Hotel Standard Design is an excellent choice for tourists who are looking for a home base from which to explore Paris. ||||My partner and I spent a week at Hotel Standard Design during our stay in Paris, and what we appreciated most was the location of the hotel, though we were a little disappointed with the amenities. ||||The neighborhood is lively, with a great array of bars, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and boutiques that reflect a more authentic Parisian atmosphere frequented by locals and not completely overrun by tourists. The hotel is also within walking distance of 3 different metro stations, so the rest of Paris is easily accessible. ||||As far as accommodations, the hotel offers minimal amenities. The room features included: bed, small closet, shower, WC, flat screen TV, floating desk, and side tables, safe. A few notes on our room in particular - many of the hangers in our closet were broken; the doors to the shower would not close securely, and water would flood the bathroom floor; the room did not have a refrigerator, which was an inconvenience when we wanted to buy groceries from the nearby market. ||||The staff was top-notch - very professional and respectful. They helped was book train tickets to our next destination, research fine-dining restaurants and make reservations, and answered our every question. ||||Overall, we we would stay again at Hotel Standard Design for the excellent location.
