First time here in Gibraltar, first, drink in a bar and overall OK, bar staff prompt. Great day out, back to Spain later. Didn't have food, so I can't comment, although other customers were eating, Fidh and Chips. It's worth a visit 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Loved our visit for lunch, the hosts are so welcoming and I had the Meatballs on the specials board and it was gorgeous, coffee is also excellent, definitely would go again

The service was good and we had our food and drinks out promptly. Lovely little bar with relaxing music. The chicken wings were nice but on the smaller side - I've seen pigeons with bigger wings than what was served on our plate. There are two condiment options complementing the wings - sweet chilli or BBW (big beautiful wings?) which we later found out was HP sauce. We sat inside in the corner and my girlfriend found herself hitting her arm on the low shelf. Probably could do with moving the tables away from the wall to prevent this from happening. If you were on the larger side, I don't think you would be able to navigate around the restaurant as the seating area is cramped.

I visited this restaurant a few months ago with a group of friends, and unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience. The staff refused to accept an official ID shown on a phone, claiming that this was not allowed. To make matters worse, they proceeded to speak poorly about us to other customers—loud enough for us to hear. The food was nothing special either, definitely not worth the trouble. The only positive thing I can say is that the restaurant itself was nicely decorated.

Just a quick stop-in for drinks and dessert on a fairly slow day in January. Honestly, no complaints - service and prices were fine - I had just expected the bar to have more of a vintage feel to it considering they lean in to the 'Gibraltar's Oldest Bar' theme (I can't fault them for this - it's just what I thought I might find)... Very clean, and clearly recently renovated - it's a great place to stop-in for a meal and/or drinks, but feels far less historic than I thought it might be.

I visited this location in March. Some time has passed, but I remembered the situation and want to warn pedestrians. I was in a restaurant and asked for a drink menu. I hadn’t ordered anything yet, but I was thinking of getting an Aperol. The bartender asked me for ID, and I took out my phone with an app that serves as my ID in my country (I live in Poland with mObywatel). However, the bartender said he wouldn’t accept it. I thought that not every country would recognize this Polish app, especially a small one like Gibraltar, so I decided it wasn’t a big deal and would order something else. But instead of just saying, “okay, no problem,” the bartender started mocking me, calling me a “kid,” and ridiculing me. I was already annoyed, but that wasn’t the peak of his stupidity. This rude bartender started going to every table, telling other customers that I was underage and wanted to buy drinks, making fun of me in front of them, and then also telling the rest of the staff. I felt humiliated, and it hurt, but despite that, I stayed in the restaurant and waited for my food, which I regret because it was quite mediocre. I also asked for something from the kids’ menu since I wasn’t very hungry, and I was told they wouldn’t give it to me because I wasn’t a child. So which is it? Too young for alcohol but too old for the kids’ menu? Hilarious. I rate the whole experience 1 star because it can’t be any lower.

We were really looking forward to our visit to the Star Bar as we have visited for breakfast before but what a disappointment, the place has seriously gone down hill . I had a full English breakfast and it looked like someone had a fight with the under cooked eggs and the bacon was burnt . The toilets were dirty and no toilet paper was a seriously bad experience and I would avoid the place if I were you and find somewhere locally that knows how to run a cafe correctly and a chef that can cook . Several dishes were returned to the kitchen while we were there but when the owner (corporate Group)sees this post they will be in total denial and I'm just a bad customer sorry Ex customer that's not interested in the line ,,,, did you mention it at the time and we are proud of our award winning breakfasts ,,,,, no we didn't mention it but the owners should visit for the breakfast and they will probably not enter the breakfast in and future competitions

It's a nice venue inside with outdoor seating. The chicken wings starter had 10 pieces. The house red wine was the best I've tasted for a house wine. The chips are amazing.
