come. They have happy hour from 3-6pm I believe!

Yelp
The place is always busy, make sure you made reservation. Even with reservation you cannot hang out/stay as long as you want, there is a limit how long you can stay. We found out when we were handed out the bill while we still want to eat/drink. It was five of us and were given one small table, with the amount of food that we ordered/ wanted to order, the table was too small, making us so uncomfortable while trying to enjoy the food.

Yelp
I was obsessed with this place! We decided to go to Stafili on a whim because we had just been traveling and needed something before we actually went to dinner. So I looked up happy hour and this place popped up! I don't think there is any happy hour, but they have a very long selection of wines and a smaller list of appetizers which was enough for me! My mom loved orange wine so of course we had to try the orange wine tasting. It was amazing! Absolutely loved the wines. The meet and cheese plate was also fantastic. Sometimes you get one or two bad tasting cheeses or the meat is just fine, but genuinely, it was all amazing. 10/10! The service was super quick and our waitress answered all our questions about the wine. Which was super helpful considering we wanted to learn a little bit about what we were tasting! As for the vibes--inside is super cute and very quaint. We sat outside though because the weather wasn't bad! They have little tables sectioned around the whole exterior and they look out into the street (very French style if you know what I mean). We had little candles. It was definitely really nice!

Yelp
We recently got into wine and this was our first time visiting a wine bar and had a blast! We had an early evening weekend reservation and were seated right away on arrival. Service was great - the lady who was helping us was very informative and quick. Everything we had was quite good too. We enjoyed a wine flight and a charcuterie board. All of which were really great. The best part above all was the atmosphere. Super cute and cozy place with an all around good energy. From the other reviews it looks like it can get busier but the day we went, it was more on the quieter side. Great time and definitely recommended!

Yelp
Hole in the wall Greek wine bar that looked better than it tasted. Charcuterie board had barely anything on it - extremely cheap portion size considering it was 25$ but tasted fine. Literally only put 2 baby pickles and 1 walnut! Like wtf... Atmosphere was fine but the waiter was very cold and didn't have the patience to answer questions. Wouldn't go back unless to try exquisite Greek wine.

Yelp
Obsessed with this wine bar! Cutest vibe and roomier than most wine bars in the WV area. Staff is super kind and easy going. Great selection of Mediterranean wines, introduced me to wine types that I have never tried before. Grab yourself a seat by the windows while the weather is still nice out and have a great time. I'll keep coming here!

Yelp
I really like coming to Stafili. I usually have really good service. This last time, they seated me before happy hour ended, I asked if they can send a server over. 15 minutes later, someone comes by and I can't order a HH drink anymore. I didn't feel like fighting it, but it's very evident there's a bottleneck between seating someone and a server coming over because this isn't the first time it happened. Albeit lateness, I did get recommended a good red wine and I ordered charcuterie and cheese board. It's a nice place with a romantic ambiance if you get there before the house is packed.

Yelp
Gets quite loud sometimes but romantic / dim lit ambiance with friendly service. The food options are limited but good - cheese and meat options are good and taste complementary to wine. It's a great neighborhood wine bar with good, mainly Mediterranean wine options. Nice for a date or friendly catch up.

Yelp
Fabulous wine list. I don't live in the city and appreciate the intense Greek wine list. You can't get it anywhere else! Phenomenal food. 10/10

Yelp
Glad I stumbled on this place. It is a small spot so sometimes not the easiest to get in. The seats against the window are tight but enjoyed our time. The greek wines were lovely and they even had one from cyprus. I also enjoyed the aestethic with corks lined on the ceiling. They also have small bites which I will try next time.

Yelp
Adorable cozy spot ! Stopped in by chance and had a great time! Our server was so knowledgeable about all the Greek wines, also the food was amazing! We got a Greek salad with prosciutto and a tzatziki and a wine flight ! We will make this a regular spot

Yelp
Really nice wine bar in west village, with a focus on Greek wines in particular. For me, the draw was the space itself. I'm not a discerning wine drinker, but I really liked the charming cafe feel, and the more laid back vibe overall. Service was very prompt, though some were a bit snooty if I'm being honest. Still, I could certainly see myself coming back here for a low key small gathering over drinks.

