Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport Hotel & Conference Centre

We had a wonderful holiday in Sydney staying at Stamford Plaza. The customer service was excellent, especially as we extended our stay twice during our visit. Everything was handled smoothly, and we experienced no issues or need to change rooms. Our room was serviced daily and always spotless, with fresh towels and bathroom amenities provided each day. Room service was also outstanding and made our in-room dining experience very enjoyable. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of fresh food, and we were equally impressed with dinner at La Boca Bar and Grill – the meals were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed. The swimming pool and surrounding area were clean and well maintained. It was a lovely touch that toys and floats were provided for children, making pool time even more fun. Overall, it was an excellent experience that truly made our holiday special.

The receptionist was very pleasant and easy to deal with. However, the room service and housekeeping were extremely disappointing. I stayed for only one night and called three times for room service, but no one came. I also called at night to request some water for the room, and no one answered the phone. I have stayed at many five-star hotels for weeks at a time, but The Stamford does not even meet three-star standards in my opinion. This was my first and definitely my last stay here.

This is a great hotel next to the airport (10 min walk, probably too short for taxi, but you do you…). Its fixtures and fittings in the rooms are ‘dating’ but everything worked, and my room was IMMACULATELY clean. Big room, had what I needed to do some work there, and well located if you want to taxi into the city (pick up was never more than 4 minutes away…!). Staff were very welcoming from my very early arrival, letting me freshen up before a bag drop whilst waiting for my room to be available. Was also one of the most competitively and reasonably priced hotels over New Year’s Eve, so I left with a feeling that I would definitely return. Not ‘boutique chic’, but amazing experience. Maybe my 10th business travel hotel this year and stands out as being really cared for. Good job, Stamford Plaza!!

The location is excellent, making it easy to get to airport. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed, which made the experience feel welcoming and stress-free.The rooms are spacious and comfortable, which was a big plus. While the hotel itself feels a bit dated and could use some modern updates, the size of the rooms more than makes up for it.Another great feature was the airport shuttle service.

First time I stayed at this hotel it was a right-royal mess. I in particular found the staff very rude and dismissive. Booked on my return stay, and there was a complete contrast just 3 weeks apart. Staff were warm, receptive, polite and un-rushed. The receptionist (I believe her name is Agata) offered me a water bottle, un-prompted, after finding out about my long travel and given the Sydney heat. Great stuff and very much appreciated specially as I was severely jet-lagged and tired. The waitress at the restaurant was also lovely and up for a chat. Rooms on both stays were clean, second stay overlooked the runway which was an added bonus, since I love watching planes. I never used the pool or gym because I didn’t have time. Proximity to the airport is defeated since they still charge for a shuttle bus that I never ended up using on the first stay because the driver wanted to delay the international passengers. I wrote to the hotel twice seeking a refund and this was never addressed. Generally speaking I think the first stay was just an unfortunate one-off. Shuttle bus incident was isolated and technically not the hotel’s fault as they outsource it to a third party (as per my understanding). Given my second stay, the complete contrast in the staff attitude and experience and cleanliness and high-standard of the rooms, I’ll be happy to book again. Thank you for a great stay.

Stayed here for one night before catching a flight the next day. We arrived with our luggage around 10am. They held onto our luggage until a room became available at noon. They had a lounge area for us to wait in which had coffee and teas available. The room was surprisingly big. It was nice and clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom was supplied with toiletries and a blow dryer. The hotel is in walking distance of restaurants. We had a nice breakfast a block away at Piccolo Me Mascot.

Perfect location for cancelled Jetstar flights. Easy to book and close proximity to Sydney Domestic airport. Staff were great and accommodated our large party of 8 at short notice very well. In room dining was great and excellent food menu and quality.

Very dated but room was cleaner than most. Had no body lotion and carpark is designed for vehicles under 2m. Would not stay here again. The restaurant was horrible. The table was greasy, drinking glasses still had lipstick marks all over them, bbq sauce was all over our pants when we walked out. It had been on the lounge when we were seated and being darkish we didn't notice it. They really take advantage of travellers with prices. Do not eat at restaurant
