We went on Tuesday of this week. My daughter has been going for over a year. I was using a walker, so she took photos for me with my phone. The fly traps are grown only within a 100 mile radius of Wilmington, NC. So, they and the other plants have been grown here. Stanley Rehder grew the plants and worked on this beautiful location for 25 yr. He started, cultivated and helped grow this area. The walkway has trees, ferns & 100 yr old moss lining the walkway. The trees are magnolias, pine & oak. All of this park is a tribute to Stanley Rehder and The NC Park & Recreation Department.
Here are the photos taken. The walkways and the observation areas are well planned & people of all abilities can enjoy at least some of the park.