Yelp
A very cute Greek wine bar in the West Village. I tried the orange wine, which was OK. I wish I went with the Syrah Merlot Bland. Next time. It was full body and very good. The olives were excellent as was the hummus with the bread which was warm. Very enjoyable place to stop in for a drink.

Rose C.

Yelp
Stafili Wine Cafe in the West Village is an absolute gem with an amazing Greek wine selection. Our waiter brought out several tastes of wine to pair with our delicious Wild boar prosciutto crepe which resulted in the perfect match. We were lucky to get one of the outside tables where we enjoyed our time without being rushed. All in all a wonderful experience and I'll definitely will be back very soon.

Yelp
Awwww. If you can't make it to actual Greece, this cozy little nook of a Greek wine bar will give you some of the same warm, fuzzy vibe (esp. since at least one of the servers is Greek). They sadly do not have retsina anymore, but the aged orange wine is almost as unique. Super friendly service too. Will be back for more.

Yelp
Stafili is a super cute and casual spot! Came for a drink after a dinner and it was pretty good! Honestly not the most memorable, but the service was nice and they have a good selection. The interior was nice and felt cozy. Our group did feel a little rushed- not rlly sure why since it wasn't near closing, but they might've wrapped up early that night. They also have a minimum for the group to sit down, so that's something to keep in mind if someone is the group didn't want to order. I've heard their happy hour prices are really good, so might need to go back to try that.

Yelp
The cutest spot nestled in WV for date night! The wine selection is extensive, and the waiter was very attentive and friendly. Great service! For food, my boyfriend and I got the charcuterie board (*recommend!*) but I don't recommend the panini unfortunately (very dry, 80% bread and not a lot of items/toppings inside). However, I said it was my boyfriend's birthday at midnight, and they gave us a crepe on the house! It was unexpected and very kind. I'd definitely want to come back here and I will be recommending others to check out this wine cafe, too! Thanks!

Peter B.

Yelp
Love this place! The Greek influences shine thru. Fantastic wines and one of the best charcuterie boards around, the Greek cheeses were outstanding. Hit their happy hour too.

Yelp
This place was just ok. The inside feels cramped when it gets busy. We came here for a little celebration on a week night and ordered a bottle of champagne, the Greek panini and the arugula salad. Not my favorite wine bar but the staff are very nice and the place seems pretty popular.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place! It's cute and cozy and the servers are very nice. Met a friend here and we had a couple glasses of wine and the stafili charcuteries and cheese plate. The wines are really interesting and our server gave good recommendations. The platter was also good - nice selection of cheeses and great bread that came with it. Would recommend!

Matt M.

Yelp
The place was fine. Nice little spot. Food was decent and the happy hour wine was pretty good and at a great price. Servers were nice. Just had an energy that was distant, not super inviting. Didn't feel unwelcoming, just didn't feel like you could hang there for a while and work your way through the bottles with friends.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, perfect date spot. Helpful service, best wine in the village. always have a good time here.

Julia S.

Yelp
such a charming, classic tribecca atmosphere! I went for the jazz night w a group of girlfriends and it was the perfect place to begin the evening. we really enjoyed the feta dip and charcuterie tray + a fabulous wine selection!

Emily P.

Yelp
We love Stafili! First time coming here and the terrace was a vibe. Our waitress Ariana was super knowledgeable when we asked about any wines and recommended us the Vidiano Grifos Silva Daskalaki 2022, a nice dry orange wine. It was such a good time we ordered another glass & it paired perfectly with the Stafili charcuterie board. 100% recommend if you're in the Tribeca or WV area

Yelp
I wanted so much to love it here as I've had it bookmarked since I moved to NYC. I walked out there from Chelsea in 90 degree temperatures and was met with the unpleasant surprise that there was no A/C. Although, I will say that it was fitting given the indoor/outdoor European vibe of the place. It is cozy and cute and has a great vibe here. It's not very large but there was a mix of people - young couples, old couples, large groups of girls, etc. I had the turkey crepe and a glass of the mavro\maratheftiko and have to say both were just okay. Maybe it was just poor ordering on my part. I would definitely come back again because the vibe is great, I would just order something else and not come when it's super hot out.

