What to Know About Disney Genie+ for Your Next Trip to the Parks

"This extremely popular experience is one of a limited number of attractions that may be excluded from the bundled expedited-access add-on and instead offered as a separately purchased Individual Lightning Lane, with pricing that varies by date and demand; the separate purchases are non-refundable, non-changeable, and subject to a daily two-purchase cap." - Carly Caramanna Carly Caramanna Carly Caramanna is a theme park and travel journalist who has spent her professional career in New York City, Nashville, and Los Angeles. One of the best rides, and one of the reasons I wanted to come here! Amazing star wars experience, not scary, and the ride is planned our greatly! Love this ride and totally recommend if you want a cool, mostly relaxing, and fun ride!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance was exciting on its own—but what impressed me just as much was the Cast Members’ acting. From the moment you step in, they don’t treat you like a regular guest. You’re immediately pulled into the story—handled like an “intruder” or “criminal,” and spoken to like you’re truly part of the conflict. Then, after everything you go through, the tone shifts and you’re welcomed back with this surprisingly warm, almost “homecoming” feeling. That contrast made the whole experience even more memorable. What I love most is how Disney builds immersion down to the smallest details. It’s not just a ride—it’s a full narrative experience where you feel like you’re inside the Star Wars world. Even if you’re not a huge Star Wars fan, you can absolutely enjoy this attraction. It’s one of the most impressive themed experiences in the park.

Star Wars Rise of the Resistance remains one of my favorite rides Disney has ever created, even with the occasional downtime that comes with how ambitious it is. When it does go down, Cast Members do a great job handling recovery, and getting on later without any issues only reinforces how well the experience is managed overall. What really sets this attraction apart is that the buildup and story leading into the ride are almost as strong as the ride itself, making the entire experience feel cohesive and cinematic rather than just a single attraction. From the moment you enter until the moment you exit, it feels like a full Star Wars set piece rather than a standard theme park ride, and that level of immersion is why it continues to stand out and hold its place as a must do every visit.

This experience was 1/3 of the reason I visited Hollywood Studios and Disney World. The ride was impressive and immensely immersive including story lines while you are in the line making time fly by. The ride itself was awesome. I won’t describe too much to prevent spoilers. Just say, it’s worth the wait. We rode on a Friday morning first ride in mid September with the lightening lane. Waited about 12 minutes.

This has to be the best attraction in all Hollywood studios. Even if you're not a star wars fan you have to admire the architectural scenery and the details associated with this portion of the park. Even the employee uniforms makes you want to be a part of this theme. As you walk thru the park you actually feel like you're part of the movie itself. Greatly recommend, the gift shop is vibrant and inquisitive. With the ability to build your own robot Droid.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hands down the most immersive theme park experience in the world! Calling Rise of the Resistance just a "ride" feels like an insult—it is a full-blown cinematic adventure from start to finish. From the moment you step into the queue, you are completely transported to a galaxy far, far away. The absolute jaw-dropping highlight for us was walking into the massive Star Destroyer Hangar Bay filled with dozens of Stormtroopers. The sheer scale of that room is impossible to describe; you genuinely feel like you have been captured by the First Order. The Cast Members were perfectly in character (strict and intimidating!), which made the interrogation scene feel incredibly tense and real. The actual ride vehicle portion is a masterpiece, mixing a trackless system that glides smoothly with a sudden escape pod drop that made our stomachs flip in the best way possible. It is thrilling, cinematic, and worth every minute of the wait. Pro Tip: If you can't snag a Lightning Lane, try hopping in line during the lunch rush (12 PM - 1 PM) or right before the park closes. The wait time is often shorter than posted!

Google
This attraction is probably the most popular at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's essentially the same as the one at Disneyland in California, but the line seems shorter, lasting about 60 minutes, compared to twice that at Disneyland in California. The quality of the ride is undoubtedly top-notch, and the scenery along the way feels like being transported to a Star Wars movie set—a truly breathtaking sight. Even though you will probably need to wait for this attraction at least 60 minutes or even more, but it is still worth.

Impressive! It is very immersive and I loved it. Despite the long wait time it was totally worth it. Cast members are also part of the ride, they treat you as a rebel from Star Wars and that’s cool
