The hotel has 2 buildings. One building is the "older" part and one the "new" part. The rooms in older part are little bigger then in new part. I stayed 4 nights. After 2 days the elevators not work anymore. The next day the give me room in the new part. The breakfast is simple but good. All the staff are very friendly. The pool looks nice but I didn't use it. Hotel is near evening market. Just 1 minute walk. Near are a lot of restaurants and bar. To the airport just 15 minutes. Overal a very pleasant stay at Star Hotel in Chiang Mai. I sure will come back.

The reception girl helped me a lot during my stay. She recommended me places to eat, cheap ways to travel and spoke English very well. Very nice hotel and great location. Very close to anything you need in Chiang Mai.

Nice hotel. Hotel has older part and new part. But in older part rooms are good. In older part rooms a little more space. They still busy renew inside. All staff very friendly. Breakfast simple but good. Enough to start the day. Also have swimmingpool. I not used it but looks good. Just 1 minute walk to evening market. So shopping nearby. Sunday evening market is about 10-15 minutes walking.

Great value for money. The hotel staff provided excellent service, particularly the receptionist and the restaurant staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel's prime location offers easy walking access to the day market, night market, and various points of interest.

Had a great stay. Great location with a supermarket just 3 mins walk away. The front staff are super friendly and polite. Breakfast is decent. Room is clean. Only shortcoming is that the hot water is not really working well and that the ‘queen’ bed was created by merging 2 single beds so I could feel the edges of the single beds in the centre of the ‘queen’ bed. But not a big issue, overall highly recommended.

Old hotel undergoing renovation. Rooms are spacious, aircon is noisy. Room had pest control smell. Staff are non-courteous. Parking is limited. Breakfast is very basic. Easy to access night bazaar and location is convenient.

Absolutely fine hotel. Very basic. Don't expect any design or nice furniture or decoration. Simple hotel for spending a night and taking a shower. Rooms are spacious and shower has a good pressure, beds are firm and nice. I guess I would love to stay here again

The Star Hotel Chiang Mai: A Solid Choice with Room for Improvement My current stay at The Star Hotel Chiang Mai has been largely positive, offering a comfortable base for exploring this vibrant city. Overall, it's a good option, though there are a few areas that could be tweaked to elevate the experience. What I liked: Bed and pillows are excellent , linen is fresh and clean. The hotel's location is excellent, close to the night market, easy access to transport, etc. This made getting around Chiang Mai a breeze. My room was a junior suite, spacious, clean, well-appointed]. The bed, as mentioned was particularly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were generally friendly, helpful, efficient. What could be better: black mold in shower. Nescafe, no whitener provided, go to c mart and buy a bag of Birdy. The Star Hotel Chiang Mai offers good value for money making it a solid choice for travelers. With a little attention to the areas mentioned above, it could easily become a truly excellent hotel. I would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Chiang Mai.