Yelp
Met a friend for coffee and walked together to Stafili so she could have a glass of wine while I had to run to take a call. Stafili was nearly empty so she had her pick of tables. As I said goodbye, I asked to use the restroom and was quickly denied access because I wasn't "a seated customer". I was literally with a customer who was actively being seated. Heaven forbid Stafili treat others with respect and offer true service. Funny enough, I was actually thinking about staying or even coming back after my call. Not this time, and frankly not in the future either.

Yelp
I was recommended to stop into Stafili from a coworker and really loved this spot. Coming from someone who grew up on a vineyard and is in the business, this place is a great change of pace for your typical wine bar. I love that they are not pressured into taking on big name labels and stay true to greek wines. While these greek styles may not be for everyone, it is always good to go out and try new things. The wait staff knew exactly what I wanted after describing a few tasting notes and cheeses were great as well. Wine is a bit pricey ($18) for people not from the area but that is pretty standard for West Village/ NYC. Staff was very welcoming and great place to get warm from the negative degree weather.

John E.

Yelp
Cozy wine bar offers a fantastic selection of Greek wines, from crisp whites to bold reds, with friendly and knowledgeable staff to guide you. An intimate atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for a date. Highly suggest making reservations because it's a popular spot for a night and fills up fast.

Spencer V.

Yelp
Beware, their happy hour is false advertising and a scam. $7 spritz does not include the only popular spritz, aperol. And they will not correct you or clarify that it's not included as part of the happy hour. They even encouraged additional purchase before happy hour concluded just to charge the full $15 amount per drink. Who even orders a vermouth spritz. Truly disappointed.

Vasili P.

Yelp
Never disappoints!!! The wine, the hospitality are incredible. A must go for anyone visiting or in the area. The entire staff at Stafili make you feel extremely welcomed and wanted. The ambience is warm and inviting- super cute!! Hospitality above all you must check them out... they also have opened a second location in Tribecca. I can not wait to frequent both locations.

Yelp
An old friend and I stopped in Stafili's to grab some wine and a snack and we were over the moon! We had the Assyrtiko from Santorini and the Stafili plate to munch on as we sat in the window seats and caught up on life. The staff there are awesome...helpful and warm. The place a definitely a gem of the neighborhood, you should check them out...especially now if you are evading the cold!

Yelp
My friends and I were just walking down the street on a weekend afternoon when we saw the happy hour sign here and had to check it out! We were seated inside promptly and the staff was super welcoming! Their interior is full of wine bottles and an open kitchen counter where you can see your appetizers being made. My friends both got an aperol spritz while I decided to go for a rose- both options were great! The aperol spritzs were super refreshing so I'd recommend that on a warm day. We also got a charcuterie board and the cheese selection was great! Personally I'm a big fan of hard cheeses and the two options they provided were both really savory and smooth. They also refilled our bread for free! Overall: lowkey and unassuming corner spot but a great pick me up and happy hour deal! Would come again!
google avatar

Yelp
Had an awesome experience at Stafili Wine Cafe. Enjoyed a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board. Also got a panini which wasn't my favorite. It was my birthday and they gave us free crepes which was a nice touch. Will definitely be back and will encourage others to go, too!

Yelp
I love this place. The ceiling is made out of wine corks and The flight of Greek wines was delicious. I ordered the bruschetta with feta cheese and then I determined that that was not enough feta for me so I also ordered feta cheese on a plate, and olives. The olives had pits and were delicious and Briny. I really loved how creamy and fresh the feta tasted, and I liked the olive oil with oregano drizzled on top. I usually hate dessert wines but the one that they had in the flight was really good. It tasted like all the best flavors of a raisin. I can't believe I actually had a dessert wine that I really truly enjoyed.

Seda E.

Yelp
The place is nice and service was excellent but that cheese plate is 25 $ my review is just that lol

Yelp
Stafili is simply wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed and charming, making you want to stay for hours. The staff here are gracious, kind, and add to the charm of this neighborhood spot. Their happy hour from 3-7 is hard to beat in nyc and keeps me coming back frequently. If this spot couldn't get any better, their food is also top quality. Their tzatziki is incredible, along with every panini and other dish I have tried. Do yourself a favor and drop in to Stafili!

