Stamps Backpackers Hostel & Tours Chiang Mai

Stamps has a legendary reputation amongst solo travellers in South East Asia which it lives up to. It manages to have comfortable, private, sectioned off dorm spaces while still being sociable. The evening activities are social and revolve around more than just getting drunk although that's definitely on the cards too. The way the hostel organises day activities also brings solo travellers together. Only downside was that the last time I came the volunteers were seemingly a bit over it and didn't care to interact with anyone but each other although that's not usually the case.

Stamps is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in 8 months of traveling Asia. The rooms and beds are the nicest and most private I’ve seen from a hostel. There’s a super social vibe and it’s really easy to meet people, but they never force you to get drunk and it’s always quiet at a reasonable time. The activities and events are super fun and a great way to meet people, and Stamps actually has great prices for all of them. The staff are all very nice and I’ve even become friends with a few of them during my time here. I highly recommend Stamps!

Great beds - love the a/c pod room dorms! (The first time I stayed in the fan bunks, not as nice) Great nightly events, the pub quiz and music bingo are great and make it so easy to meet people!! For a solo traveler this place is perfect! There are people for everyone to connect with and sometimes even end up traveling with! For a non solo traveler this place is also very good, I’ve met so many nice people and ended up traveling with three off them! It’s a very social hostel but there is also space to chill and relax. The staff is also so nice and ready to help you with everything you need. Also the beds are so comfortable it’s great!

Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about by the people who run it. Knight and the team go out of their way to make guests feel at home. The vibe is relaxed without being lazy, there's always something happening but no pressure to join in. Great location in Chiang Mai, clean, and the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned. Would recommend to anyone backpacking through Thailand.

If you’re coming to Chiang Mai this is the go to hostel! Originally planned to stay 5 night but extended to 8 and I was sad to leave. The staff are super friendly (shoutout to Happy & Lobster) and are always there if you need help. Each block has its own chill out area and the restaurant/bar area is a great place to meet new people. It’s such a social hostel with different events on every night, we loved the quiz night, Muai Thai and family dinner. The rooms are amazing with each person having their own pod that has a bed, locker, light, plug socket and bedside table. The toilet and shower are also separate in the room which is good. In the restaurant area you can get really tasty food either from the western or Thai menu - also their coffees are AMAZING. If you’re looking for a sociable and lovely hostel with a great vibe, this is the one for you! Highly recommend :)

Location is spectacular in a side street right off the main road in that area. When we arrived it was new years eve and party was in full swing. We were helped to our room which has a really nice layout. Each bed is separated by side walls and a tall curtain, under the bed there is a large locker which fits more than a whole backpack. Shared room had its own toilet and shower, clean well done and easy! Atmosphere at the hostel is great, during new hears eve it was crowded for the party but on the night after it was relaxed with plenty of tables for everyone to sit at outside. Staff speaks english well and is helpful in booking any transfers/trips etc. All-round good hostel and worth when you want a hostel with a higher level of luxury for a (few) night(s)

Best hostel ever, there is so much to do and it is social without ever feeling like a "party" hostel. Everyone who comes here is super nice and welcoming, which makes it easy to meet others. They also offer many deals on excursions and activities. The rooms are quiet and clean, and the staff are amazing.
