12 must-see public art installations in Singapore - SilverKris

"A striking blue mural unveiled in 2022 that depicts dancers practicing a range of styles—from the classical Malay joget to contemporary breakdancing—creating a dynamic, movement-oriented façade piece. Co-commissioned by a private patron and the Public Art Trust and created by an award-winning Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts alumnus, it serves as a bold, contemporary celebration of cultural variety on the Stamford Arts Centre exterior." - SilverKris

I was involved in the recent WVAS Spring Exhibition. I’ve been numerous time now attending art events and the staff (centre, bar, cafe) have all been very friendly and helpful. It’s a fantastic venue with great facilities and I’ll be exhibiting on my own and with other groups again in the future.

I went with my granddaughter who is 16. After eating in the cafe which was yummy we wandered into the art room and spent some time there looking at the art and other items. Also putting some puzzle pieces together before heading out to Stamford market. Lovely place.

We had the most incredible experience at the Stamford Arts Centre for our wedding! From the moment we reached out and booked, the staff were absolutely amazing. The whole team were super helpful, friendly, and supportive throughout the entire process. They were always on hand to answer our questions and offered great support not only in the run-up to the big day but even afterwards when we came to collect our items. The venue itself is so unique, we especially loved the ballroom and the art gallery space (where the bar was), which gave the whole day such a special and memorable atmosphere. We would 1000% recommend anyone looking for a creative and welcoming wedding venue to consider this place. Thank you to the entire team for helping make our day so perfect! We literally had the BEST day ever.

Managed to push my mum's wheelchair from the Wharf Road car park to here without too much difficulty. Made for a nice trip out and had cold drinks and big slice of cake each.

We had a good experience there. A very friendly greeting from the lady selling tickets for the cinema. We didn't spend as much time in the art gallery as we had visited the cinema. The cinema was used as a stage as well. The ceiling had beautiful art deco moulding, and the seats were comfortable with much leg room. The kiosks took me back to an earlier time, they were cubbyholes with wooden shelves. The film The Brutalist was a must-see. I would recommend this place.