Yelp
A rare find! After returning from a trip to Greece, I sought out a Greek wine bar in the city, and Stafili did not disappoint. The location and space are excellent for dates, groups, or solo. Even better, the wine list had plenty of the wines I had just been sipping while in Greece. It's a great casual spot to check out.
google avatar

Yelp
Great wine, amazing ambiance, and open late (till midnight as of May 3rd). Stafili is the perfect place to take a first (or fourth) date out to, to sit and get some work done, or to bring friends and enjoy many glasses of wine & cheese/crepes/paninis with friends. Lots of bar seating along the windows which is perfect for people watching on the weekends and great, great music. As I'm writing this -- Sidney Bechet is playing in the background. Just perfect! Like another reviewer said, it feels very special, *very* charming, and Chris is so welcoming and helpful. My partner has been here three times this week alone, and I definitely plan on returning whenever I'm in the city.

Sophia M.

Yelp
My daughter and I came upon this gem of a place several months ago when I was in town visiting. We stopped in for a drink and realized it was a Greek wine bar. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the staff and shown to a table. Our waiter, we found out, is from the same island my mother is from, Chios! He made some great recommendations which we really enjoyed. Stafili has now become our go to place, not just for the wine , but for the atmosphere and the amazing friendly staff who is always ready to greet you with a smile. Just like being back in Greece...

Yelp
A couple friends and I were just walking around West Village and saw the happy hour sign so decided to check it out. The inside was decorated in a cool, oldie style way - there are a lot of random antiques and the ceiling is covered in wine corks! It was very hot outside, so the happy hour beer I had was nice and refreshing with a bit of a floral taste. Cute place to stop by if you are in the area.
google avatar

Ksenia K.

Yelp
Very nice wine bar, our waiter was very welcoming, food was pretty good. The atmosphere was pleasant with a nice decor and lovely music. Perfect for a date or meeting a friend. I think they should have more affordable wine options for bottles starting from $40 and up, rather than $60+.
google avatar

Sarah E.

Yelp
Although the aesthetic is pretty the staff is very rude. They will not go out of their way to help you or make you feel comfortable. We walked in with 5 open tables outside and was told they were all taken. During the time we were inside non of the tables were sat. We got up and left. Leave and go to Malaparte around the corner. Much more authentic, kind and welcoming!
google avatar

May E.

Yelp
My friend recently introduced me to Stafili and it is the definition of a neighborhood gem! Unlike other places in the area, the staff and overall feel at Stafili is incredibly warm and welcoming. The wines are solid and the spritz transports me to a European vacation. But in my opinion, the show stopper here is the burrata with prosciutto. I've had a lot of burrata but for some reason this little bundle of mozzarella is something special. You can tell the management and staff genuinely cares about providing good hospitality which is honestly rare these days, especially in NYC.
google avatar

Tory C.

Yelp
Absolutely love this wine bar. It's the perfect place for a drink with a friend or a first date or even a casual bite to eat. The staff is so nice in the space itself is really charming. One thing that I liked is it doesn't get too loud in there so you can actually hear the conversations that you're having. I 100% recommend

Brad N.

Yelp
Great little spot w/ some awesome Greek vintages. Ryan served up an amazing afternoon. Super knowledgeable and elite level service. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Panos the server is a total pro. We love him. Orange wine, greek honeycomb, cheese, wild boar prosciutto... such good food, wine, & atmosphere. all they need is a winter pear salad with walnuts/gorgonzola, and some more bread-free low carb options, and this place gets 6 stars!

Yelp
I used to live in NYC for 16 years and came to visit because I was missing the energy of the city. Stopped into Stafili Wine Cafe on one of my many walks and instantly felt at home. I have never been greeted so warmly. I planned on having a quick glass of wine and ended up staying for a bottle. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff is fantastic and the vibe is exactly what I was looking forward to experiencing on my NYC return. I can't wait to try everything on the menu! This will always be on my agenda for all of my future visits.
