What a gem! Based in the Old High Street, which is the quieter and perhaps more 'artisan' end of the town, we booked the Starboard apartment for one night. The key safes made access quick and easy and when we opened the door to our apartment we were blown away. It's been beautifully furnished and decorated, giving it a high-end contemporary feel. The beds were super-comfy king-size and the rooms had plenty of cupboard space and again a lux feel. Having a kitchenette was very handy as to keep costs down we cooked our own supper rather than going out for a meal. The views... gosh, they're magnificent – right over the harbour towards Flushing and St Mawes. If only we could've stayed another night! Though we didn't have breakfast, we were welcomed at the Star & Garter and they were happy for us to store our bags there until we were ready to leave Falmouth. The owners could not have been more helfpul and we were always greeted with a smile. I would have given this 5-Stars except for the fact that there's no parking (which is not a fault of the establishment in any way ) – but it was only £11 for 24 hours in Town Quarry car park, and a short walk down hill to our digs. All in all, they've got this place off to a tee. We will be back.

We loved the Starboard. It is spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The harbour view is exceptional, especially when the sun rises, magical! Very good communications with the owners, they responded to our queries precisely and efficiently. A place we will recommend to our friends and family.

Stayed in Cabin room which has panoramic view of the harbour. Lovely clean and comfortable room, super king bed, great shower with lots of water pressure. The cafe/bar is excellent, with a small but delicious menu. Probably the best full English I’ve tasted, accompanied by an outstanding Bloody Mary! Warm and friendly service, really enjoyed our stay!

We had a lovely stay and the views were stunning and nicely decorated but if we were aware of the height issues in certain areas we would not have booked. Also the Lounge Sofa was very low to the ground and flat (needs replacing)? |My Husband had to roll off it as it was that flat and uncomfortable, we both hit our heads several times due to low ceilings in certain places.

This used to be a pub with three suites before the pub was replaced with the street front café and two additional waterfront suites at the back. We have stayed in all three of the original suites. All well equipped, clean and with panoramic sea views. Very convenient location at the top of the high street with a short walk to all of the wonderful offerings from hospitality in town. On this occasion we chose the cosy Crows Nest suite with the log fire. We had forgotten however how cramped the bedroom and bathroom is but don't let that put you off. You should be able to find free on street parking within an easy walk. |Further review on Booking.com.

We know this area of Falmouth. It’s great for the town. |We stayed at the penthouse. On entering the flat, there is a very definite way factor. It’s beautiful. Tasteful furnishing, absolutely massive and spotlessly clean and hygienic the views across the river are amazing. All in all, a beautiful location to spend a few days.|It was disappointing that the shower did not work. The mixer tap was broken. Not being able to have a shower was highly inconvenient. I accept that things do get broken, but I do wish that the owner had advised us of this. The door of the fridge was also missing a shelf. It was also a very sharp edge near the cooker which should have had a protector on it. More ow factor than wow factor.|A beautiful apartment in a fantastic area in one of the best things in the UK for dining and beautiful landscapes. Just a bit disappointed with some of the facilities.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The views from our room over the harbour were beautiful and we were lucky enough to watch a stunning sunset. The Crow’s Nest was cosy, comfortable and had everything we needed for a trip away. Becca, the host, had left us a bottle of bubbles in the fridge and had set up the log burner ready to go. We couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be returning. Thank you for having us xx

Lovely clean bright room with a fantastic view! Tea/coffee facilities in the room are always a bonus. Great location as everywhere we wanted to visit was walkable.||Just a couple of minor things - heated towel rail was broken and a side table next to the chair would be useful!

Yelp
The Star and Garter at the top of the high street in Falmouth is a real old boys pub, it's the home of the infamous Falmouth Marine Band and is a great place to go for a real ale. They have live acoustic acts every week and the whole back of the pub is walled by great big glass windows that allow a fantastic view out over the bay and all the moored boats. They also serve food which tastes good and is well priced, if your looking for a real locals pub and like talking to some real characters then the Star and Garter is the place to go, some great tales can be heard from the older sailors and fishermen that drink there.

Yelp
This pub was recommended by another business owner in Falmouth when we were looking for a traditional pub in town. We were originally going to go the prince of Whales but were directed here instead. Unfortunately, this is not actually what we were expecting as this was a restaurant serving anything but traditional pub food. We were pretty disappointed but decided to stay anyway as we'd hiked up to the top of the hill and it was getting late. The chicken schnitzel and greens in marmite butter were delicious. However the charred fish was extremely bony and not very nice. The freshly made ice cream was ridiculously good as was the service, views, and cozy ambiance.

Yelp
We came here for dinner. The food was fresh and the beer selection good. Service was A+.

Yelp
The new owners have done an excellent renovation and kept the character of the building. Limited menu and beers but excellent food and drink. Bit of a hill climb to get here, at top of the High Street, but well worth it. Congratulations to all involved in retaining and making this old stalwart a new and satisfying experience.
